| body | Thank you so much for sharing this amazing post with us! Have you heard about Partiko? It’s a really convenient mobile app for Steem! With Partiko, you can easily see what’s going on in the Steem community, make posts and comments (no beneficiary cut forever!), and always stayed connected with your followers via push notification! Partiko also rewards you with Partiko Points (3000 Partiko Point bonus when you first use it!), and Partiko Points can be converted into Steem tokens. You can earn Partiko Points easily by making posts and comments using Partiko. We also noticed that your Steem Power is low. We will be very happy to delegate 15 Steem Power to you once you have made a post using Partiko! With more Steem Power, you can make more posts and comments, and earn more rewards! If that all sounds interesting, you can: - Download Partiko Android at [Google Play](http://bit.ly/2SRFIta) - Or Download Partiko iOS on the [App Store](https://apple.co/2PcXkSd) Thank you so much for reading this message! |

| title | My Facebook jail event... memes :) |
| body | Let me explain... I'm someone who has never watched television, but instead use the time to research history. I'm a grandmother of a five year old that has just found out about video games and I haven't looked for a video game since my first round of parenting. I had no clue what Mind Craft actually was until about 6 months ago, so when I saw a meme about all of the above I LAUGHED and saved the meme and shared it on my page! BIG mistake! Facebook didn't think it was funny = 24 hour ban for a violation! What exactly did it violate? Some sense of humor clause on the internet? ![FB_IMG_1545670104844[1].jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWM3cg1u1zPJ3EFwc29kZ5jZERLkFWBBqqWsqDGqDKf8Q/FB_IMG_1545670104844[1].jpg) |

| title | New Beginnings because of Tartaria and mud floods. Lovin' it! |
| body | 2018 has been a rough year A lot has happened. A lot of it hurtful both physically and mentally, but it didn't kill me so I must carry on! After being unemployed for months, because I simply couldn't take the mental beat down that comes with office politics any longer. With the bills falling behind I decided to jump in my car and try Uber. I love it!!! I have met so many wonderful and interesting people in my car. Geologist that I discussed mud flood theory with, a Johns Hopkins nurse that took my contact information so that I can share my knowledge of home remedies and a couple of others that have joined me on Facebook. I have newly discovered Tartaria and mud flood theory and I have to say that I am completely amazed!!! I have discussed with my friends starting a Youtube channel "Baltimore Mud Flood" and page to start documenting finds around Baltimore City. It is so exciting that I have already met another Baltimore Mud Flooders to take on my adventures! That was all that I needed for Christmas! I am so looking forward to a bright and happy 2019!!! I wish you all the best in the upcoming year and can't wait to share my finds with everyone |

| title | My death in death care - the conclusion! |
| body | After starting as a commissioned sales person and learning how to do every job through each position that I held in the company I found out that the truth can take you from Director to Unemployed in no time. However, I lived life and took my skills to another career that didn't pan out so well and went into seclusion, hiding from everyone. I would download hours worth of content to keep my mind busy while I cleaned businesses alone at night. Then the call came a return back to cemetery industry and now the opportunity to take an open position with the most prestigious in the industry. A proud moment in my death care career! The position wasn't much, the Receptionist and the pay almost equal to what I was making with a promise of an increase if I proved myself worthy in the first 90 days of my employment, a bonus check in December, and a yearly increase along with everyone else in January... So check - October, December, January - Got it! Not a bad deal!!! So my employment begins... My first day I was taken around and introduced to everyone. They were so warm and welcoming, friendly and offering assistance in anyway I needed to get started. Behind my back questioning why I want to work here with the experience that I have, but putting a smile on their face and wishing me well. My boss began giving me her opinion of everyone in the building, her employees safe from any attempt at saying they would do anything wrong. Observation #1 - My Supervisor is Two Faced and talks about other people Mental Note - Don't trust her! The time continued on, I was given increasing work daily and assisting the sales department however I could, I was the Receptionist, that was part of my job. However, there was a noticeable difference in my boss' attitude towards me. Her morning bounce in the office with a cheerful smile on her face was now a mug barely audible grunt as she said Good Morning as snide as possible when she quickly rushed past. ***Thought about insert a picture of her here, but that would be so wrong of me*** I didn't understand, I was doing everything that she had given me to do. I was answering the phones on one ring as required, helping families at the front desk, assisting sales with how the calls are assigned and doing some reports for the General Manager. October came and I get called into the General Manager's office for my 90 day review. The GM sitting at her desk loves the fact that I am assisting sales with calls and her with reports. She loves the work that I do and knows my experience because we worked previously for the same corporation and she too was given her termination papers after years of loyal service to the company. My boss seated beside, but behind her with an evil sense to the smile that she was producing. They went over all of the basics and how great I was doing and of course the things that I