| body |

Bless <del>My</del><del> </del>Our Soul s

The last few days, I have been deep in thought. That may not be very unusual for me but it seems my thoughts have brought deeper concerns as to my existence and purpose. One of the reasons for this train of thought has to do with my recent health issues. About this time last year, I was diagnosed with having cancer. This is my second time as I fought cancer about 12 years ago. Now, I have to do it again. A year later, just a few weeks ago, I was told I was cancer free. I have fought the good fight twice, and I have won.

Now I cannot help thinking about my existence now and forever. I know many people who have experienced similar life changing events tend to become more religious. There is nothing wrong with that as it gives them a sense of being. As for me, religion is not the answer. I do, however, believe that people have souls and that the life here is not the only life instore for us all. I do not have the answers and I do not believe any religion has the answer either. I do believe that the answer maybe somewhat close to the teachings of most religions and not in any particular one.

But religion is not what I wanted to talk about. I do believe we have a soul, or a spirit, that continues after our bodies die off. I do not know what is to come but I believe we continue on and perhaps, take on a life form of some sort. I also believe that our behavior in this life, has an effect on our next life. I offer no proof and I do not expect anyone to agree, but I am sure some will.

Western religions tend to believe that this life is it and our souls go to heaven if God is pleased and are punished if he is not. Many eastern religions lean toward reincarnation that rewards the level and quality of life if we lived the last one right. If we failed to live right, we regress to a low level or quality in our next life. I think our soul, or our life force, in a none material form, is recycled. I tend to think that how we behave and live this current life has an effect on the next. Again, I offer no proof.

However, it seems to me, life is not just materialistic in form but also in an energy form. By that I mean, a living, breathing creature, the likes of what we see on earth, is material in form whereas energy, a force if you will, is not in a material form. Our souls, or our spirit, is in an energy form. But life can also be in an inanimate object, such as a rock. As I see it, the very atoms that make up the rock have electrons in constant movement. It seems to me that this is a life form in and of itself. So how do I relate this to my soul? I can only tell you how I feel and not how it is. This is because I do not know exactly how it is.

Perhaps after my time here on earth, I will be able to know and understand more and maybe I will be able to retain that level of understanding when my next material form of life become mine. With that in mind, I wonder why I do not remember before my life here. Was it because my form of life did not have the ability to remember? Who knows, maybe I was a rock, or a gnat with no brain big enough to remember. Or does the mind not convey to the soul? I hear some people say they remember their past life. Maybe they do. I know I do not.

I can’t say for sure, but I do feel that I will be better off spiritually in my next form of life. I have been a good person overall, here on earth. Not perfect for sure, but I have tried to be good and I have asked for forgiveness when I faulter. I am comfortable with who I am. I have survived cancer now twice, but I was not afraid before or now of dying. However, I am afraid of the process. Death is coming, no one is willing to go, but we all know it will happen. It is the cycle and is good in its own way. Emotionally, the living will grieve. The dying fight to survive. I believe we all find peace after death. Your soul lives on. Thus, we do to. God bless our souls.

McDowell

Think loud if you must, but at least think.

P.S. Comments are welcome.

|

| body |

A Black Cat Mystery (A True Story)

I would like to tell you a short story about a cat I had years ago. He had shiny black fur, no other color but black. His eyes were a sparkling bright yellow. His name was Midnight.

It was many years ago, when I had bought a small old house in the woods north of Houston, Texas. I was living in an apartment at the time and looking forward to moving further out into the country. My daughter loved cats and my neighbor had a young black cat that they could not keep named Midnight. I took the cat but had no place to keep him until the house purchase was finalized. It was expected to be late November before I could move in. My mother offered to keep him until then so I drove south for the hour-long trip to her home and delivered Midnight. My mother loved cats and Midnight was a very sweet young male and he made himself right at home.

It was in the month of October and Halloween was approaching, but still two weeks away. One town over from where my mother lived a witch convention was held every year at the time of Halloween. Because of this event, the locals knew that back cats were at risk of being taken and usually lost to the owners for good. No one really knew the fate of the cats except those who took them. My mother was quite concerned and she kept a close eye on him during this time. Those of you who know cats understand the limits of control one has on them. They tend to be less obedient to their owners than dogs, as an example. Midnight was an inside/outside cat so he came and went day and night.

