He was a great king and under his rule the kingdom flourished. He was such a great king that one of his subjects decided to present with a special a gift; a flower that if eaten, would bestow eternal life.\n\nBhartriji was grateful for this gift. He seriously considered eating it himself but decided that it was too good for him. Instead, he gave it to his wife, the person that he loved and cherished more than anyone else in the world. \n\nHis wife was grateful for gift. But after giving it some thought, she decided that it was too good for her and gave it to her lover. Her lover also decided that it was too good for him and decided to give it to someone else. And on and on it went until eventually it made its way back to the king. \n\nThis was how Bhartriji discovered that his wife had betrayed him. He was so upset that he rejected all of his earthly responsibilities, ate the flower and went off into the forest.\n\nAfter hundreds of years of living in the forest, spending his days meditating under a tree, he decided to return to his former kingdom. When he returned he told the people there to dig a hole six feet deep, bury him in the hole, and encase the tomb in concrete. I can’t say exactly how that conversation went but eventually he convinced them. So they dug the hole, buried him alive, encased the tomb in concrete and left him there. \n\nYou can imagine their surprise when 106 years later, Bhartriji walked into town. He went to the same spot where had been buried and told the people there to dig another hole right next to the original grave which was exactly as they had left it a century ago, bury him in there alive, and encase the tomb in concrete. They probably required less convincing this time around.\n\n106 year later, he shows up again and tells the people to bury him again, right next to the other two graves which were still untouched. \n\nHe kept coming back every 106 years (nobody knows how) with the same instructions and today his 7 graves sit side-by-side. Each of them unmolested, unopened, and undisturbed. \n\nHis last burial was in 2006. A festival is held in his honor every year during the September new moon. I’m going to go there myself and update this post once I’ve seen Bhartriji’s seven graves myself. If I’m lucky enough to get my hands on a flower of life, I’ll be there to witness the seventh burial in 2110. \n\nAs a reader whose beliefs are formed by Western influences, you probably think this story is bullshit because immortality is a foreign concept to Western cultures. The eastern scriptures have plenty of references to immortals but the Western scriptures only have four: Melchizedek, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The high success rates of producing immortals in eastern cultures is said to be due to all the yoga and meditation. There are so many immortals roaming the forests and mountains in that region that you can’t go for a walk in the woods without tripping over a naked immortal yogi. Rumour has it that there are entire tribes of immortal monks chilling in the Himalayas, laughing at all the climbers who need gear just to reach them. \n\nAnyway, I promised you some hot-takes so here they are:\n\n<h1>1.\tYou’ve probably been offered a shot at immortality and you passed</h1>\n\nAs seen at the beginning of the story, the gift of immortal life passed through many hands before it got back to someone who had the balls to take it for himself. Who knows how many more hands it passed through before it got to him the first time. \n\nYou’re probably thinking that you would remember if someone presented you with such a gift and I can give your at least one example; Jesus Christ. \n\nThis guy presented a whole manual on how you can live eternally on earth here and now and people decided that they would rather be sinners. Christians looked at the guide, decided that the Laws of Life are too hard to follow, and turned him into an idol to be worshiped rather than an example to be followed. \n\n<h1>2.\tImmortality is Boring </h1>\n\nBhartriji was so bored after centuries of meditating in the forest that he decided to show up in his old hood every hundred years or so and fuck and with people’s heads. \n\nHip-Hop heads will notice that he broke a vital rule of success: once you’ve made it out of the hood, never go back or you’ll end up six feet under. \n\n<h1>3.\tImmortals don’t hang out with regular folk</h1>\n\nImagine that you’re chilling in corner of the house, meditating peacefully for weeks on end, and your roommate notices that you haven’t moved or eaten for a really long time. In fact, you’re so chill in your meditation that geckos are walking across your eyeballs. Or they walk in on you having a great night dancing with trans-dimensional beings that only you can see. You already know that shit’s gonna land you in a psyche ward which is why Bhartriji had no choice but to retire to the forest. The immortal monks chilling in the Himalayas aren’t just there for the great energy: they’re there because they know they are less likely to be disturbed by the normies. \n\n<h1>4.\tTrust no one</h1>\n\nBhartriji was the greatest king that the kingdom had ever seen and his wife still cheated on him. Because she likes it.\n\nNo woman will ever admit to this. The ones who have been through domestic violence issues will deny it with every part of their being but the hard truth is that there are parts of a woman’s brain that light up like a Christmas tree when a nigger goes postal on her. Objectively, she knows it is wrong to take delight in such a destructive act but there is no fighting biology. \n\nAnother reason that they like a good rhino-charge is relationship security. Knowing that the man loses his cool for her lets her know that she has complete control over his emotions. She can flip him on and off like a switch and then brag about it to her friends saying: “Look! Look what I can make my man do!”