| body | Did you know that travelling can make your life better and happier in several ways? Read this list to find out what the top benefits of travelling are! 1) Benefits of travelling – It teaches you about the world “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – said Saint Augustine. Travelling can teach you more than any university course. You learn about the culture of the country you visit. If you talk to locals, you will likely learn about their thinking, habits, traditions and history as well. 2) Benefits of travelling – It teaches you about your homeland If you travel, you will not only learn about foreign cultures, but about your own as well. You will notice the cultural differences, and will find out what makes your culture unique. After retrurning from a long journey, you will see your country with new eyes. 3) Benefits of travelling – It teaches you about yourself You can learn a lot about yourself through travelling. You can observe how you feel beeing far from your country. You will find out how you feel about your homeland. You will realise how you really feel about foreign people. You will find out how much you know/do not know about the world. You will be able to observe how you react in completely new situations. You will test your language, orientational and social skills. You will not be the same person after returning home. 4) Benefits of travelling – It makes you more tolerant During travelling you will meet people that are very different from you. If you travel enough, you will learn to accept and appreciate these differences. Traveling makes you more open and accepting. 5) Benefits of travelling – It provides you with unforgettable moments and experiences Some of my most cherished memories are from the times when I was travelling. If you travel, you can experience things that you could never experience at home. You may see beautiful places and landscapes that do not exist where you live. You may meet people that will change your life, and your thingking. You may try activities that you have never tried before. 7) Benefits of travelling – It lets you gain useful knowledge If you travel, you may learn a lot of useful things. | body | Before we talk about the science behind travel, let's get to the bottom of happiness. Discovering and maintaining happiness can be tricky, but there is a lot of science seeking to solve the problem. With the recent advances in technology, we have begun to really measure and quantify what it is to be happy—and consequently—the optimal way to live your life and achieve happiness. Of course, the path to happiness may be unique to everyone but research is showing us specific things that have the greatest effect for the most people. books, sunset, & travel ## What the Research Says For more than 20 years, Dr. Thomas Gilovich, a psychology professor at Cornell University, has been trying to untangle the complex web of happiness and its relationship with money. Through his research, Dr. Gilovich has discovered that happiness is not sustained from buying things that we want—even if they're things we highly desire or consider to be an extension of our personality. ## But why? Gilovich explains: "One of the enemies of happiness is adaptation. We buy things to make us happy, and we succeed. But only for a while. New things are exciting to us at first, but then we adapt to them." Okay, that makes sense. We all can relate to the feeling of being excited by something new and then bored of it rather quickly. But, if we just kept buying new things, couldn’t that provide the novelty we are looking for and thereby maintain our happiness? Well, not according to the trends of happiness throughout the world, or by the research conducted at Cornell. So, what is the secret sauce in the recipe of sustained happiness? Experience Although buying new items may provide novelty, they lack an essential ingredient to the recipe of maintaining happiness. Here is how Dr. Gilovich puts it: "Our experiences are a bigger part of ourselves than our material goods. You can really like your material stuff. You can even think that part of your identity is connected to those things, but nonetheless, they remain separate from you. In contrast, your experiences really are part of you. We are the sum total of our experiences.” This research reveals what many of us intuitively know to be true. I am confident that everyone reading this can directly relate to the notion that experiencing things can induce greater states of happiness than buying them. Our richest and most precious memories do not originate from material goods we’ve purchased. Instead, they are a consequence of experiences w e’ve had. |

| body | Cox's Bazar is famous for its long natural sandy sea beach. I have been to Cox's Bazar in all seasons and many times over the last 20 years or so. And I would love to share my practical experience with you! Even 20 years ago Cox's Bazar was relatively a small town. There were lots of hotels, motels and guest houses for tourists' accommodations and restaurants for having a variety of great food still there at around that time. But, over the years Cox's Bazar has been transformed into a busy tourist city. It has more international visitors now than ever. The availability of more recreational facilities is attracting more tourists every year. Cox's Bazar has the world's largest unbroken sea beach which stretches more than 120 km. The entire beach is a stretch of golden sandy sea beach which is reachable by motorbike. The beach gets busy from November to early March. If you want to avoid the herd of both domestic and international tourists, then the best time to take a trip there would be between April and September, preferrably April and June. Today, it boasts of luxurious five-star and three-star hotels some of which are international chain hotels. There are numerous budget-friendly