The path generally follows Talimena Scenic Highway (OK SH 1) through the Ouachita National Forest.  Even though it's 4 hours from home, it's my favorite place to spend an early spring weekend in Oklahoma.  \n\nThis last weekend, fourteen of us spent a couple of days on the Pashubbe and Kiamichi sections practicing for a bigger hike we have planned this summer.  I thought I'd share a couple pictures and recommend this hike for anyone looking for a challenging trail hike with great scenery. \n\nThis may be the best trail campsite on the Oklahoma side - right along the Kiamichi river.
