Anna Netrebko lies down while singing a lot of times in La Traviata, that you can watch fully on youtube. \nSome tips from me is that your breath control is the most important thing next to your diaphragm. You can start with training on a s or f; just breath in and count up to 15, next 20, then 25 and then 30 seconds of breathing out. For your diaphragm you can try to hold something heavy, so that your body supports your voice while singing. Your diaphragm should be open all the time you sing and while you breathe you can relax it.\n If you think about those two things while doing your singing exercises it should improve, but it depends on your amount or training. If you feel your voice is getting tired, just take a break and start again in 2 hours or the next day.",

      "body": "Any tips for working and training your voice in bed?  I love singing, but have never done it in public other than a few times in a community play, and church.  I've been extremely ill the last three years and bed ridden and not even able to sit up about 75% of the time.  Needless to say my muscles have deteriorated horribly, and my voice is much weaker as a result.  Earlier today I wanted to sing a song for a friend and send it to her because her mom died suddenly and I couldn't be there, and I was surprised at how shaky my voice felt singing.       "body": "<html>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Earlier today a dear friends mom died. &nbsp;I am currently thousands of miles away, and have been bed bound almost entirely the past three years with a severe blood infection That went undiagnosed for years. &nbsp;So there was no way I could run to her side like I wanted to. &nbsp;So I decided to sing her a song. &nbsp;I'm scared to death to post myself singing, especially since I was trying not to cry, and I'm very ill, and couldn't even sit up in bed to sing. &nbsp;I loose my breath a lot, and my voice cracks a lot. &nbsp;I'm NOT a professional singer. &nbsp;I don't sing regularly at all anymore, &nbsp;I do love singing though... &nbsp;always have. &nbsp;It has help me cope with and make it through some of the most difficult things in my life. &nbsp;Loosing my mother on my 20th Birthday. &nbsp;Loosing three babies before finally conceiving my son. &nbsp;Loosing my sister to a cult. &nbsp;To loosing my health, life, friends, and dignity at 28. Becoming paralyzed, in a wheelchair. &nbsp;Being cared for 24/7 by my husband. &nbsp;Music has always been there. &nbsp;Through the darkest nights when I went an entire month without sleeping more than 2 hours in a 24 hour period, and usually less than 1. &nbsp;Music was there. &nbsp;When my son was finally born after loosing 3 before him, and he had to come by emergency C-section a month early to save both mine and his life, but then an hour later went into full cardiac arrest in a hospital grossly under equipped to deal with an infant his size. &nbsp;Thankfully a helecopter had been called, and arrived just in time. &nbsp;They took 2 hours to resuscitate my baby boy, meanwhile I was trapped in a bed, unable to move my legs from the surgery still, and I was left alone in my hospital room hearing code after code being called for my baby, that I KNEW by the sounds was dying. &nbsp;But no one was there to tell me what was happening, and I was paralyzed from the waist down and couldnt just go find out. &nbsp;Music was there. &nbsp;When I was so sick after the C-section I was so ill I couldn't leave the hospital, and my deathly sick baby was hours away in another state fighting for his life, the sickest infant they had in the whole NICU for weeks (no small feat). &nbsp;And I did nothing but cry and pump breast milk to save for the baby I hoped would live long enough to eat it. &nbsp;&nbsp;And still, music was there. &nbsp;Through a jingle on TV, to a song on my iPod on frantic repeat, to a sweet friend singing to me as the tears poured down my face \"the sun will come out, tomorrow.\" &nbsp;Music was always there to say what I needed to hear. &nbsp;And that was that someone cared. &nbsp;For me.</p>\n<p>So today when my friends mother passed away suddenly and I couldn't run sit with her, &nbsp;I racked my brain for what I COULD do... &nbsp;what would be meaningful to me? &nbsp;MUSIC!</p>\n<p>And so with a voice literally shaking and quaking with the nerves of singing, and the emotion of this situation, I lay in bed, and sang into my phone, while a karaoke track plays on my TV. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Nothing fancy, but full of love. &nbsp;I snapped a photo after I sang that I attached to the file, but I didn't want to take a video. &nbsp;Usually I would play the piano, and sit up at least, but today I was too weak, and I felt it couldn't wait another day, and who knows when I'll be strong enough to do that anyway! &nbsp;This song I sing one I've played over and over while I've been deathly ill and vomiting through a lot of sleepless nights. &nbsp;\"You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now. &nbsp;Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound.\" was such a comfort lyric on those horrific nights. &nbsp;Of course I'm talking about Safe And Sound by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars. &nbsp;It's a haunting and beautiful melody. &nbsp;I hadn't heard this exact version before and slipped up a bit, so please be advised this isn't a professional recording, and I'm not a professional singer. &nbsp;But my husband told me I MUST share it here on Steemit, and part of my healing from this illness has been to be bold in ways I never have and start using my voice, even from bed. &nbsp;And while naturally I would have continued to procrastinate rather than actually sing for any type of public to hear, my friend needing some love and music? &nbsp;That was JUST the motivation I needed. &nbsp;&nbsp;So here is my beloved offering to anyone going through a really hard time. &nbsp;Please comment and share with anyone you know having a difficult time. &nbsp;\"Come morning light, you and I'll be Safe And Sound.\"</p>\n<p>You'll be alright My friends. &nbsp;You'll be alright. &nbsp;💕</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>https://www.facebook.com/ashley.p.glassman/posts/10101263436480364</p>\n</html>",
