      "body": "Ok the volume has died down to less than 1 bitcoin in the last 24 hours on TER....\n\nIt may be going flat.\n\nMeanwhile I see some other coins making strong signals. LTC looks primed for another breakout to the up side, I like it at 0.0195 BTC or so.\n\nI've stayed in TER because it's spikes up to trend have regularly been 100% plus. So one spike up and I'm whole with a little profit.\n\nBut if the volume dies and the trend crosses the price, and the coin goes into permanent doldrums....That's not what we want at all....\n\nAlso there are questions as to the viability of the coin. I've known this since I started trading, but wasn't planning to be a holder of TER for anything but the shortest term possible so the scuttlebutt concerns making the rounds relevant to my trade term.  Livecoin hasn't mentioned any intent to delist the coin, nor any other of the typical warnings you get (livecoin delisted steem with two weeks notice, I don't know why) if there's a problem with a coin.\n\nAnd there's a huge pile of sell orders (good sized ones) at .950 BTC and up. It's a LOT of resistance.\n\nTook a bad hit but still up 90% or so for december so far!\n\nI'm still thinking about it. I don't want to miss a spike if it happens....Holding this post til I make a decision!\n\nAny one of the big sell orders just above the current prices could clean out the sellers pretty far down. Of course, earlier in the week, I exited a trade because of the same condition at a higher price and it popped exactly one second after I bailed.... Ter is in its daily doldrums for right now, but due to go active any time now. For those who have been watching as I blog you know what I mean about the daily doldrums. \n\nI have to decide what to do now that the trend has reached my limit order. Out of prudence, I'm lowering my sell order to 2.33 from 2.60 BTC. This keeps me a little below the trend, profitable (bareley). The trend is going to intersect current trading levels awfully soon now, and that's going to be the crux. If it breaks that trendline, that would be extremely bullish (but don't forget the retest!)\n\nIf it doesn't beak out, it will probably drop to a new trading level. So I'm setting my limit sell lower along with the decline of the trend. I don't want to be left hanging when with my order just out of reach when the next trend test hits. It's due any time now. I got a hit on a small holding (FST, I have 10% of my port in various coins, 90% allocated to short term daily trading) so I bought more TER at 1.13 to bring my average price down a bit more (not much it was a small 3% allocation holding that popped).\n\nIf  the trend continues to decline to current price without a test, I'll wait for the crossing, and make my final decision then. \n\nBy the way, I've taken two losses this week that are larger than this one via friggin typos (used to standard size keyboard, using laptop now since desk rig went belly-up). That's why I'm not all bent up about yesterdays decline. I've suffered and made back similar losses this week already.\n\nAt least this one wasnt't a TYPO...ferchristssake...",

It's not the first time I've been down. I lost a follower but there's always someone who panics and gives up. Here's my technical work-up. As you can see, although TER is down hard today, it's not falling out of trend. There is a steep SUB-trend that's been going all day, and it looks like that'll be broken soon.\n\nOnce that sub-trend is broken, it'll free up space for another advance to the larger magnitude trend. The larger view (well, larger for me) pulls some context into the picture. The trend is obvious, the numerous tests are obvious..That's where the profit is. \n\nThe two upper lines are the peak trend and the bar trend (open/close). The peak trendline has been hit an extended number of times. In eliott wave notation this would be called an \"extension wave.\" \n\nThat means it's extending past the point where it should have broken the upper trends, but is stuck in an extension. The interesting thing about extension waves is that they tend to correct violently in the opposing direction. So that's what I'm holding for: A retest of the upper trends, with the high possibility of a breakout above them. I put, and keep my limit in at the bar trend, because it's an easier fill. Any buying that drives the price up to trend will pick me up on the way. \n\nEven though TER is down heavy today, I still think the upper trends are due to be broken imminently. \n\nI'm giving you some great lessons and tips!       "body": "So here I am in cypto hell. Holding through a spike has only just started to recover. I thought TER was forming up for a soft turn, but it went hard. Nnw at 1.04 BTC. So, do I sell.? Why? I'm already all hammered down, no need to panic when the damage is already done. This looks like a nice spikey bottom to me, for one thing. The only reason I would sell is to get a better price.       "body": "Great opportunity here. I took advantage of it. On the TER books is a sell order for a large amount of TER. It's take a while to fill. Sell/Buy is at 1.68 by 170 BTC, extremely tight. When the spreads tighten, TER moves. so that's a great price (allegedly) and a big prder so there's actually time to capitalize on it. All I can say is \"I did it.\"\n\nI put in a limit for the back-up fills at 3.75 BTC. I'm keeping the initial basic position sell a 4.20 BTC.\n\n\nAnother great tip for you!       "body": "Setting my sell for the basic position at TER 4.20 BTC. The next spike should take it up past the two last run ups, due to the changing chart pattern from bearish to bullish (pretty much a given, now). So the next level of resistance is the spike that goes to 4.89. My limit is well within that range. If I miss a pop, i'll bring it down again.\n\nI still don't like the BTC chart much, but it's doing a relief rally right now, so, for the time being, I'll keep my reserves in limit orders (locking in the BTC holdings). \n\nI effectively bought BTC at 1700.       "body": "Ok I got a fill for enough to make bank if TER pops before retracing and testing resistance, which I am hard pressed to find. I'm just going off the order books. It took two hours to fill. A little bidding battle ensued and we took the price from 2.33 to 2.50, 0.0000000001 BTC at a time. I filled at 233 for more than half of the allocation, but had to bid up to 2.50 to get the allocation to 25%. It ended up being 33%, what with partial fills and my hip shooting style.\n\nAverage price for the basic position: 2.38 approx (eyeballed average). The remaining 70% of funds are currently parked in BTC until and if I move them onto an alternative default position (IE what do I hold my reserves in?). In effect I bought BTC when I sold TER at 3.75 on the last pop. I have to look at the charts and see what I want to do with by back up nugget. I'll let you know!\n\nI'm going to examine the charts and set limit buys at lower prices. I'd love to put my reserve to work under 2.00 BTC. I'm not certain that that will be possible. I took the basic position at these levels because I think it's getting ready to pop big time, and I don't want to be left behind if it does it before any further retracement.\n\nSo many great tip for you! Looking at the bids the buyers are at 2.33 still so I'm going to be cycle bidding (I explained that in an earlier post) to get another fill down there.\n\nWe're seeing much more activity now.       "body": "Yeah but those coins that go up that far almost always come back down. I'd say the probability is 80% If you're not there and prepared to sell, you just end up where you started. The odds of a long term holder being on the spot are pretty low.\n\nMost people don't have the time. I'm disabled I can't walk anymore so i have nothing but time. For most people I say \"Just buy some bitcoin.\"\n\nI'm not giving advice, I'm documenting my trades, and sharing some of my tools. I haven't recommended anything, or advised anything.       "body": "TER bottomed out now it's back. The chart has gone bullish after dropping and hitting bottom just below 2 btc. I wasn't around and didn't see it happen. Thank god! I would have been cringing with mortal fear with my finger on the bailout button...\n\nSo now it's rallied up and hit as high as 2.50 btc. For those that don't know, I am in TER at 2.27 (approx), and althoug I day trade TER, I also feel it's a great buy for a hold until you make a bunch of money, and I'm thinking along those lines myself. I think after I take profits, or mourn my loss, whichever the case may be, that I'll keep a little for a big move on the higher magnitude.\n\nI mentioned that we need to see a spike pointing down and a rally that holds, both of which are forming up as I write. TER powered up, and for the first time in forever it seems (I haven't seen it since I started trading it last week) both those formations are appearing. TER rallied up pretty strongly from the bottom (definitely a bottom IMHO) and the rally held (so far). This is readily apparent on the 15 min bar and 30 min bar chart. Both show a second bar advance within the upper half of the trading range. Hourly it shows a big green bar. Larger magnitudes can't see it yet.\n\nNo limit order in, I'm going to let it run unless conditions change on the larger magnitudes. I'll do a chart later maybe. You can get four minute bar charts anywhere if you want to see it right away. The chart I use is from livecoin.net, I'm not sure if visitors can use it I'm always logged in.