As it was, Mom did the best she could, trying to keep him in at night. About a week before Halloween, my mother let him out in the backyard with the intention of bringing him back in before she turned in for the night. The backyard was surrounded by a tall fence, which had little effect on a cat’s roaming habits. A little later, while hoping Midnight was still in the backyard, Mom called for him with no luck, so she went out looking and could not find a trace. At this point, she could do nothing but hope he would be safe on this particular night.

Sometime in the early hours, long before dawn, my sister was awakened by car’s headlight that shown through her bedroom window. This was unusual, due to little or no traffic at the house. but if someone pulled in the driveway, with high beam lights on, her bedroom lit up. Concerned, she got up and peaked out the window. Due to the car’s light shining in her eyes, my sister could not see details, just dark shadows. What she saw alarmed her.

She knew Midnight was outside, so when she saw a shadow of a person walk into the front yard, from the car, and pick up something that resembled a cat, she felt chills of dread, up and down her spine. The shadowy figure turned and went to the car and the vehicle backed out onto the street and drove off. My sister ran to the front door and went to look for Midnight. She did not find him. The following day brought no sign of my cat and my Mother and sister both had heavy hearts. They did not tell me about this. They both hoped it was not true and that somehow, Midnight would come home and safe.

Halloween came and went with no sign of Midnight and my Mom dreaded the day when she would have to tell me. What was worse, she was saddened by the menacing thoughts of Midnight’s fate. Halloween came and went with no Midnight and I still, did not know.

A week after Halloween, and still a week away from gaining access to my country house, all was quiet at my Mom’s home. My sister was again awakened at the early hours of the morning by a car, again pulling into the driveway and lighting up her bedroom. She jumped out of bed as soon as she realized a car was there and ran to the window. As before, she only could see shadows and again, the shadow of a person walking in the front yard, but this time, the shadow released a dark figure of a cat. Instantly, with her heart in her throat, she made her way to the front door and opened it just in time to see the car drive off. My sister called “Midnight, come her boy!” Before she could call again, Midnight ran up to her purring with delight. She was stunned! He is back. She woke my Mother and they both showered Midnight with love. Neither of them slept well that night, even though they both felt a huge relief. The next day, I got a call. Now I knew the whole story.

Midnight lived his days free to roam and hunt at my small little home in the woods. He lived a very good life and made my daughter very happy. And each year, as Halloween came around, I would gaze into his bright yellow eyes and wonder. What was it this cat had seen? I never knew but I always enjoyed Midnight looking back at me, with the same wonder in his eyes.

McDowell

Think loudly if you must, but at least think!

P.S. As stated above, this is a true story with as much accuracy as I could portray. I do not intend, in any way, to discredit the witches, and/or warlocks, that have their gatherings. Nor do I make judgement on them and their perceived involvement in this story. I do not partake in their activities and thus know little about them. Coincident or not, I know not. But what happened to Midnight was only known to him and it did not seem to have any known effect.

|

But what happened to Midnight was only known to him and it did not seem to have any known effect.
\n
",

|

But what happened to Midnight was only known to him and it did not seem to have any known effect.

|

|

But what happened to Midnight was only known to him and it did not seem to have any known effect.

|

| body | Thoughtful musings. Nowadays we are focusing too much on reality and of course science. In some languages, like German or Russian there are more words for reality. In German, for example, Realität and Wirklichkeit. The second term is bigger and more complex. It is relative. It is what you let yourself become aware of. Therefore, it is subjective. Realität, on the other hand, refers to those things that have been agreed with others that they really are. |

| body |

There are those who do not believe in aliens and that man is alone in the universe. There are those who believe in aliens and that man is not alone in the universe. And then there are those who do not know what to believe. What you believe in, is strictly an individual and personal matter. You can share, or not. That is up to you.