need to improve on. Anyone that has been in management knows you can't tell someone they are perfect, because then they won't look to improve, but I had notices a pattern of things I "need to improve" where tasks that my boss gave me compliments on previous to this discussion. A thank you and you are now a legit full time employee, but no mention of the promised increase. Now remembering Observation #1, I looked directly at my boss and said thank you and proceeded back to my desk to go back to work. At lunchtime, the Human Resources Representative passed me on her way out to lunch and stop to tell me that if I ever need to talk I could come to her anytime. It was like she was reading my mind and that she could sense that there was something wrong. I thanked her and let her continue on with her lunch. However, after lunch I walked into the GM's office where the HR Rep was and closed the door and told them about the promise of the increase that I was told about during my interview. Neither of them seemed surprised at the fact that something like that might have been said, but informed me that they don't do 90 day increases. However, in this case they would make and exception as long as it was kept between the three of us and not discussed with my Supervisor - DEAL!! Observation #2 - My boss is Shady Mental note - This is a business only relationship, no further details, totally not someone to trust EVER! The staff consisted of ME, the receptionist! the down to Earth Burial Coordinator, but best friend of the boss. She has been employed there for almost 30 years after my boss picked her up from the grocery store down the street, where they meet because she was the cashier. The contract processor, a small little Roman Catholic woman with a one track mind that derails often by the slightest sound. She has been employed there also for almost 30 years, but doesn't know how to use any Microsoft products. I created billing coupons on an Excel spreadsheet that she would return to me to change a digit, because she didn't know how to make changes. I've never seem anything like it!!! The Memorial Clerk and Accounts Payable, is as slow as a Sloth and celebrated 32 years old being there this month. Still doesn't understand how to do most things and harasses the Representatives of our manufacturers to death, but it's okay "That's just how she is!" When I asked why she was calling back customers that were offering to make immediate payments I was just told that "they didn't know it was happening" and I never brought it up again. One of my jobs was double checking her work for spelling and emblem errors, this is what it was like doing that https://youtu.be/0SmyATAYsNs Sitting in the administration area is also the Media / Graphics employee, a really nice young girl with a lot of phobias and a Pet Loss Specialist that doesn't know anything about the job that she "specializes" in and has be shown how to write the contract while she "steps out for a moment" on the customer. It's actually pretty pathetic the things that I witnessed. In January I was allowed to take my "First" burial call in that happened to come from the owner's son, who is a local funeral director. The call went great, not like it's the first time that we have had this conversation, I've done this at many other places in the past. Checked the times, verified the mausoleum would be clear before the next service. All well and good and done. A coworker already pulled the file and said that she would order the casket. I asked to see the file, because I'm used to working with hard copies of paperwork, not digital print outs and asked the Memorial Clerk "Do I write on this line to release the marker from storage?" She took the paperwork and had to recheck everything that I had done and then pointed to the service that was an hour later in the mausoleum. She said "Services in the chapel are scheduled an hour apart!!" I replied, "They are, this one is at 10 and will be at the site at 10:45 and that one is scheduled to arrive at 11... 10 to 11 is an hour?" She said that she was going to call the Funeral Director and may have to change the time and then I probably said the worst thing.... "Do you know that this isn't my first rodeo with taking a burial call." Let the hate begin!!! Let that simmer for the weekend and Monday morning walk into work. Noticeably early my boss has the two that were in the office with me on lockdown in her office discussing the events of Friday. At that time the HR Rep and the GM were standing in front of my office and I informed them that she had them in their getting their story, but not hearing mine. The morning went on, the morning sales meeting was over and my boss steps in my area with her famous words "I'M CONFUSED! We schedule services an hour apart at the Chapel" and not to incite further argument or start another war, with my head down I simply said "Okay" while continuing to delete my email. She asked me to repeat what I said and I lifted my head a couple inches to repeat the word "Okay." In an instant she became angry, threw the appointment sheet down on the desk and demanded that I see her in her office, RIGHT NOW! Shaking my head, because I knew that it was coming, I got up and watched my little boss do her angry stomp past all of her employee/friends to make it look good. She kicked the doorstop excepting the door to close, but remained open against the wall and ask I reached behind me trying to contain the smile as I reached to close it she abruptly says "close that door" so I close it and quietly say "I got it." I watched her round, short body pace back and forth like a mad woman as she told me that I wasn't going to use that kind of tone with her. I watched her pace, throw paperwork on her chair, slam her hand on her desk and I finally with a straight face asked "Are we done here?" Before the confusion that was in her eyes could leak out of her mouth I continued, "We both know what this was already