So how many kilometers can the headlights of such a huge ship see ahead???🤔\n-The answer is that nothing can be seen clearly even \"2 feet\" ahead.\nActually, the navigation lights of ships are a little different. These lights are not used for seeing ahead. Rather, they are given so that other ships can see the lights. Each light has a different meaning. Usually, large commercial ships display two headlights (white) on two masts (poles) in front and behind during navigation at night. These are very high. In addition, a green light is lit on the right side of the ship, a red light on the left and a white light at the very back. The rule is that the headlights should be at least 11 km. and the side lights should be at least 5.5 km.  They should be clearly visible from a distance. But in reality they can be seen from much further away. However, they do not emit light. By looking at these lights, you can understand the \"position\" of the ship, meaning whether it is on the right or left side or which direction the ship is facing, etc. However, when the ship is \"anchored\", all the lights on the deck of the ship are kept on. That is why ships at anchor look very bright. So you can understand that the lights of the ship are not used for seeing ahead.
