We traveled from Sarasota Florida to Lexington South Carolina to see the Eclipse. They even had a free train for the kids to ride, my son is in the first car with his shirt off. It looked like late evening but the shadows were as if it was still midday. The sky turned very dark very quickly.. like god moved the dimmer switch down on reality in a fraction of a second. The whole crowd was stunned, people were gasping. An old man yelled out how beautiful it was. We could see stars in the sky, where sky touched the ground was bright blue, above us.. only black.. with the tendrils of light coming off the sun. I never really noticed how small the sun was in the sky until then.