predetermined to happen today after you sat with those two, but didn't get my version of the story, so since this that is going on was already planned to happen, I'm done with it." and a quietly walked back to my desk and continued on with my office day. Observation #3 - Billy Bad Ass Syndrome Mental Note - We have ourselves a control freak here November came and we made National headlines for participating in an event, that thank God for the truth in alternative media the real story got out. http://baltimorebeat.com/2017/12/11/grave-concerns-will-detective-suiters-death-bring-commissioner-davis/ I love independent research! During the Gray event I was down on North Avenue taking tours of where the police blocked those kids from getting on their buses to go home. I walked the alleys where I watched on video police throwing bricks at the people and I stood on the corner of Penn / North seeing that the neighborhood spray painted on the side of the CVS that the media was lying - they too were trying to tell people, but no one listened. Now I have a police detective gunned down the night before he was supposed to testify against other officer that were caught robbing people in the street, admittedly killing the father of another officer during one of their failed robbery attempts. This crew actually made the Baltimore court system sound like a new season of The Wire playing out for everyone to listen. I don't watch the tells-lies-in-vision, so my news source are real people, reporting real things and when it's a local story I will go see for myself before believing anyone. However, the interest in the story was a local news story sent to me in a text message showing me the face of the neighborhood elementary school bully This has all came full circle and now I am at work and they are telling me when the funeral is going to be, but my research is telling me that his body is being cremated and won't even be released by the scheduled date. Observation #4 - It may not be just the boss, maybe the whole place is shady Mental note - Trust no one! My life continued on - working one day in the office with no heat, working in the summer with the air on 50, NO day is ever a "good" day to take off. We had a historic wind storm come through and blow off the corner of the building. I took a picture of it while I was out evacuating my car from the parking lot and posted it on Facebook. On my way in a friend from Puerto Rico joked and I sarcastically replied "No they evacuated the cars from the parking lot, but not the people from the building - back to work now!" Laughed and went back to work hearing the roof lift up and slam back down with every heavy gust of wind. My work was complete, my desk empty of task everyday before I left work, but one day I left my Facebook account signed in and the closing coworker decided to go through my page. She called the owner's daughter in and they proceeded to copy of select post from my page. Anyone that knows me can attest to the fact that I am sarcastic, fun loving, and directly honest. I am also single, completely unattached, and venting on the internet is therapy to someone who is lonely in life. The next day I was called into the GM's office for sit down with the GM, the owner and his daughter. He had in his hand a stack of my post and began reading them off - Why would I post "Getting F'n screamed at and I've been here 5 damn minutes" --- "Because it was true Sir." "Why would you share about the roof blowing off the building?" --- "Because it was true Sir." He continued "But, why would you?" to which I replied "Sir, I share breaking news with people on social media. I used it as it is intended to be used to be social with people on media. I also shared a story that the pavilion at a local venue fell during the storm, it's news that is happening not an insult to the business. We here sir had no control of the weather." He continued on to a few more meme shares that he accused me of posting to insult my boss when I in fact pointed to my feet and informed him "Sir, without these heels on I actually stand only 5' 2", that post is about myself and no one else." He then took a deep breathe and asked me what makes me angry at work and I replied "People taking your money, but not working. Your customers calling and not getting the service they deserve, but most of all the way that I am treated by my own boss." He then informed me that she would never be leaving and that I should look for work elsewhere. The General Manager called me in and told me that I would be paid to go out and do interviews, I could look for jobs online when my work was done and to take my time. I did excellent work and if given the chance he will see that and change his mind. I was told to "Play the game" and do it "their" way, so I did. Last Monday I went into work after taking my first two vacation days for my grandson's fifth birthday. We were so happy on our 4 day weekend. His mother still not too proud of a parent after 5 years, I thought that it was my time to take care of that. So I woke up determined that I was going to type up the guardianship papers and file for temporary custody for allow so that she can get counseling or figure out what is best for this child. Instead I walked in explained my plans to the HR Rep, who is also a Grandmother and completely understood where I was coming from, thought it was am exceptional idea. I caught the GM before she got busy for the day and tried to explain that I wanted to talk to her and my boss about taking a couple hours off to run down the street to the clerk's office to file for custody and she informed me that I would have plenty of time, because I was Laid off with no possibility of returning to work. I was crushed - lied to again.... play the game, do it their way, it was all bullshit and they were going to get rid of me the entire time. It was my death in the industry! I walked down stairs and said goodbye to the HR Rep and a majority