My friends were all good for nothing outcast who barely went to classes.\n“JOIN A FELLOWSHIP!” It was my final year now and I can’t recall when last I’d stepped my foot in a church in four years.\n“BE CAREFUL!” Careful? “Mike, please pass me a cigarette.” I dumped the weed and lit up a cigarette. It was too late to be careful now. I was in it, there was no way out for me. It was so late in the night, a little unsafe for a girl like me to be smoking in the midst of boys but did that stop me? Nope, It didn’t.<br/>\n\n>Well, truth be told, it wasn’t always like this. My first day in the university, I made a promise to myself to serve God, and ignore every other side attraction. But my side attraction had come as a tall slender girl with nice curves who I couldn’t believe would even talk to me because I was a pathetic loser then. She’d been so nice to me, helped me with my clearance and offered me a place to stay since my hostel accommodation didn’t pull through. My mom at first was reluctant but she finally agreed so I moved in with her. At first she was normal, she didn’t go to church but she wasn’t much of a bad person. Or maybe she was but I didn’t know. I only noticed how much money she was always having all the time and I grew really curious and interested. I approached her and asked where she got her money but she just laughed and told me to forget it. When my dad died and my mom started having difficulty sending me money, I asked her again. This time, she asked if I really wanted to know and I told her yes, then she said we were going to go out that night and I should put on my best outfit.<br/>\n\n>I know it’s going to sound cliché when I tell you she took me to a sugar daddy but that is not what happened. She took me to a fellow girl’s house and left when I wasn’t observing. The girl she’d left me with looked so pretty, she was the kind of girls you see on the cover of magazines. I felt intimidated by just staring at her and I decided to sit quietly and wait for ‘money to come’. A pretty naïve reasoning, don’t worry, I’m aware.\n“Are you okay?” the girl had asked me\n“Yes, I’m fine.”\n“Things are going to get really scary…” immediately she mentioned that, I started to get really scared. I wasn’t that desperate for money, I mean a meal a day was okay.\n“Relax,” she held my hand, “just relax. Here, this would help,” she brings out a stick of cigarette.\n“I don’t smoke.”\n“This isn’t cigarette, it’s something else, it would make you feel relaxed.”\n“I don’t smoke.”\n“Just. Do. It!” she yelled and goose pimples formed on my bare skin. I started to beg,\n“Please, just let me go, I don’t need the money, I don’t need anything. Just let me go.”\n“It’s too late for that.” \nI can still remember her face, even though she’s long dead. And my tall slender roommate, dead? Not dead but in a mental home. I am going to end up like one of them soon enough and maybe that is why my mother’s voice kept replaying in my ear.\nMaybe I should’ve done something different. \nMaybe I wouldn’t be on my path to doom if I hadn’t been so money crazed.\nMaybe I should have made the right choice.\nBut now, it’s just a little too late. Just like those other two, I was on my path to destruction as well.<br/>\n\n*Whoever you are reading this, don’t be fooled by that pretty girl who seems to be having everything she wants, it isn’t what it seems. It’s not necessarily about communicating with people which I know is the phone main purpose but no, my phone is much better than that. I won’t lie though, communicating with my friends is part of it. I mean times when I feel bored and lonely, I could just pick up the phone and call my family, or just text my bestfriend. However, I have other apps that make me addicted and glued to my cellphone.<br/><br/>\n\n![IMG-20180724-WA0010.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdJFF3gVufcfuURZbybtFoSmj4gRjPoMjPAdaDiN85L2u/IMG-20180724-WA0010.jpg)<br/><br/>\n\nI’d say for starters, my ebook reader. I can just picture myself in a book store staring at all the wonderful books and saying to myself, “I want this!” seeing another collection and realizing, “oh, this is what I want.” And then again, on another shelf, “Gosh, that’s my favorite writer, I have to get it!” and then I pack all these books but at the end I realize I don’t have enough money so I painstakingly drop one of the books or if I’m really broke like I am all the time, drop all and take one. Well, with my phone I can have thousands of books on my phone without getting humiliated by the cashier. Also the pain of buying new books and adding to your pile of unread books is slightly better cause it isn’t exactly physical, just there.<br/><br/>\n\n\n\nAlso, there’s this app Pinterest that I’m completely hooked on. Jeez, it has everything! And I mean, EVERYTHING! Dresses, shoes, bags, ideas for color combination which I was really bad at but better now thanks to Pinterest, recipes, one of my favorite to do things; DIYs, cartoons, books, movies, EVERYTHING! When I’m on Pinterest, I spend hours just browsing round pictures of incredible things.<br/><br/>\n\nBeing the kind of amazing guy I am, I love my cellphone because I can personalize it anytime I want. I could put colorful wallpapers, colorful themes and I could change them anytime I want, so that anytime someone picks up my phone, the person gets hooked and impressed.<br/><br/>\n\nCould I possibly say more? Yeah! podcasts! I don’t think it is possible for me to live without podcasts. They are my soul and they are just awesome! Basically, a person that doesn’t listen to podcast is the most canal person I’ve ever met. No offence though. Actually, take offence so that could challenge you to download a podcast app.<br/><br/>\n\nThere’s more! We’ve got We Heart It which is just as cool as Pinterest but NOT Pinterest. We Heart It is good for colorful pictures of people and things and celebrities and people and cute things. It’s…drumroll please… Tumblr! Awesome app! Can’t go into it right now. But it’s good, really good.\nI’m not much of a gamer but I have games I play to while away time. There’s Candy Crush, Temple Run, Subway Surf, you name it. Girls dress up games, some strategic games, and many others. How awesome is it that I can play them all on my cellphone when I’m not using my ebook reader, or Pinteresting.<br/><br/>\n\nAs a writer, my cellphone plays an important role too. There are apps like Wattpad I join to post my writing, have comments and read other’s. other writing apps too that instead of booting my laptop or carrying a pen and paper and finding a solid background to lay it, I can just pick up my phone and start to write. Awesome right?\nSo that’s it. I basically wouldn’t be where I am today without my cellphone. And my podcast!<br/><br/>\n\n\n\n<h1>Thanks For  Reading and don't forget to upvote......😉</h1>",
