Scientists still continue to do research on it and they are finding more and more interesting data about water. March 22 is celebrated worldwide as Day of Water Resources.\n</p>\n<p>\n Currently 70% of our planet is covered by water. At the same time only 1% of water is drinkable. Every year the problem of access to water resources is becoming acute. Over the past 50 years the world has seen as many as 507 conflicts related to access to water. 21 dispute led to military action.\n</p>\n<p>\n Water is the most simple and familiar substance on the planet. But at the same time, water is fraught with a lot of mysteries. Scientists still continue to do research on it and they are finding more and more interesting data about water.\n</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact One: the purest water in Finland</h3><p></p>\n<p>\n According to UNESCO, the purest water is in Finland. 122 countriesparticipated in the study of fresh natural water. Whereas 1 billion people worldwide have no access to safe water at all.\n</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Two: it is faster to get ice from hot water </h3><p></p>\n<p>\nWhich water will turn into ice faster: hot or cold? Logically, of course, cold.  Because hot water must first cool down, and then freeze, but cold water does not need to cool down. However, experiences show that it is faster to get ice from hot water. The exact answer to the question, why hot water freezes faster than cold, still does not exist. Maybe it's the difference in the supercooling, evaporation, ice formation, convection, or the cause lies in the influence of diluted gases on the hot and cold water.\n</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Three: supercooling of water</h3><p></p>\n<p>\n We all remember well from the school physics course that water freezes at 0 degrees and boils at 100 degrees. However, there is so-called supercooling of water. This feature has very pure water without additives. Even when cooled below the freezing point this water remains liquid. But in fact, in both cases there is a temperature at which water would boil or ice.\n</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Four: the water has more than 3 states</h3><p></p>\n<p>\n From school everyone knows that water has 3 states: liquid, solid and gaseous. However, scientists isolated 5 different states of water in the liquid form and 14 states in the frozen form.\n</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Five: water is like glass</h3><p></p>\n<p>\n What happens if you take frozen pure water and continue cooling? There will be wonderful transformations with water. At minus 120 degrees Celsius water becomes super-viscous or thick, and at the temperature below minus 135 degrees, it turns into &quot;glass&quot; water. &quot;Glass&quot; water is a solid substance, which lacks crystalline structure, as in the glass.\n</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Six: the basis of life – water</h3><p></p>\n<p>Water is the basis of life. Every living animal and vegetable consists of water: animals – up to 75%, fish - 75%, jellyfish - 99%, potatoes - 76%, apples - 85%, tomatoes - 90%, cucumbers - 95 %, and watermelons - 96%. Even a person consists out of water. 86% of the water is in the body of a newborn and up to 50% in the body of the elderly person.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Seven: Water is a carrier of diseases</h3><p></p>\n<p>Water not only gives life, but it can also take it away. 85% of all diseases in the world are transmitted through water. Every year 25 million people die from these diseases.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Eight: man dies without water</h3><p></p>\n<p>If a person loses 2% of water of his body weight, then he or she has a strong thirst. If the percentage of the lost water increases up to 10, then the person will start hallucinating. If you lose 12% you will not be able to recover without the help of a doctor. When 20% is lost a person dies.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Nine: most fresh water - in glaciers</h3><p></p>\n<p>Where is the most of water contained? The answer seems obvious: in the oceans. But in fact, in the mantle of the Earththere is 10-12 times more water than in the oceans. Moreover, almost all the available body of water on the planet is not suitable for drinking. We can drink only 3% of that water - that is how much we have of fresh water. But even most of the 3% is not available, since it is contained in the glaciers.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Ten: water as diet</h3><p></p>\n<p>With water you can fight obesity. Consuming only water as a drink, you can dramatically reduce the total caloric intake. First, because a person stops caloric sweet juices and soda, and secondly, because after drinking there is less craving for food, as it is in the case of tea or coffee.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Eleven: Water for Healthy Heart</h3><p></p>\n<p>Water helps reduce the risk of heart attack. During the study, researchers found that those who drink about six glasses of water per day, have lower risk of heart attack as opposed to those who drink just two glasses.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Twelve: 35 tons of water over lifetime</h3><p></p>\n<p>Without water a person can live a very short time. The demand for water is in the second place after the oxygen. Without food a person can live for about six weeks, but without water - five to seven days. Throughout his life a person drinks about 35 tons of water.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Thirteen: the most expensive water</h3><p></p>\n<p>Water may be free, and may be very expensive. The most expensive water in the world is sold in Los Angeles. Manufacturers pack the precious liquid with a balanced flavor and ph value in bottles with &quot;Swarovski&quot; rhinestones. The price of such water is 90 $ for 1 liter.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Fourteen: there is water which burns</h3><p></p>\n<p>There is also a dangerous water. For example, in Azerbaijan there is a type of water in which a lot of methane is dissolved, so it can catch fire if exposed to a match. And in Sicily there is a lake in which underwater acid sources poison all the water in this reservoir.</p>\n<p></p><h3>Fact Fifteen: protein in water</h3><p></p>\n<p>Sea water is a very nutritious substance. In 1 cubic centimeterof such water thereare 1.5 grams of protein and other substances. Scientists believe that only the Atlantic Ocean in its nutritional value is estimated at 20 thousand ofcrop yields collected during the year throughout the planet.</p>",