of the sales people. I walked to my desk and unplugged my heater, grab the box of my belongings from underneath and quietly walked out of the building without anyone knowing I was leaving, my work still sitting on the desk exactly as I had left it, in my car and gone - another person that used me and threw me away. Half way down the street to the court house I realized I couldn't file for custody, because I didn't even have a job saying that I could support him, so my heart was completely crushed!! So that ends my life in death care and leaves me to find a new adventure in life without the effects of work place politics. I can not handle getting mentally bullied for someone else's benefit. Looking to start a new life with great opportunities and positive people. There may have been many bad things that have happened in my life, but it will never keep me from being the Warrior that I am inside. Peace and blessings - Live FEARLESS! She kicked the doorstop excepting the door to close, but remained open against the wall and ask I reached behind me trying to contain the smile as I reached to close it she abruptly says \"close that door\" so I close it and quietly say \"I got it.\" I watched her round, short body pace back and forth like a mad woman as she told me that I wasn't going to use that kind of tone with her. I watched her pace, throw paperwork on her chair, slam her hand on her desk and I finally with a straight face asked \"Are we done here?\" Before the confusion that was in her eyes could leak out of her mouth I continued, \"We both know what this was already predetermined to happen today after you sat with those two, but didn't get my version of the story, so since this that is going on was already planned to happen, I'm done with it.\" and a quietly walked back to my desk and continued on with my office day.\nObservation #3 - Billy Bad Ass Syndrome\nMental Note - We have ourselves a control freak here \nNovember came and we made National headlines for participating in an event, that thank God for the truth in alternative media the real story got out. \nhttp://baltimorebeat.com/2017/12/11/grave-concerns-will-detective-suiters-death-bring-commissioner-davis/\nI love independent research! \nNow I have a police detective gunned down the night before he was supposed to testify against other officer that were caught robbing people in the street, admittedly killing the father of another officer during one of their failed robbery attempts. This crew actually made the Baltimore court system sound like a new season of The Wire playing out for everyone to listen. \nI don't watch the tells-lies-in-vision, so my news source are real people, reporting real things and when it's a local story I will go see for myself before believing anyone. However, the interest in the story was a local news story sent to me in a text message showing me the face of the neighborhood elementary school bully\n\nThis has all came full circle and now I am at work and they are telling me when the funeral is going to be, but my research is telling me that his body is being cremated and won't even be released by the scheduled date. \nObservation #4 - It may not be just the boss, maybe the whole place is shady\nMental note - Trust no one!\nMy life continued on - working one day in the office with no heat, working in the summer with the air on 50, NO day is ever a \"good\" day to take off. We had a historic wind storm come through and blow off the corner of the building. I took a picture of it while I was out evacuating my car from the parking lot and posted it on Facebook. On my way in a friend from Puerto Rico joked and I sarcastically replied \"No they evacuated the cars from the parking lot, but not the people from the building - back to work now!\" Laughed and went back to work hearing the roof lift up and slam back down with every heavy gust of wind. \nMy work was complete, my desk empty of task everyday before I left work, but one day I left my Facebook account signed in and the closing coworker decided to go through my page. He had in his hand a stack of my post and began reading them off - Why would I post \"Getting F'n screamed at and I've been here 5 damn minutes\" --- \"Because it was true Sir.\" \"Why would you share about the roof blowing off the building?\" --- \"Because it was true Sir.\" He continued \"But, why would you?\" to which I replied \"Sir, I share breaking news with people on social media. I used it as it is intended to be used to be social with people on media. I also shared a story that the pavilion at a local venue fell during the storm, it's news that is happening not an insult to the business. We here sir had no control of the weather.\" He continued on to a few more meme shares that he accused me of posting to insult my boss when I in fact pointed to my feet and informed him \"Sir, without these heels on I actually stand only 5' 2\", that post is about myself and no one else.\" He then took a deep breathe and asked me what makes me angry at work and I replied \"People taking your money, but not working. Your customers calling and not getting the service they deserve, but most of all the way that I am treated by my own boss.\" He then informed me that she would never be leaving and that I should look for work elsewhere.\nThe General Manager called me in and told me that I would be paid to go out and do interviews, I could look for jobs online when my work was done and to take my time. I did excellent work and if given the chance he will see that and change his mind. I was told to \"Play the game\" and do it \"their\" way, so I did.\nLast Monday I went into work after taking my first two vacation days for my grandson's fifth birthday.