I have many friends who think that aliens are like all the other “fairy tales” or mystic stories that are just fantasy, told as entertainment. They do not believe in other dimensions, such as are told in the “fairy tales”. An example would be the story of an Irish man who was walking down a wooded path on his way home after an evening of drinking. The man was surprised to see, what he describes as the mythical Fairy, a winged female type looking creature. He tells how the Fairy took him through an opening, or doorway, that appeared on the side of the path and into an unseen world, or dimension, that was not like anything he knew of on earth. While there, he saw many fascinating things and beings that were previously unknown to him. After what seemed like just a few minutes, he was led back through the opening, that suddenly appeared, placing him back in his place and time, on the path from which he was originally when he was walking towards his home. Amazed and somewhat confused, the man continued on his way homeward. The first thing he notice that had change about his journey home was that he was very exhausted, hungry and thirsty. When he finally made it home, his family was surprised and over joyed with his return. As they greeted him, they wanted to know where he had been for so long. It seems, he had been missing for days. What felt to him to be only a few minutes, off the path with the fairy, was in fact days to everyone else. Real or just fantasy?

There are many stories of strange meetings between man and other worldly beings that defy our basic knowledge and understanding of our world. These stories can be found in almost every country. They are told by all peoples around the world and throughout history. Reality to us is not what is portrayed in these stories. Thus it becomes easy to see why so many people believe that these types of stories are just that, stories from a vivid imagination.

I was raised in a very religious family and was told about God, angles, demons and other creators that were not mortal or visible in our world, as we know it. Just the same, they are very much so like mystical creatures. I was also told that all other stories about other “gods” or mystical creatures were untrue. However, it occurred to me, that if I, or anyone for that matter, could believe in “divine” creatures as presented in one’s religion, good or evil, why would it be so hard to believe in other types of “mythical” creatures? Then my thoughts brought me to questioning immortality and divinity in and of itself. I know I am not the only one with questions, nor the first. But these questions haunt me and have done so for a very long time. I longed for proof. Religion began to present itself with more questions than answers and the proof presented in religious teachings depended more on “faith” rather than proof. Not to discount religion, “faith” is a required thing for most religions and the benefits it brings to the individual, as well as society, as a whole, cannot be overlooked.

Through the years, I have come to conclude, that there is more to our world than meets the eye, as the saying goes. The more I learn about the world, the solar system and our universe, the more I realize that I know and understand so little. The questions continue to increase far faster and in more profound ways than the answers do. My mind can only be focused on so little, compared to what is out there. I can simply focus on such a small amount. I must accept that some topics cannot occupy my time and others can. One such topic that does occupy my interest is “Aliens”.

For those who do not believe, or do not want to believe, that is ok with me. I do understand that the subject is not for all. As for myself, I find it impossible to ignore the overwhelming evidence that there are beings who have and are visiting our planet. Beings who are not originally from this planet. Religions of the world are in fact very impressive clues, by themselves. After all, almost all religions tell of god, or the gods, coming down from the heavens to man, and that they came from other than earth. For starters, that makes them aliens, divine or not. Another massive clue would be the Universe itself. There are billions upon billions of galaxies, each with billions upon billions of stars and solar systems which contain many planets each. The odds of our earth, in our solar system, being the only one with life, yet alone, intelligent life, seems impossible. I find it more likely that, we are the continuation, or result of, life from other planets and that we are not alone. Even the religions of the world tell of how life was created by a god here on earth, as was man. Believe what you will, but it would appear that life, and/or intelligent life, is not limited to earth nor intelligence limited to just man. In addition, further evidence can be found through out history in the form of art, writings, artifacts, cultures all around the world. If you want to see, it is not hidden, you just have to look with an open mind. The clues are there.

An example of some “in your face” clues are the massive structures found all over the world that were built thousands of years ago. We are taught that man used primitive tools to make, move and construct massive structures. We are told they did this in a way and in a time frame that we cannot duplicate today. Some structures we cannot build today despite our modern tools and heavy moving equipment. And yet, we are to believe primitive man did this with inferior hand tools and the sweat of their brow. The obvious clue is that primitive man could not build those fantastic buildings with their methods and tools. Someone or something other than primitive man had a hand in the construction. Aliens? Gods? Mythical creatures? Would aliens and/or s be the same as mythical creatures? After all, God is real in one’s religion where as a god in another religion would be considered a myth. Some believe that aliens are a myth. It depends on your point of view and beliefs.