modern hotels, motels and guest houses at cheaper prices. The variety of accommodation options and a wide array of restaurants available today has made it a perfect base to explore magnificent beaches and other natural beauty in and around Cox's Bazar. Communication was not that good even a decade ago, but today it is very well-connected by air and road link with the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka and the port city Chittagong. There are high-class direct bus/coach services to and from Dhaka and Chittagong. Going by bus or coach will allow you to explore the stunning landscapes of Bangladesh. So what Cox's Bazar has got to offer? Simply everything if I have to answer in one sentence. The 120 km long golden sand beach is reachable by motorbike and that is something that attracts tens of thousands of tourists from home and abroad. There are several beaches along this 120 km stretch of golden sea beach in Cox's Bazar. The entire beach is is named differently at different places, such as: Laboni Beach ( the most crowded and festive beach because it is closer to the city centre) Sughandha Beach (within Cox's Bazar city) Himchari Beach (10 km south of Cox's Bazar city) Inani Beach (30 km south of the city) Technaf Beach (more than 70 km south of Cox's Bazar city) Laboni Beach is the busiest beach as it is closer to most of the hotels, restaurants and other facilities in the city. There is a big market just around the entrance of the beach with hundreds of stalls, selling a wide array of products, including handmade clothes and crafts, pearls, jewelleries and more. There are lots of fine restaurants that are serving delicious seafood and local Bangladeshi dishes. Himchari is famous for not only the beautiful beach but also for the hills that run alongside the beach. There are some small but wonderful waterfalls in Himchari. This is a nice place for having a picnic and for photo-shooting. There are many restaurants around serving delicious seafood as well as other local Bangladeshi dishes. Prices are cheap too. You can enjoy exploring small caves and climbing up the hills when you visit Himchari. There is a natural park too that is worth visiting. Inani Beach is my most favourite sea beach in Cox's Bazar. The beach is wide, clean and quiet and the water is blue. It is the best honeymoon destination in Cox's Bazar. If you want some more privacy, quietness and romantic environment this is the best beach for you. Inani Beach is an ideal place for sea-bathing and a picnic. There are eco-cottages not far away the beach if you love eco-tourism. There are many modern hotels on Inani Beach, including 5 Star and budget friendly hotels. The wide sandy stunning beach in the backdrop of high hills covered by lush green forests offers an enchanting scene that will fill your heart and mind with absolute joy and delight. You may even come across elephants and other animals in the hills. I have been to all these beaches many times. The entire beach is considerably wide and flat with gentle slope towards the shore. It has been sandwiched between a long stretch of low-lying hills and cliffs and the wavy water of the Bay of Bengal that touches the entire beach throughout its 120 km. Of course, swimming in the clean, shark-free and wavy water is one of the top attractions, you have ample of options to enjoy. The more you get to the south, the more the water becomes blue. As you go further down south of the city, you will come across many beautiful small canals that empty into the Bay of Bengal. Watching the sun set is another favourite activity. Strolling through the Burmese markets is fun too. Talking to local people is a great way to meet and get to know local people. Bangladeshis are extremely friendly, helpful and peace-loving people. Driving along the Marine Drive which stretches throughout the 120 km long sandy sea beach is one of the most exciting ways to explore Cox's Bazar. You can drive down south of the city to Himchari beach and further down to Inani beach. These two are the most visited beaches outside Cox's Bazar city area. There are lots of wonderful tourist attractions near the city, but I have only talked about the beach in Cox's Bazar. If you love exploring beaches, eating and trying new things, I promise Cox's Bazar will not disappoint you. |

All we knew was traditions and stories so old that no one remembers how many centuries ago they were told about our free world. What made our world so gloomy and sad was the fog. Ubiquitous and dense, it filled every crevice, all the erased space, roads, streets in cities. Sometimes the sun would reach the earth, but none of us saw the sun, at least none of us who came from the last generation. Everything had changed, plants and animals were now adjusting to living in that gray, and how to live without the sun. We were still planting crops, growing poultry, but everything was unnatural and even that segment of life. It is certain that we have changed too. And no one, but no one knows how to improve the current state of affairs. Sometimes, a few years ago, a story circulated that the fog had come when we got our new ruler. Most residents have never seen him, but whenever a natural shift to the throne occurred over time, something in the fog changed. My family and I lived in a small town, not far from the capital. Emerald City, that's what it's called. Although emeralds have not existed in our mines for centuries, the remains of the once glorious city are still present everywhere. Large and magnificent buildings, museums, castles, villas. Although long known as the capital of commerce, it was now a peaceful and withdrawn city that by no means stood out. The living here was more or less planned, we would go to school at the age of ten, after acquiring elementary education, one would further study for a considerable degree, and some, if