\n\nWe were so happy on our 4 day weekend. His mother still not too proud of a parent after 5 years, I thought that it was my time to take care of that. So I woke up determined that I was going to type up the guardianship papers and file for temporary custody for allow so that she can get counseling or figure out what is best for this child. \nInstead I walked in explained my plans to the HR Rep, who is also a Grandmother and completely understood where I was coming from, thought it was am exceptional idea. I caught the GM before she got busy for the day and tried to explain that I wanted to talk to her and my boss about taking a couple hours off to run down the street to the clerk's office to file for custody and she informed me that I would have plenty of time, because I was Laid off with no possibility of returning to work. \nI was crushed - lied to again.... play the game, do it their way, it was all bullshit and they were going to get rid of me the entire time.\n\nIt was my death in the industry!\nI walked down stairs and said goodbye to the HR Rep and a majority of the sales people. I walked to my desk and unplugged my heater, grab the box of my belongings from underneath and quietly walked out of the building without anyone knowing I was leaving, my work still sitting on the desk exactly as I had left it, in my car and gone - another person that used me and threw me away.\nHalf way down the street to the court house I realized I couldn't file for custody, because I didn't even have a job saying that I could support him, so my heart was completely crushed!!\nSo that ends my life in death care and leaves me to find a new adventure in life without the effects of work place politics. I can not handle getting mentally bullied for someone else's benefit. \nLooking to start a new life with great opportunities and positive people.\nThere may have been many bad things that have happened in my life, but it will never keep me from being the Warrior that I am inside.\nPeace and blessings - Live FEARLESS!\nPlease check out my new page!! \nhttp://hempworx.com/mjdonaldson",

| title | My death in the cemetery industry |
| body | I guess I was raised with a morbid fascination for the death care industry. My uncles worked as pick up men for a local funeral home. They would sit around the kitchen table discussing their stories on people moaning or having muscle reactions, while as children we were eavesdropping on the conversation. I was a newspaper delivery girl when I was a kid and one of our customers was a local funeral home up the street. One of the few family owned businesses that still exist in my old neighborhood and the place where my mother was laid out in when I was 16. As an adult I figured that this was an industry that would never die ... haha! I took my first job as commissioned sales person. The Sales Director said if I was a bartender that was proof that I could talk to anyone, so she welcomed me with open arms and I began my new employment in the cemetery industry, a Family Service Counselor. My job was to meet with families that just lost loved ones to collect the fees for opening the ground or mausoleum crypt or selling them a vault if they didn't have one. Always try to get them to upgrade, the more they pay the more you make. Also involved was trying to get them to give you the names of friends and family members to gain leads for additional sales to other families of the newly deceased. I didn't feel comfortable demanding money from people on one of the worst days of their life and asked for a transfer to an administrative position with the same, NOW out of business, corporation that I was working for. The Operations Supervisor happily agreed and I was off to my new location in a beautiful area. My new position was Administrative Assistant. I enter work on the other side of the fence! The internal battle between sales and administration exist everywhere!!! The struggle is REAL! I was answering phones, no different than sales, taking information for incoming burial services, and preparing all of the follow up documentation that comes after the service, so that everyone can locate the deceased person in the future. A month into my position there I found out that my supervisor had a nervous breakdown and wouldn't be returning for awhile, so surprise you are alone until we find someone to fill in. I was educate how to order bronze markers from a wonderful representative named Sylvia with the biggest memorial company in the world. I was given knowledge of how to design and order granite markers by a gentleman named John that worked at a granite company in Elberton, GA. My knowledge on cemetery operations came from the regulations already in place by the corporation and following law and compliance I had a very patient mentor at the state cemetery oversight office that offered her knowledge to assist me in every way she could. After completing the correction of many misplaced burials from the superintendent that proceed the one that I worked with and the finalization of a corporate wide inventory project I was rewarded with a promotion to Director of Administration and Operations of a historic cemetery location with an attached funeral home. I have reached the top!!! I had the job of my dreams with an excellent staff, fully trained on how to do every position in the office. We helped each other, laughed, ran on budget and always had our work done. During one of the morning meetings with my staff the General Manager walked in and there was a noticeable difference in everyone's expression. My burial coordinator turned away and pulled herself under her desk. My contract processor suddenly became busy with a contract and my file clerk looked at me with a raised eyebrow and returned to what she was doing before we started talking. After he left the room I asked my burial coordinator to walk with me outside. I asked her why she ignored the meeting when he entered the room and she said "he has been making comments about my legs and ran his hand up my thigh." Enough heard, I asked my burial coordinator to come out and she gives her story that the night before while she was the closing person that he got so close to her that