\n\nWhile most women do their best not to encourage such barbaric behavior, there are other girls who go out of their way to push these buttons. \n \nA friend of a friend and his girlfriend had a domestic the other day. Plenty of blood, bruises and drama. A girl I was seeing at the time told me about it and I cannot remember her exact wording but her message was clear:\n \n“I want what she’s having.\"\n\nOnce the shock wore off and I realized what she was asking for, I tried to explain to her that 1. I am way too emotionally stable to lose my cool like that (side-effects of excessive meditation), and 2. We do not have to trauma bond. That was not what she wanted to hear because apparently, nothing solidifies a relationship quite like a good domestic. \n\nI did not want to be a prude so I considered maybe coming to some kind of compromise. I figured I could role-play it and pretend to go postal (after she has signed the consent forms, of course) but I was not confident that I would be able to sell it. It would be like that scene in Endgame where the Avengers go back in time and Smart Hulk has to pretend to be Rage Hulk. The idea was abandoned but I made a mental note to be taking a bigger wind-up when I smack her ass.\n\nAs much as I’d like to berate women for getting off on such depraved shit, I understand why they feel this way. Women need to feel a man’s masculine energy and if she is not feeling her man’s raw masculinity, she will poke his buttons until he explodes. How you deal with your woman in this situation will define your character as a man.\n\nIf you doubt that they are actually enjoying themselves, really listen the next time a woman gives you her DV story. Look for the excitement in her eyes and the elevation of her tone. Does she sound like she’s describing a horrible event or her favorite ice cream? One woman even told me how she was flitting in and out of consciousness while the blows rained and she sounded like she was describing the best roller-coaster she had ever been on. \n\nWhooping a bitch is convenient for some men, but for others hitting his woman feels like keying his own car just because it won’t start. It will make him feel better in the short run but it will not keep her from repeating the action. This method only works if your digging stick can reach all the way to the back.\n\nMy fellow Kings, if dicking her down is not calming her uterus demons then you’ll either have to bring in a big-dicked professional or take the nuclear option and walk away. Walking away is the nuclear option because there is nothing you can do to hurt a woman more than taking away your love and attention. There is no punch, headbutt, or whipping you can deliver that will do more damage to your woman’s psyche than ignoring her. Bruises will heal but the open wound of being ostracized will never heal and she will do everything in her power to stay as far away from you as possible. You’ll lose the girl but you won’t have to spend a night in a cell or suffer the eternal label of “wife-beater”. She will also 100% use that incident against you when she decides to destroy you before moving on to the next fool she can control. \n\nThe problem with being a wife-beater is not that you would damage something so delicate as a woman, because we all know that there are times when she is literally asking for it, but that you reveal yourself as a man who cannot keep his cool under pressure and such man a is a liability in times of crisis. Because there is a sadistic game some women like to play called “Let’s You and Him Fight” and it is much more interesting. \n\nSo my friend morphs into full Kinuthia and decides to confront the guy. The accused in this case was a Somali Guy and I hate to sound racist, but those guys are not known for keeping their cool. Things looked like they were going to escalate into a fight and the Somali guy bolted. \n\nBasking in the glory of the service that he had just provided to womankind, my friend went about the rest of the night dreaming about the really tight hug that he would maybe get as a thank you. \n\nWhen my friend left the club, he found the accused waiting for him outside. A fight started, and my friend was clobbering the asshole but Somali Guy had backup. While my boy smashed the accused’s head in, the backup stabbed my friend twice. Once below the heart, and once where neck meets shoulder. \n\nChamp didn’t even feel it. He didn’t even know anything was wrong until someone else pointed out that he was bleeding. Like, a lot. Pieces of flesh were hanging off him. They rushed him to the nearest hospital to get stitched up, and he was stuck with six weeks of recovery on top of a hospital bill worth a quarter of a million bobs. All this bullshit over some bitches who probably did not even send him a get-well-soon card. \n\nMy learned gentlemen, the moral of this story is quite simple: \n\n<i><b>When you feel Kinuthia activating, LET HER DROWN.</i></b>\n\n*If you recognize yourself as ‘my friend’ in this tale, I am sorry for co-opting your story. The accused in this case was a Somali Guy and I hate to sound racist, but those guys are not known for keeping their cool. Things looked like they were going to escalate into a fight and the Somali guy bolted. \n\nBasking in the glory of the service that he had just provided to womankind, my friend went about the rest of the night dreaming about the really tight hug that he would maybe get as a thank you. \n\nWhen my friend left the club, he found the accused waiting for him outside. A fight started, and my friend was clobbering the asshole but Somali Guy had backup. While my boy smashed the accused’s head in, the backup stabbed my friend twice. Once below the heart, and once where neck meets shoulder. \n\nChamp didn’t even feel it. He didn’t even know anything was wrong until someone else pointed out that he was bleeding. Like, a lot. Pieces of flesh were hanging off him. They rushed him to the nearest hospital to get stitched up, and he was stuck with six weeks of recovery on top of a hospital bill worth a quarter of a million bobs.