talented, would continue their education. I was one of those who got the opportunity to continue my education. My family once, four generations ago, owned three mines and the remnants of that former power still allowed me and my brothers to live safely but also to get the education we wanted. My two brothers thought that military service was what would bring them the glory they were talking about from childhood. I still chose universal education - that's what my tutors called it. At the age of seventeen our roads parted, I was sent to the capital, the City of Mirrors, and two of them to the nearest military garrison on the eastern border of the Kingdom. The parents rented a room for me in the capital, and prepared everything in advance for my departure and stay in the capital. The parting was warm, my mother was crying, but it didn't seem to me to be crucial. I made a bad mistake, it was the last time I would ever see them, but we'll talk about that later. The City of Mirrors was a kind of strange, engineering marvel of our time. Because it was on the perimeter of the Hollow Mountains, the sun's rays were reaching the city more often, and mirrors were placed everywhere on the baths, walls, roofs and towers so that the light of the sun could reach the streets and its citizens. My place of residence was at one inn not far from the west town square, the boss was a balding and old gentleman. The room was clean and tidy, and contained only a basic, one chair, a table, a wardrobe and a bed. The innkeeper, Toyal, directed me the shortest way to the school I had to attend and I went there immediately. These were my instructions, to call back immediately because the classes are individual and start the moment I step on the school floor. That first step I made in the backyard of my school changed my life. |

| body | It was around 4.30 PM when I got the called from that patient uncle. He told that he reach Chennai airport and ask me to come and get her and to help him to reach CMC. He came along with his younger brother who doesn’t know any language except Manipuri. I reach airport soon and I was uncles waiting for me. The colour of his body was fully yellowish. His eyes were too yellow. All his skin looks yellow. I found out that it’s because of Kidney problem. All the poisonous of the body are coming out in blood making it yellow in colour. We reached doctor in CMC hospital. They told that it’s really serious and need to major open surgery. But at least a month have to wait for surgery as there are already 1000s people booked for surgery. And he also told that He may not survive more than 20 days without that operation. Oh my god. I was shocked and so scared. I was thinking to go for another hospital but that night. But that night, he started vomiting blood. We were in nearby Hotel. It was around 1:00 AM. He wakes us up and complaining of stomach pain. He fist passed motion with blood. He also passed urine which is too blood. So scared, don’t know what to do. My second uncle run outside to call ambulance and help. He keeps on vomiting blood. Seems like he is not able to breathe properly. He started taking long breath. His mouth was all blood. I try to remove blood from his mouth with a cloth. Suddenly he slightly smiles and said – My time has come, I want to die at least in my home. How would be my wife and family? I was shocked to hear that and my eyes fills with tears and I told him – please don’t say that. Everything will be all right. Uncle went to get doctors and ambulance. Everything will be all right. He said that – “No, I know my time has come. I can see bad spirit (ghost) coming to take my soul around here. I have seen them from morning itself inside this room. I didn’t tell u guys because you guys may get scared and afraid. Now also there is a HEAD without body on the top of TV just right there “. I was trembling just turn out fast to see on the top of TV. Oh god, I didn’t see anything. But my hairs get stood up and I was frightened to dead. I can feel like something around us. Then I cry and said – “Why are you saying like that, there I nothing on TV. It’s just your imagination and you will be fine. Please don’t worry. Everything will be fine. Again He said taking long breath – “Can’t you see stupid. It’s right there on the top of TV. He even smiles at me. Just a head is here with wide open eyes”. I was again dead scared and look out very fast toward TV. This time, I really saw a monster head without a body looking angrily to my eyes. It has long teeth, wide open, red eyes, and hair like thread. It’s just like I used to see in Horror movies. I shouted loud (“Ahhhhhhhhh”) at the moment I was it and it just got disappear within a second. I know that now he will surely die. (May be I am also after that..). In that moment, I hear uncle (went to call doctor) calling me outside with ambulance sound. I know that he came along with ambulance and doctor. I response him and run outside. When I reach outside, I found no one else, no uncle, no ambulance. It was around 1.30 AM. I know that it’s going to be something wrong inside. I run inside the room again and found that uncle was lying with blood in his mouth, seems just vomited again. When I called him, he didn’t reply at all. I move his body, still no reaction. I know that fucking ghost Head has taken his soul. I shouted angrily – “How dare you, come in front of me. Why are you doing like this to him. Come and fight me if you could, you ghost, I will kill you…” But no response. Hearing my shout, next room person came. He saw blood vomiting from uncle everywhere in the room, in the bed and all around. At that time, my another uncle came with ambulance and a nurse. He was shocked to see that. Afterwards, he also told that he saw that same head when he went to call ambulance and doctor. That head keep on scaring him and stop from calling ambulance and doctor. |