his lips touched her ear while he was talking to her. After thinking about what to do all day long I finally made a tearful call to my bosses assistant. I explained everything to her and knew that there was already a rumor that I didn't like him. It didn't appear good on my part, but this is happening and I asked what to do. She said to give her a few minutes and she would call me back, but instead the person that called me was my supervisor. The Area Director of Operations was on the phone and I had to explain the story again. The next day we were in a meeting with Human Resources at my location with him admitting and offering an apology to my employees - THAT'S IT!!! No additional punishment. Two weeks later is was called into a morning meeting with the Funeral Home Director. I walked in, sat down and joked with him the same that we did during every meeting while we were waiting for the boss to arrive. Our supervisor nervously enters the room and quickly closes the door. He turns and faces me and says "This is your last day here." So I look him and simply ask "Why?" to which he replies "Because you no longer work here." I again reply with "Why?" He then says "Because you have been terminated." So I again reply back with "Why?" and he finally says "Because you don't get along with your General Manager." I sat silent for a moment trying not to explode on the outside the way my feelings were doing devastation on the inside and after a moment asked "the same one that admittedly sexually harassed my staff?" He said "Yes" and I calmly stood up and asked my coworker if he was ready to escort me to my desk. I silently walked down the hall with him apologizing behind me and stating that he didn't know that it was going to happen. I walked to my desk and picked up my keys and ripped a couple of pages out of my desk journal and I was out the door. The Corporation wins and the little man losses After calling an attorney and requesting information I was told that I was fighting a corporation that they could drag it out for years and to take the petty offer and walk away. So I did and waked away from the corporate world. I also walked away from the funeral industry and became an office manager for a criminal counseling center, but family and employment don't mix, so after a stent in doing night time cleaning to get away from the world for awhile I applied back in the business. Now another corporation owns the first cemetery I was working at and they were looking for a Memorial Coordinator. Knowing the location, the job and the requirement the interview was a breeze. The second interview with one of my former managers that lit up when he saw me walk in the room. He said to look in my email for a proposal, accept it and I could start Monday. I was so happy to be back again!!! Then half way home I got a call from a number that looked very familiar upon answering I found out that I wasn't getting the job, because I wasn't RE-hireable. When I asked how that could happen they hung up with no further explanation. Depression set in!! A year later I get a message from a friend that is looking to fill a position at a privately owned cemetery on the westside. Low pay, little danger, little oversight from ownership - yeah sounds wonderful to the unemployed. All things come back around again. My Sales Director and Superintendent were from my first location and my boss was the assistant that I called for help and now we were working together again.... or NOT! The Sales Director and Superintendent didn't get along at my former place, all out hated each other. She being a black power, racist, feminist type. Him being an outdoors-man that loves snakes. They didn't get along so much that one day came to the point of screaming and actual physical contact between the two. Her on top of the desk arms flying around and whaling like a child having a temper tantrum. Him jumping into her chair just to instigate the situation. I wish I would have filmed it, but instead I stood there silently watching it all unfold. My end came when I could no longer tolerate being directly commented at like I was some sort of Trump supporter simply because I am white. One day the Director walked in and told me "You are to have NO opinion in this office!" I laughed and said "Excuse me I'll have an opinion where ever I want and you don't sign my paycheck" Challenge accepted! I had already been declared a witch by the Evangelist that preached to me every time I had to file index cards away in the file cabinet. Gifting me with scripture while I work, but when I question things like astrotheology or spelling she immediately laughs in my face and says there's no such thing. I decided to cut my losses and be done with the hateful stress that was in the office and there was a better job opportunity that came along, but that is another story **to be continued** |

My knowledge on cemetery operations came from the regulations already in place by the corporation and following law and compliance I had a very patient mentor at the state cemetery oversight office that offered her knowledge to assist me in every way she could. \nAfter completing the correction of many misplaced burials from the superintendent that proceed the one that I worked with and the finalization of a corporate wide inventory project I was rewarded with a promotion to Director of Administration and Operations of a historic cemetery location with an attached funeral home. \nI have reached the top!!!\n\nI had the job of my dreams with an excellent staff, fully trained on how to do every position in the office. We helped each other, laughed, ran on budget and always had our work done. \nDuring one of the morning meetings with my staff the General Manager walked in and there was a noticeable difference in everyone's expression. My burial coordinator turned away and pulled herself under her desk. My contract processor suddenly became busy with a contract and my file clerk looked at me with a raised eyebrow and returned to what she was doing before we started talking. After he left the room I asked my burial coordinator to walk with me outside. I asked her why she ignored the meeting when he entered the room and she said \"he has been making comments about my legs and ran his hand up my thigh.