It did not seem believable, but now the reality has set in. \n\nIf we were to plot the route of Bitcoin, then it has clearly surpassed the moon. The shuttle was long ago fueled and launched, with the explorers successfully landing on the moon. When i purchased my first Bitcoin, it was about $980.00 . At the current time, it it at $4543.00. That is nearly 5x of what i had originally purchased. Comparing it to space travel, We'd already be on the moon and launching more towards Mars. Our currency, the USD, has lost an incredible amount of its ability to retain value and purchasing power. Another often cited statistic, courtesy of the Department of Labor, is that wages have remained stagnant since 1973. What a coincidence !!!! Lack of value and an infinite supply of fiat currency has accelerated the demise. Doesn't help that politicians continue with their reckless policies and Central bankers looting our Treasury and savings deposits on Wall Street.\n\nThe main point that I'm trying to get out is that the current system we have is slowly becoming less and less relevant.The American comedian Bill Hicks said: \"The state, church and everything else is failing. Why? Because they are no longer relevant. We're supposed to keep evolving. Evolution did not end with us going opposable thumbs. You do know that, right? There's another 90 percent of our brains that we have to illuminate.\"\n\nThe next evolution will begin. It is slowly unfolding day by day, week by week.",

Seems to be all you hear nowadays. I guess i am lumped into this group, being born in 1990 and coming of age in the mid to late 2000s. But for some reason, I could not be farther away from this group.\n\nThroughout high school, I was a very dedicated student. I accomplished all my work when needed and received high marks in a majority of my classes. There was always one recurring theme that was pushed by the faculty: COLLEGE. The school was preparing us men, it was an all-boys Catholic school, for careers in the \"business\" world. A college diploma was deemed necessary to succeed in this venture and would apparently enlighten us to a whole other level of intelligence. With most classes, there were students who could barely accomplish their work and pass. But this cult of \"higher education\" was enveloping these students as well and pushing them into this forced rite of passage. The majority did as they were told they must do, apply and attend at least some form of college. Of course, a few chose the military as they option to serve their county and see the world. \n\n![college pic .jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXRozh4K3ypojt1ra2YxVgDwed5wDYvy4oRGtPPgV1mTM/college%20pic%20.jpg)\n\nUnlike most, I mainly engaged in the charade that i was applying to universities and was willing to attend in the coming fall.  While one of my fellow students applied to 15 colleges, I chose 4 to keep the administration off of my back. When the year finished and time came to register for college classes, i opted to take a year off. At the time, i was working full time in a wholesale  beverage warehouse and was making decent money. At times, i was working 6 days a week, in the excess of 10 hours a day, making decent pay. When the time came to take the placement test for the upcoming winter enrollment, i decided to at least take the exams to show i was going with the crowd. Prior to the testing, I encountered much hostility from friends, neighbors and curious folk who would frequently enquire about my status as an upcoming student. When the time came to decide upon classes and begin registration, i simply could not give up a job with guaranteed income for a financially strained existence as a full time student.  It would not only deprive myself, but also my family of any needed financial assistance for the household. \n\nSticking with my own beliefs and not going with the masses helped me to see the world in a different view. While working, i gained a valuable education that is more than likely not taught in schools. I learned that sacrifice, responsibility, punctuality and common sense are key factors in succeeding in any type of business. I was up most mornings at dawn and would return home when the sun was going down. If you didn't put in the work, as a business owner or employee, you would suffer and all others associated would suffer too. These things are not taught in college, which only seems to enable a prolonged adolescence.\n\nThe message that I'm trying to get through is that this generation needs to take a long, hard look at themselves. One of the most important things a person can have is integrity, independence and individuality. This mass movement, and often compulsory, that is garnered toward college enrollment needs to be reevaluated. It is obvious that colleges have latched onto the government-backed loan market and are exploiting it to their advantage. A college education is a necessity for some professions, but entry level work often does not need it. Some jobs reject applicants because they are overqualified. Trade school is an option, which pays out much more than some degrees and gives you a skill that can be taken anywhere. The path i took was a rather different one, work full-time and explore other options. I got an education, but not in the accepted mainstream sense. If this generation simply valued individuals and their own goals, we would not be in the mess that we are currently in.",

      "body": "As the weeks go by and things continue to spiral into absolute moral decay, I found a recurring theme that it constantly bombarding those who rely upon the mainstream media for their daily propaganda. \n\n![Winston Smith .jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPpKXETowXoDugw2aB7WtRQNtLZpYGyTzRotbaDrJmqNL/Winston%20Smith%20.jpg)\n\nAs an avid reader and one who went down the rabbit hole a few years back, I've always been a fan of George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and other dystopian writers. Orwell's novel, 1984, has been one that has been on my mind for the past few months. The protagonist, Winston Smith, could be the modern day individual, who is  becoming more and more of a minority against the masses and is questioning the morality and values of the current society.  He himself has witnessed the past being erased or blatantly ignored, in favor of appealing to falsehoods that trigger the emotions of the masses. \n\nSince the election of Donald Trump, it is incredibly obvious that the Mainstream media was weaponized by the Democrats and lifelong bureaucrats to slander and discredit the newly elected president. Falsehoods and flat out lies are being reported under the cloak of anonymous sources. One theme from 1984 that has played out before our eyes is 2+2=5. When Winston is being tortured by O'Brien, he makes him recite that mathematical problem over and over again until it is the only solution he knows. Obviously, 2+2=4. The power of brainwashing and propaganda is alarmingly evident. The mainstream media broadcasts these stories, i.e Russian influence, at a constant and suffocating rate. There has been no hard or credible evidence proving any of their stories, with speculation and bold faced lies being reported as \"news\".\n\nIf ten years go, someone said that i would stop watching television, i would have said they were full of it. But with the amount of garbage and lies being shoved down the throats of the masses, it is just not tolerable. Turning of the TV is probably the best option for everyone.
