Su nombre era José y estaba cargando todos sus libros. Pensé ¿por qué alguien trae todos sus libros a casa en viernes? debe ser un fanático del estudio. Tenía planeado un gran fin de semana (Fiestas y un juego de fútbol en la tarde), así que sólo seguí mi camino. Mientras caminaba, vi a un grupo de chicos corriendo hacia José, que le tiraron los libros que traía cargando y lo empujaron para que cayera al suelo. Sus lentes salieron volando y vi como cayeron en el piso a unos tres metros de él. Miró hacia arriba y observe una terrible tristeza en sus ojos. Mi corazón se volcó hacia a él y mientras se arrastraba hacia sus lentes, vi lagrimas en sus ojos. Mientras le entregaba sus lentes, le dije: esos tipos son unos idiotas. Deberían ocuparse en algo en vez de andar molestando. Me miró y dijo Oye ¡Gracias!. Había una enorme sonrisa en su cara. Era una de esas sonrisas que mostraba autentica gratitud, le ayude a recoger sus libros y le pregunte donde vivía, resulto que vivía cerca de mi casa, así que le pregunte por que nunca lo había visto en el vecindario, me respondió que estudiaba en un colegio privado , yo nunca me había juntado con un chico que estudiara en colegio. Hablamos en el camino a casa, resulto ser un chico muy agradable, lo invite a jugar fútbol conmigo y mis amigos el sábado y acepto, pasamos junto el fin de semana y mientras, más lo conocía más me agradaba, mis amigos pensaban igual. Llegó el lunes y allí estaba José de nuevo con su enorme montón de libros, lo detuve y le dije que si continuaba así, iba a conseguir muy buenos músculos. El simplemente se rió y me paso la mitad de los libros. Durante los siguiente cuatros años, José y yo nos convertimos en los mejores amigos cuando estamos por salir de la preparatoria, empezamos en la universidad, José escogió la UCLA y yo escogí UCV. Yo sabía que siempre seríamos amigos y que la distancia nunca sería un problema. El decidió convertirse en doctor y yo conseguí una beca en fútbol para estudiar en la escuela de negocios. Lo molestaba todo el tiempo de que era un matado por los estudios. Incluso unos de los primeros seleccionados por la universidades y estaba preparando el discurso del día de graduación. Me alegré de no tener que ser yo el que estuviera que pasar el frente y hablar. El día de la graduación, José lucía fantástico, se adaptaba incluso se veía bien con sus anteojos. Tenía más citas que yo y todas las chicas lo amaban. Bueno, algunas veces estaba un poco celoso de él. Hoy era uno de eso día donde él estaba nervioso, así que le di una palmada en la espalda y le dije oye, amigo, estarás muy bien. Me miró con una de esas miradas de agradecimiento, sonrío y me dijo Gracias. Mientras empezaba su discurso. Aclaró la garganta y empezó. “El tiempo de graduación es de agradecer aquellos que nos ayudaron a lograrlos a través de esos años difíciles; nuestros padres, nuestros maestros, nuestros hermanos, tal vez a su entrenador, pero más que nada a los amigos. Estoy aquí para decirles que ser amigo es el mejor regalo que le puedes dar a una persona. Les voy a contar una historia". (Yo miraba incrédulamente a mi amigo mientras contaba la historia del primer día en que nos conocimos), "Había planeado suicidarme este fin de semana". Nos contó acerca de cómo me había vaciado su casillero para que su mamá no tuviera que hacerlo después y estaba llevando sus cosas a casa. Me miró profundamente y me regalo una sonrisa. Gracias a mi amigo fui salvado, si mi amigo me salvó de hacer lo indecible. Oí una exclamación de la multitud, mientras este guapo y popular muchacho nos comentó acerca de su momento de debilidad. Su nombre era José y estaba cargando todos sus libros. Pensé ¿por qué alguien trae todos sus libros a casa en viernes? debe ser un fanático del estudio. Tenía planeado un gran fin de semana (Fiestas y un juego de fútbol en la tarde), así que sólo seguí mi camino.\n\nMientras caminaba, vi a un grupo de chicos corriendo hacia José, que le tiraron los libros que traía cargando y lo empujaron para que cayera al suelo. Sus lentes salieron volando y vi como cayeron en el piso a unos tres metros de él. Miró hacia arriba y observe una terrible tristeza en sus ojos. Mi corazón se volcó hacia a él y mientras se arrastraba hacia sus lentes, vi lagrimas en sus ojos. \n\nMientras le entregaba sus lentes, le dije: esos tipos son unos idiotas. Deberían ocuparse en algo en vez de andar molestando. Me miró y dijo Oye ¡Gracias!.\n\nHabía una enorme sonrisa en su cara. Era una de esas sonrisas que mostraba autentica gratitud, le ayude a recoger sus libros y le pregunte donde vivía, resulto que vivía cerca de mi casa, así que le pregunte por que nunca lo había visto en el vecindario, me respondió que estudiaba en un colegio privado , yo nunca me había juntado con un chico que estudiara en colegio. \n\nHablamos en el camino a casa, resulto ser un chico muy agradable, lo invite a jugar fútbol conmigo y mis amigos el sábado y acepto, pasamos junto el fin de semana y mientras, más lo conocía más me agradaba, mis amigos pensaban igual. Llegó el lunes y allí estaba José de nuevo con su enorme montón de libros, lo detuve y le dije que si continuaba así, iba a conseguir muy buenos músculos. El simplemente se rió y me paso la mitad de los libros. Durante los siguiente cuatros años, José y yo nos convertimos en los mejores amigos cuando estamos por salir de la preparatoria, empezamos en la universidad, José escogió la UCLA y yo escogí UCV.\n\nYo sabía que siempre seríamos amigos y que la distancia nunca sería un problema. El decidió convertirse en doctor y yo conseguí una beca en fútbol para estudiar en la escuela de negocios. Lo molestaba todo el tiempo de que era un matado por los estudios. Incluso unos de los primeros seleccionados por la universidades y estaba preparando el discurso del día de graduación. Me alegré de no tener que ser yo el que estuviera que pasar el frente y hablar.\n El día de la graduación, José lucía fantástico, se adaptaba incluso se veía bien con sus anteojos. Tenía más citas que yo y todas las chicas lo amaban. Bueno, algunas veces estaba un poco celoso de él.\n\nHoy era uno de eso día donde él estaba nervioso, así que le di una palmada en la espalda y le dije oye, amigo, estarás muy bien. Me miró con una de esas miradas de agradecimiento, sonrío y me dijo Gracias.\n\nMientras empezaba su discurso. Aclaró la garganta y empezó. “El tiempo de graduación es de agradecer aquellos que nos ayudaron a lograrlos a través de esos años difíciles; nuestros padres, nuestros maestros, nuestros hermanos, tal vez a su entrenador, pero más que nada a los amigos. Estoy aquí para decirles que ser amigo es el mejor regalo que le puedes dar a una persona. Les voy a contar una historia\". (Yo miraba incrédulamente a mi amigo mientras contaba la historia del primer día en que nos conocimos), \"Había planeado suicidarme este fin de semana\". Nos contó acerca de cómo me había vaciado su casillero para que su mamá no tuviera que hacerlo después y estaba llevando sus cosas a casa. \n\nMe miró profundamente y me regalo una sonrisa. Gracias a mi amigo fui salvado, si mi amigo me salvó de hacer lo indecible. Oí una exclamación de la multitud, mientras este guapo y popular muchacho nos comentó acerca de su momento de debilidad.
