As weird as it may looks like, cats tends to own everything, like things, places and ourselves as well!. </p>\n<p><b>I have to mention that everything said on this post is based on my life experience worth of 28 years living with cats, stray cats and home cats.</b></p>\n<p>In their world, for cats, human beings are alike them, cats, with the difference on size and our language, their growing teach them different trust conducts and coexistence that allows them adapt their environment.</p> \n<p>There are lots of interesting myths and tales about cats but there are times where we can’t find answers to their behavior to us, there are behaviors that shock us and sometimes they even mimic what we do but. Taking back our first question “who’s the owner?” we must take in consideration the following</p>\n<p><q>As humans we must earn their trust</q></p>\n</div>\n<div class=\"pull-right\">\n<p>Hay mucho que se sabe de los gatos y su comportamiento pero, se han cuestionado ¿Quién es el dueño? Por más irónico que parezca, los gatos son animales que tienen por costumbre adueñarse de las cosas, lugares y también, ¡de nosotros mismos!</p>\n<p><b>Cabe destacar, que lo que expongo en este artículo se basa en vivencias personales de 28 años conviviendo con gatos caseros y callejeros.</b></p>\n<p>En su mundo, para los gatos, los seres humanos somos como ellos, unos gatos, a diferencia del tamaño y nuestro vocabulario, su desarrollo les enseña diversas conductas de confianza y convivencia que les permite adaptarse a su entorno.</p>\n<p>Existen casos muy curiosos y muchos mitos acerca de los gatos pero muchas veces quedamos sin respuestas al ver cómo se comporta nuestro amigo felino con nosotros, hay conductas que nos dejan perplejos y hay veces incluso que imitan nuestro comportamiento, pero concretando la pregunta de ¿Quién es el dueño? Debemos tomar en cuenta el siguiente aspecto</p>\n<p><q>El ser humano es quien debe ganarse la confianza del gato.</q></p>\n</div>\n<hr>\n<center>https://brian-harrison.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/cherry-blossom-trees-wallpaper-decoration-ideas-50-lovely-cherry-blossom-wallpapers-to-brighten-your-desktop.jpg</center>\n<center><a href\"https://brian-harrison.net/4629/cherry-blossom-trees-wallpaper-decoration-ideas-19-09-2017/\">Source/Fuente</a></center>\n<hr>\n<div class=\"pull-left\">\n<p>This is a bit complicated but we must know how felines interact on the wild to comprehend why cats got their “ego” that up high.</p>\n<p>Cats are animals that are usually alone, they tend to be nomads and territorials at the same time (depends on the animal’s sex) they group with other cats after a series of fights or because they share the same territory for a long period of time, hierarchy determines who’s the “alpha cat” and it gives them privileges on their territory and to copulate with female cats. Now that we know a little of their wild side, we can conclude that hierarchy determines “respect” among other cats, but a home cat won’t fight a human to get their territory neither to copulate, we can even assure that at the moment we bring a cat to our home we ditch their wild side a bit. All those coexistence details for these felines is what I call being “king”.</p>\n<p>As any other king, they have their demands, food, petting and of course a name. From that moment we start a new adventure with our new cat to try to establish a link that allows us to enter their environment to be called their equal, factors like upbringing, games and liberty helps the cat to feel comfortable, but that doesn't mean that they trust entirely on us.</p>\n<p>How do we know if our cat trusts us?</p>\n<p>There’s an easy way to know, their tail… Yes! Their tail!</p>\n</div>\n<div class=\"pull-right\">\n<p>Este primer punto es un tanto curioso y se debe conocer un poco como es la interacción de los felinos en su hábitat salvaje para poder comprender por qué los gatos tienen el \"ego\" tan elevado. </p>\n<p>Los gatos son animales solitarios, nómadas y territoriales a la vez (dependiendo del sexo) y se agrupan con otros gatos luego de diversas peleas o de compartir un mismo territorio por un tiempo, determinando por jerarquía quien es el alfa en el grupo para tener prioridad al momento de aparearse con felinas del sexo opuesto. Ahora bien, conociendo un poco su entorno salvaje, podemos concluir que se determina el respeto por jerarquía, pero un gato casero no va a pelear con un humano por territorio ni por respeto, mucho menos por aparearse, incluso se podría decir que al momento en que uno adopta un gato, se le castra parte de su instinto salvaje, pero los detalles de convivencia para este tipo de felinos es a lo que yo le llamo ser \"rey\".