On Friday it was Australia Day, the day of celebration for some, and anger for others. People want Australia Day moved to another day or banned all together because of what we're supposedly celebrating. \n\nI'm not Australian but I still celebrate it as the country it's become. Although, people have other views on the day. They believe we're celebrating the Aboriginals/ Indigenous people losing their land to the British ect. But I don't think it's like that at all. What would Australia be like today if the British hadn't found it? I understand there could've been other ways of going about it but we can't changed what happened. \n\nAnyways my tangent is over!! \n\nAfter celebrating Friday night, and drinking way too much that I was literally dying the next day. I then had the fun task of cleaning up. The party was at my ex's place and one of his mates stayed over. Basically, I thought I was going to throw up the whole time I was cleaning. Not to mention it was above 30 degrees (C).\n\nI cleaned, washed dishes, I did everything while my ex was at work and his mate just sat on the couch and didn't bother offering to help. It just goes to show that some people will enjoy the party but not have the decency to help afterwards. It kind of pissed me off because he wasn't hungover he was just simply lazy. \n\nAfter I cleaned I decided to go home and leave him by himself for the rest of the day. I went out to dinner at this place called 'Grilld' which is honestly my favourite restaurant/fast food. Then I went to the cinema to see the new Liam Neeson movie 'The Commuter.' He's asked me out a few times and now I've finally said yes. He wants to go for coffee next week and then to the cinema (to see a horror movie, of course) the week after. I'm hoping he's as nice in person as he is online. I've found the only way to meet people nowadays is online! I'm so nervous because as you all know I'm very insecure. I broke up with my ex only about a month ago so I'm worried it's too soon? But I'm just seeing where things go, I'm not actively searching for a new relationship.\n\nOn Thursday I learnt I didn't get this job I really wanted. I recently got a part time job but really need a full time one. This job was at a place I used to work at and they said I killed the interview but at the end of the day it comes down to experience. The other girls who interviewed just had more experience than I had. So I guess that lead to me drinking way too much on Friday night!\n \nIt's annoying that all people want is experience and yet no one will give it to you. \n\nShe said to me:\n'I know this is what you want to do as a career.' That's when I thought to myself; no, I didn't want to do that job forever at all. I want to write, that's the only thing that brings me happiness and makes me WANT to work. That job would've just given me funds so I can support myself while I continue to further my writing, which is my absolute dream.       "body": "Anyone else stuck? I always played stuck in the mud when I was younger and in that game to get out of the mud another player would have to help you. That game has followed me into adulthood but unfortunately for me, there's no one here to help get me out of the mud. In life, you have to do these things yourself. There are a lucky few who get help from others but for majority of people we have to find a way ourselves. You can say it's unfair but it is what it is. So right now I'm stuck and I'm struggling to find ways to get myself out of the 'mud.' Anyone have any tips? What do I want to do with life? Can I have a job I actually enjoy or do I need to settle for something less?\n\n#\n\nI always wanted to be a writer. There's something about creating my own world and getting lost in it for hours. It's hard to describe the feeling but the word I would use is peaceful. When I write I leave the dangers of the real world behind, the stress, the struggle, it's all gone for a few hours. I haven't written in a very long time and that's due to me not believing in myself. I don't believe I'm a good enough writer or that anyone would enjoy my work. But I've come to the realisation that I don't write for other people, I write for myself. When you find something you enjoy you're not doing it to please other people, you're doing it for your own happiness. Writing is an escape and hopefully soon I can share more of my creative writing with you all. As I said, it's been a while. I'm going to be rusty for the next couple of posts so please bear with me. Now take another. \n\n#\n\nThe world today is unrecognizable. It's crazy how much things have changed in the past year. Things we all took for granted now seem so far from reach. It feels as if nothing is going right and like everyone else in the world, I can't wait for 'normal' to return.\n\n#\n\nMy 2020 hasn't been the best. I can't say this year is one I want to remember. From bushfires to breakups and pandemics, I can't wait for 2021.  I've been dreaming of going hiking and camping, to just escape. There's nothing I want more than to hike. There's something about listening to the trees in the wind, the birds singing in the distance, and the soft sound of dirt below my feet that really relaxes me. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to hike since March. Fingers crossed I can go again before the end of the year. I'd love to go camping over New Year but that seems like a distant dream now. \n\n#\n\nHas anyone been camping alone? It's all I want to do and since all of my friends are more city people I've decided to just go alone (when I'm allowed to). I live in Victoria, Australia so I'm really lucky that I have so many amazing camping/hiking spots around me. I wouldn't say I'm an experienced hiker but practise makes perfect! It really annoys me how dangerous it is to hike alone. Forget about the dangers of getting lost for a minute, I'm talking about the dangers of meeting other people while hiking alone. Why does this have to be a thing? Why can't people not set out with the intention to harm others? It really frustrates me! But on another note I'm hoping to explore the Blue Mountains in NSW as soon as possible, if you haven't seen any pictures or have no idea what I'm talking about then please google it. It's truly breathtaking.\n\n#\n\nOkay that's my little rant over. NO, before you start to worry, I don't have COVID19 (I've been tested 3 times as I work in Healthcare!) I've been experiencing headaches on the right side of my head and a high temperature of over 37.5C. I've been treated for a sinus infection but unfortunately, the headaches and fever are still there. This is affecting my work life as I'm unable to work with a temperature of over 37.5c. My boss has had a chat with me and has mentioned how they're unable to keep me on if I'm going to have continuous time off with no idea what's wrong with me. I really don't like my job anyway but at a time like this I figured it's important to keep it - plus I'm drowning in debt. Of course, everyone should know by now my dream is to become a writer. Although the last couple of years I've fallen off the rails a little. \n\n# \n\nI know everyone is doing their best in this crazy time. Something like this has never happened before (in my lifetime) and we're all learning how to cope in different ways. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is purely my body's way of reacting to this awful situation or if I genuinely have some kind of underlying condition. I'm concerned and so is everyone around me but I've got no idea what to do. I'm currently in the process of trying to see a specialist but I'm not having much luck obtaining an appointment. My boss wants me to speed things up and I'm feeling really pressured to do so but at the same time, I'm doing everything I can. I'm going stir crazy sitting at home and would actually like to be back at work. \n\n#\n\nIf you've experienced anything similar please let me know. \nAlso how are you all going?