As for myself, I do not have a definitive answer. But I see a lot of evidence that indicates there are more dimensions than we can see or understand and that the one we live in, is not the only one. I also see evidence that there are beings that are not divine here on earth that are not from here. Some in our dimension and some not. I am convinced that man is not the most intelligent life form here on earth. I a also convinced that there is life outside our solar system. I may not have the definitive proof required by most, but I think my beliefs are a very good educated guess. You could say I have “faith”.

Well, for now, that is my thoughts on Aliens. Yours maybe different. After all, we are all individuals with our own way of looking at the things around us. I thank you for reading my posted thoughts. If you have comments, feel free to post them.

McDowell, 11/02/2018

Think loudly if you must, but at least think!

|

| body | McDowell here. I live in Texas and couldn't be happier about that. We have the most unique state in the U.S. and we are overly proud of it. When it comes to geography, we have it all...a coast line, mountains, deserts. open prairies and thick forests. Most Texans are very proud of our state and actually will tell everyone we meet. We are a mixture of a lot of different cultures of which shows up in about four food type. Texmex food is a mixture of Mexican cuisine that left Mexico a long time ago. It is not like any other and type of Mexican food found in any state. If you leave Texas, the Texmex quality deteriorates rapidly. This style of cuisine can be found all over Texas. In addition, central Texas has some very good German cuisine due to the large German immigrants, who, by the way, brings some very good beer and sausage. To the east, the Cajun influence it very strong and tasty too! Or should I say spicy! But the best is the BBQ. Only thing that come close to our BBQ is Texmex....LOL. Ok, ok, ok....enough...you get the point. I am a proud Texan. |

| body | Just a quick though about Money. Money is the "a medium of exchange" as stated by Wikipedia. But how well do we know this "medium of exchange"? We all know money, don't we? Of course, we do! We use it every day. We go to work to earn it. We bring our paychecks home and pay our bills. We spend it on entertainment. We borrow it so we can buy things, before we have the money, and we pay it back later. Sometimes we loan money to friends or neighbors and we get upset when it's not paid back. Sometimes we donate money to the needy or to our favorite charity. Everyone knows there are many businesses that deal with money as their products. There are banks and investment companies that we conduct our personal and occupation businesses almost every day. We use bank cards and debit cards for almost all our purchases. We see this as money, not cash, but money just the same. And now there is crypto currency. It is the newest thing in money. A few years ago, credit card came into being and it was the new form of money. Later debit cards became the norm. Cash is not used as often as before. Digital currency is everywhere. But crypto currency puts a new twist on the money concept. Yes it is a digital form much like debit cards. What is unique is that crypto currency is not controlled by governments and is openly controlled by the people. Ok, this is something new for most people. Lets take a quick overview. Originally, the barter system was all we had. Then came money, the medium for trade. It came in many forms before the use of gold and silver. As civilization grew, paper money came into use and was backed by gold. This form was very stable because it was backed by a solid form of currency. That is that each paper note was worth a give amount of gold and or silver. Today, paper money and digital money, in the form of credit cards and debit cards, are not backed by gold and silver and thus are very unstable. Known as fiat currency, governments control and manipulate the value of fiat money. This manipulation, or abuse, has caused the fiat form of paper and digital money to deteriorate in value and stability. Countries around the world have and will continue to have economic collapses due the nature of governmental abuse. No country is immune to this where fiat currency is used. Now a new change is coming. Just like before, crypto currency is going to take over. Unlike original money, before fiat currency, gold and silver do not back crypto currency. Unlike fiat money, governments cannot control or manipulate crypto currency. Good solid crypto has a limit to the amount created and is backed by solid business projects. A new concept. There is much to learn about this type of currency of which I am not going to cover here and now. However, I would like to point out that crypto currency is here to stay and will most likely take over when the fiat system collapses. I dare say, the collapse of fiat money and its world wide economy is going to collapse sooner that later. For now, I recommend everybody learn what you can about money, fiat and crypto currency. I will end with this one question. Do we really know money? If you do, you are ahead of the game. If you do not, don't delay learning. Your financial stability depends on it. Take care my friends. Now a new change is coming.\n\nJust like before, crypto currency is going to take over. \n\nFor now, I recommend everybody learn what you can about money, fiat and crypto currency. I will end with this one question. Do we really know money? If you do, you are ahead of the game. If you do not, don't delay learning. Your financial stability depends on it. \n\nTake care my friends.\nMcDowell",