\" Enough heard, I asked my burial coordinator to come out and she gives her story that the night before while she was the closing person that he got so close to her that his lips touched her ear while he was talking to her. \nAfter thinking about what to do all day long I finally made a tearful call to my bosses assistant. No additional punishment.\nTwo weeks later is was called into a morning meeting with the Funeral Home Director. I walked in, sat down and joked with him the same that we did during every meeting while we were waiting for the boss to arrive. Our supervisor nervously enters the room and quickly closes the door. He turns and faces me and says \"This is your last day here.\" So I look him and simply ask \"Why?\" to which he replies \"Because you no longer work here.\" I again reply with \"Why?\" He then says \"Because you have been terminated.\" So I again reply back with \"Why?\" and he finally says \"Because you don't get along with your General Manager.\" I sat silent for a moment trying not to explode on the outside the way my feelings were doing devastation on the inside and after a moment asked \"the same one that admittedly sexually harassed my staff?\" He said \"Yes\" and I calmly stood up and asked my coworker if he was ready to escort me to my desk. I silently walked down the hall with him apologizing behind me and stating that he didn't know that it was going to happen. I walked to my desk and picked up my keys and ripped a couple of pages out of my desk journal and I was out the door.\n\nThe Corporation wins and the little man losses\nAfter calling an attorney and requesting information I was told that I was fighting a corporation that they could drag it out for years and to take the petty offer and walk away. So I did and waked away from the corporate world.\nI also walked away from the funeral industry and became an office manager for a criminal counseling center, but family and employment don't mix, so after a stent in doing night time cleaning to get away from the world for awhile I applied back in the business.\nNow another corporation owns the first cemetery I was working at and they were looking for a Memorial Coordinator. \nDepression set in!!\nA year later I get a message from a friend that is looking to fill a position at a privately owned cemetery on the westside. Low pay, little danger, little oversight from ownership - yeah sounds wonderful to the unemployed.\n\nAll things come back around again.\nMy Sales Director and Superintendent were from my first location and my boss was the assistant that I called for help and now we were working together again.... or NOT!\nThe Sales Director and Superintendent didn't get along at my former place, all out hated each other. \nMy end came when I could no longer tolerate being directly commented at like I was some sort of Trump supporter simply because I am white. One day the Director walked in and told me \"You are to have NO opinion in this office!\" I laughed and said \"Excuse me I'll have an opinion where ever I want and you don't sign my paycheck\" \nChallenge accepted! \nI had already been declared a witch by the Evangelist that preached to me every time I had to file index cards away in the file cabinet. Gifting me with scripture while I work, but when I question things like astrotheology or spelling she immediately laughs in my face and says there's no such thing. \nI decided to cut my losses and be done with the hateful stress that was in the office and there was a better job opportunity that came along, but that is another story\n**to be continued**",

| title | The untold horrors of grandparenting |
| body | I became a Grandmother on June 21, 2013. I was told that this was going to be a wonderful experience and that I will have the time of my life with a grandchild around, that was such a lie!! My daughter, a high school graduate, Veteran of the Army and the mother of my only grandson came home carrying her pillow with tears in her eyes after the baby's daddy told her that she was lying about her sonogram results, so I take in my pregnant daughter in February of 2013. I was so supportive, while she was so proud that completing her requirements for state assistance were just to burdensome for her to complete, so financial assistance I also provided. To make sure that she had everything that she need I invited everyone we knew to her baby shower and she received anything that she would need for the next two years of the child's life. My daughter so manipulative with the things she says makes plans with me about labor and delivery, not wanting anyone at the hospital so that she can bond with the new baby, and all the plans that she had for the future. Then, I walked in from work and found out that they both had been planning to be in the delivery room and they didn't even want me at the hospital and the ultimate plan was for me not to see my new grandson at all. I was so upset that I walked out of the house at 2 in the morning, bound for nowhere except looking for an escape. I meet up with a friend who keeps early hours and let my heart pour out about how hurt I was by the entire situation. For some reason I had the nagging feeling to return home and asked her to go with me, because my daughter was in labor. She knew I'm pretty good with picking up on these things, so she gathered her things and drove around the corner to my place. We quietly entered and five minutes later my daughter woke up, headed to the bathroom and screamed a few seconds later that her water broke.... NAILED IT AGAIN - I love that I can do that!!! So it's time to go, we head to the hospital and what a horrible