</p>\n<p>Como cualquier rey, tiene sus demandas, entre ellas alimento, afecto y por supuesto, un nombre. Desde allí comenzamos nuestra aventura con nuestro gato para tratar de afianzar un vínculo que permita que nos acerque a su entorno y nos vea a su mismo nivel, factores como crianza, juegos, libertad ayudan al gato a sentirse más cómodo pero no necesariamente signifique que depositan su confianza en nosotros.</p>\n<p>¿Cómo sabemos si nuestro gato confía en nosotros?</p>\n<p>Un modo muy fácil de saberlo es con su cola, ¡Sí, su cola!</p>\n</div>\n<hr>\n<center>https://media.giphy.com/media/l0HU0ATQVi86ctF16/giphy.gif</center>\n<center><a href\"https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/805088870857911071/\">Source/Fuente</a></center>\n<hr>\n<div class=\"pull-left\">\n<p>Now that we know some of their reactions, I’ll give a personal opinion of 3 ways of knowing if your cat trusts you.</p>\n<p>1- Sleep with you.  When your cat sleeps with you he shows that he loves you, because he feels safe being with you, loves your corporal smell and your body temperature, they often kneads your body with their front paws to softer it. Cats usually sleep in groups frequently to share warmth and feel safe.</p>\n<p>2- Licks you. Although their tongue is a bit harsh, cats are maniacs when we talk about hygiene, we often see them licking their fur to keep it clean and to keep away fleas/ticks, in this regard, if your cat licks you be happy because he’s worried for you, he want that you stay clean and healthy.</p>\n<p>3- He allows to be grabbed by you or jumps at you to be grabbed. Cats are independent animals and they usually don’t like being hold because they don’t have control of the situation, if your cat lets you hold him he’s showing that he feels safe with you and won’t suffer any damage being hold.</p>\n</div>\n<div class=\"pull-right\">\n<p>Ya conociendo algunas de sus reacciones, les confesare cuales son (en mi opinión) las 3 maneras de saber si tu gato confía en ti</p>\n<p>1- Duerme contigo: cuando tu gato duerme contigo es una de las muestras más grandes de afecto ya que se siente en total seguridad a tu lado y además de ello gusta de tu olor y tu temperatura corporal, usualmente se ve a los gatos también usando sus patas delanteras \"amasando\" nuestro cuerpo para ablandarlo. Dormir en grupo se ve frecuentemente en grupos de gatos para compartir el calor y mantenerse seguros.</p>\n<p>2- Te da lamidas: a pesar de que su lengua es un poco áspera, los gatos son animales que cuidan intensamente su higiene personal, a cada cierto tiempo los vemos lamerse su pelaje para mantenerse libres de pulgas/garrapatas o cualquier otra suciedad, en este sentido, si tu gato te lame es indicativo que se preocupa por ti, quiere que te mantengas siempre limpio y sano.</p>\n<p>3- Se deja cargar o bringa a tu regazo para que lo cargues: los gatos son animales muy independientes y no les gusta mucho que no puedan mantener su independencia sin sus cuatro patas en el piso, si tu gato se deja cargar por ti es un indicativo de que se siente muy seguro y sabe que no recibirá daño alguno.</p>\n</div>\n<hr>\n<center>https://media.giphy.com/media/l49JYuIwQ95QVwS1q/giphy.gif</center>\n<center><a href\"https://www.lds.org/media-library/images/boy-holding-cat-678466?lang=eng\">Source1/fuente1</a><a href\"http://www.abc-oriental-rug.com/sleeping-with-pets.html\">Source2/fuente2</a><a href\"https://www.sparklecat.com/diary/tortie-lickin-good-tuesday\">Source3/fuente3</a></center>\n<hr>\n<div class=\"pull-left\">\n<p>Now we have a slight idea if our cat trusts us or not, but still we haven’t found an answer to our question… Who’s the owner? The answer is and will always be the cat, when our feline friend feels confident; he becomes the new “alpha cat” on our environment, as I mentioned before, we are like them “cats” with some differences, that’s why our cat protects us in his territory and he allows us to join their live sharing it with us.</p>\n<p>I know it’s a little ironic to say that a cat is our owner but think about it, also feel free to laugh thinking all the moments that our cats asked for food, we couldn’t resist their meowing and feed them, they manipulate us in a weird but lovely way to take off our “owner” tittle to be loved by a mysterious, egocentric, curious and very lovely animal.</p>\n</div>\n<div class=\"pull-right\">\n<p>Ya tenemos una idea si nuestro gato confía en nosotros o no, pero aún sigue sin respuesta nuestra interrogante… ¿Quién es el dueño?
