      "body": "What a week it has been for Ripple, XRP and the cryptocurrency market as a whole this week. \n\nBitcoin has broken $10,000 for the first time since January 2018 and there has been a flood of positive comments and announcements from Ripple and others in the industry. \n\nAfter rumours had been circulating online for some time, it was confirmed earlier this week that Ripple had struck a deal to buy a stake in money transfer giant MoneyGram. Alex Holmes, Chairman and CEO of MoneyGram spoke of this deal by stating that “as the payments industry evolves and matures it is imperative that we continue to improve our platform and provide the most effective solution to get funds from point A to point B, through Ripple’s xRapid product we will have the ability to instantly settle funds from US Dollars to destination currencies on a 24/7 basis”. \n\nThose of us in the XRP community are familiar with Ripple partnering with banks and payment providers worldwide however there was only ever evidence of them using xCurrent and therefore not utilising XRP. This allowed for the naysayers to spread FUD and at times quite toxic messages, so this partnership is most definitely different to the others. \n\nNot only are MoneyGram the worlds second largest provider for money transfers, but it is confirmed they will be using XRP to settle transactions globally. \nThe day after news of the MoneyGram deal broke, Facebooked released the whitepaper for their cryptocurrency Libra. Without going into the technical information and specifics of Libra, one thing I believe we can all agree on is that this is positive news for the crypto industry. Facebook have gone from blocking ads promoting cryptocurrencies and initial coin offerings in January 2018 to releasing a whitepaper for their own cryptocurrency in just over 18 months. Facebook has over 2 billion active users and all these people will have access to cryptocurrencies, should their plans for Libra come to fruition. \n\nThere was talk leading up to the release of Libra’s whitepaper about how it would affect XRP and other coins in the market. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that it was a fact that Facebook’s Libra announcement caused more banks to seriously consider using the company’s xCurrent banking payment software and associated XRP cryptocurrency to assist with transferring money across borders. Garlinghouse stated it has been a “call to action” and that “it has absolutely catalysed contract activity”, even joking that he would send a case of champagne to David Marcus, the guy who runs Libra. \n\nIt has most definitely been a milestone week for Ripple and the cryptocurrency space, and one thing that is becoming evident with each day that passes is that blockchain technology is the future, and XRP will play a big part in re-shaping current financial systems.       "body": "Welcome back to another post guys! \r\n\nAs I’m sure you are all aware, there always seems to be talk of a New World Order in the crypto space and it seems to cause a lot of fear in people. What should really worry and scare you are the current systems we have in place – centralised systems all capable of lying and bending the truth as and when they need to.\n \r\nThe world generally tends to get safer as systems and technologies improve over time. People seem to forget that it hasn’t been too long since we had two world wars, slavery, plagues and more. Even going back to the 70’s and 80’s there was a much greater risk of nuclear war. Now, in 2019, are we really concerned that the CIA and other intelligence services can track us a little better? \r\n\nThe New World Order is globalisation and it will shift us to a level playing field. At the moment, we have an American led world order with the dollar being in the middle of everything. Previous financial crashes and the Triffin’s Dilemma have shown that this is not feasible and cannot continue indefinitely. China, Russia and the United Nations have all called for a supra-national currency; a currency that isn’t subject to the Triffin’s Dilemma or controlled by any one entity. \r\n\nThe world is about to change, and the Internet of Value is going to be a big facilitator towards this change.       "body": "Welcome back to another blog post guys! Today we will be discussing why we are so confident in Ripple and XRP.\n\nIt all comes down to the Internet of Value. This is what the Interledger Protocol is going to enable and XRP will be the bridge asset used in this Internet of Value.\n\nWe’ve seen the amount of partnerships Ripple and Hyperledger have formed. They have collectively partnered with over 300 enterprises, from central banks to massive corporations like Apple and Microsoft. \nThe mainstream media are still selling Ripple as a cross-border payments company. Whilst this is the case and Ripple are significantly improving the current payment systems, they are so much more than this. \n\nLet’s go back a few steps and talk about the internet. On the internet we have IP addresses, many of you will be familiar with this. IP stands for Internet Protocol and it is a layer on the internet that means you can send packets of information instantly between different networks. \nIn the Internet of Value, Ripple have created the Interledger Protocol (ILP). This is the same as IP, except it isn’t for sending packets of information, instead it is to allow the instantaneous sending of packets of value. So ILP enables the exchanging of value across multiple networks. \n\nLet’s give you an example. If you owned some Ethereum and you wanted to exchange it for some TRX it isn’t going to allow you to do this transaction without suitable bridge asset. You couldn’t use Bitcoin as this bridge asset as it is too slow for starters, not to mention the scalability issues.       "body": "https://youtu.be/txqmWMGF7PU\n\nHi guys and girls and welcome back to another blog post! \n\nToday we will be sharing an article posted on CCN, where they say that according to Reuters sources, about 12 banks are investing in a blockchain ledger complete with digital cash. While it is unclear which banks are currently participating in the $50 million project, a spokesperson for Barclay’s told the news organisation that the research and development stage is coming to an end. \n\nThe rarely discussed project began in 2015 with little fanfare and supposedly involves several major banks, who aim to use blockchain technology to reduce the cost of settlement and potentially other products. Reuters describes a bank-backed stablecoin with a broader scope than existing stablecoins that would inherently have whatever trust the several banks maintained associated with it. Among the banks mentioned are UBS, Deutsche Bank, Santander, Barclays and HSBC. Reuters was unable to get confirmation from any of the banks as to whether they are still working on the project. \n\nSeveral of these financial institutions have disclosed their own blockchain projects and integration. Santander is particularly notable for its previous use of Ripple, which opened the door to speculation that Ripple were involved in the project. \n\nThe article goes on to throw a lot of FUD XRP’s way, arguing that if that were the case, there would be no need for secrecy and that Ripple may see yet another group of clients slip away. They also say Ripple’s vocal proponents believe that mass adoption of Ripple and XRP by mainstream banks is inevitable and the price of the asset will eventually reflect this, as well as mentioning how damaging JP Morgan deciding to go their own way instead of directly integrating the existing protocols created by Ripple Labs was to the project. \nJP Morgan have a database of transactions, of course they need to create their own blockchain and put this database on their blockchain as well as use their JPM coin on this blockchain. HSBC, Bank of England, and eventually every single financial institution will put their databases on a blockchain. HSBS are hardly going to put their database on a blockchain that the Bank of China have created – but what happens when HSBC wants to send money to the Bank of China? ILP connectors will be in the middle and the transaction will settle using the cheapest, fastest and most liquid bridge asset available; XRP.\n\nStronghold Platform integrated with ILP this week, making Stronghold the first asset-backed USD enables connector on ILP. Instead of focusing on the developments of ILP and the facts, you get articles like the one above throwing a load of misinformation and FUD your way for the simple reason that it creates fear and uncertainty and therefore gets more clicks.  \n\nBy this time next year, we will have regulatory clarity and Ripple and ILP will be the global standard for the transfer of value. If you want to send me Bitcoin, but I want to receive Ethereum in exchange, how is this made possible? How can it be settled in seconds instead of the hours it currently takes for this transaction to settle?\nWe have spoken about interoperability. Interoperability is about various networks being able to interoperate and for it to be possible to send value across these networks. \n\nWe believe everything will be on blockchain in the future. This will allow anything of value to be purchased and exchanged through smart contracts on the blockchain. Whether this is material goods such as your TV and car, equities or commodities, it will all be tradeable on the blockchain. \n\nThis will not be tradeable via Bitcoin, however. This interoperability will all be made possible through platforms like the XRPL, Ethereum Virtual Machine, Codius, Spring, R3 Corda Settler Dapp. These are the platforms that are going to move value and they will bounce off each other as and when they need to scale. \nBitcoin might very well have a place in the future as a store of value and the new generations gold, but it most definitely not going to be used as a bridge asset with its 10 minutes to 12 hour transaction times. This isn’t to say it isn’t a good investment, however it simply isn’t going to facilitate the payments for trillions of dollars’ worth of payments yearly. \n\nWe know XRP is the standard bridge asset that will be used to facilitate the exchange of value on a global scale. \n\nSo, enjoy the ride, enjoy the bullish momentum in the market, go and accumulate and diversify if you feel the need to, but most important be happy and spread the love!       "body": "https://youtu.be/5qMK1aroOSQ\n\nWelcome back to another post guys and girls, today we are going to talking about volume.\r\n\nTo give you a few examples on the amount of volume flowing through various systems globally, there is over $10 trillion moving through the U.S financial system each day. SWIFT facilitates $6 trillion worth of payments each day – amounting to an incredible $1 quadrillion a year in value. The forex markets globally transfer $220 billion per hour. This is an extraordinary amount of volume. \r\n\nWe know Ripple are currently targeting the cross-border payments which is worth about $5 trillion a day. Even if we get this amount of volume being moved through XRP we will see price increases like no one expected, and we also know there is so much more that XRP will be used for on top of this. A lot of people think this will happen overnight, but we all need to be patient and realise the task at hand. They need to get all these banks, institutions and payment providers abandon old systems, ‘flick a switch’ as people like to say and start moving value through blockchain and ILP. \r\n\nIt is going to take years for mass adoption and global maturity, make no mistake about it. This doesn’t mean we will not see price surges before then, it just means that the greatest increase in value will come in 2025 onwards. \r\n\nWe are just waiting on volume to be pushed through XRP. We will see a whole lot of positive news and we will be here to provide you with this, as well as dismiss all the FUD that is thrown XRP’s way, but all that is really important is volume flowing through the system and this will take some time. \r\n\nIt is wise to ignore what the price is doing or not get too caught up in this, or how Bitcoin is rising at a much more rapid rate than XRP. We all know that nothing comes close to XRP and we are all holding what will become the most liquid asset on the planet. \r\n\nAs we always say, make peace with your exit strategies and remain level-headed and focused on the bigger picture.