experience that was. Delaying her labor, because "they were busy" that day and bringing it back on when they had time to schedule her in to drop her kid... it was a disgrace how she was treated, but maybe it was Karma kicking her at the time. THEN the moment came and it was time for my first and probably only grandchild to be born!!! Then my world collapse one more time when I asked her if I needed to leave. When she said Yes I said my goodbyes, at that moment I was leaving with no intention of ever meeting my grandson - I had been used for the last 6 months and it just wasn't worth my sanity. Down the hall and into the elevator and then I had stopped it the door just as it was getting ready to close. The door reopens to the face of baby's daddy asking me to come back into the delivery room, because my daughter really wanted me there. So I returned and met my grandson, Bryan for the very first time Over the course of the next couple of days the baby's daddy was thrown out of the hospital for not following orders of the staff for the baby's safety and telling a 2 day old to shut up I filed for full custody for my daughter, within 31 days I had established 100% custody with no attorney. Times has gone so fast He has learned to do so much NOW, he has just turned 5 and his mother said that she is going to take him away! Whoever said that being a grandparent is one of the best jobs you will ever had - LIED! I'm 5 years in and this in one of the hardest things that I have ever done in my life I love this child with everything in my heart and my soul. The hardest thing to see is that he is an only child just looking for a friend He is so happy to be around us, instead of the hateful people that his mother surrounds herself with. To summarize - I love my grandson with all my heart, but the whole experience of being a grandparent has gotten me heartbroken, manipulated, and physically assaulted by the person that he is supposed to look up as a loving parent. I wish I could take him and run away! But when I went to work on Monday and said that I wanted to go file for custody of him I was told that I no longer have a job, but that is another story for another day. |

"title": "The untold horrors of grandparenting",
"body": "I became a Grandmother on June 21, 2013. \nI was told that this was going to be a wonderful experience and that I will have the time of my life with a grandchild around, that was such a lie!!\n\nMy daughter, a high school graduate, Veteran of the Army and the mother of my only grandson came home carrying her pillow with tears in her eyes after the baby's daddy told her that she was lying about her sonogram results, so I take in my pregnant daughter in February of 2013. \nI was so supportive, while she was so proud that completing her requirements for state assistance were just to burdensome for her to complete, so financial assistance I also provided. To make sure that she had everything that she need I invited everyone we knew to her baby shower and she received anything that she would need for the next two years of the child's life.\n\nMy daughter so manipulative with the things she says makes plans with me about labor and delivery, not wanting anyone at the hospital so that she can bond with the new baby, and all the plans that she had for the future. \nThen, I walked in from work and found out that they both had been planning to be in the delivery room and they didn't even want me at the hospital and the ultimate plan was for me not to see my new grandson at all. I was so upset that I walked out of the house at 2 in the morning, bound for nowhere except looking for an escape. I meet up with a friend who keeps early hours and let my heart pour out about how hurt I was by the entire situation.\nFor some reason I had the nagging feeling to return home and asked her to go with me, because my daughter was in labor. She knew I'm pretty good with picking up on these things, so she gathered her things and drove around the corner to my place. We quietly entered and five minutes later my daughter woke up, headed to the bathroom and screamed a few seconds later that her water broke.... NAILED IT AGAIN - I love that I can do that!!!\nSo it's time to go, we head to the hospital and what a horrible experience that was. Delaying her labor, because \"they were busy\" that day and bringing it back on when they had time to schedule her in to drop her kid... it was a disgrace how she was treated, but maybe it was Karma kicking her at the time.\nTHEN the moment came and it was time for my first and probably only grandchild to be born!!! So I returned and met my grandson, Bryan for the very first time\n \nOver the course of the next couple of days the baby's daddy was thrown out of the hospital for not following orders of the staff for the baby's safety and telling a 2 day old to shut up I filed for full custody for my daughter, within 31 days I had established 100% custody with no attorney.\n\nTimes has gone so fast\n\nHe has learned to do so much\n\nNOW, he has just turned 5 and his mother said that she is going to take him away! \nWhoever said that being a grandparent is one of the best jobs you will ever had - LIED!\nI'm 5 years in and this in one of the hardest things that I have ever done in my life\n\nI love this child with everything in my heart and my soul. The hardest thing to see is that he is an only child just looking for a friend \n\nHe is so happy to be around us, instead of the hateful people that his mother surrounds herself with.\n\nTo summarize - I love my grandson with all my heart, but the whole experience of being a grandparent has gotten me heartbroken, manipulated, and physically assaulted by the person that he is supposed to look up as a loving parent.\nI wish I could take him and run away! But when I went to work on Monday and said that I wanted to go file for custody of him I was told that I no longer have a job, but that is another story for another day.",
