What are the other attributes of God (vs.27-29)? Note also, that other created thing on earth and in the sky and seas are to praise Him (vs.30-35).\n\nDavid realised that thanksgiving and praises are not supposed to be something we do occasionally when we are celebrating victories but should rather be a daily affair. Thus, he put in place a system of regular, daily and continuous worship and praise of God before the Ark in Jerusalem (v.37) and retaining the sacrifices at the tabernacle at Gibeon (vs.39-40).\n\nRead v.40 again. How does offering sacrifices morning and evening apply to us today? Notice also that the praise was not to be done haphazardly or frivolously but according to all that is written in the law of God.\n\nObserve David's priestly role to his family (v.43b). David found himself in the cave. He was disowned, deserted and disappointed by his friends. In addition to this, he was surrounded by enemies. \nHe had nowhere to run to. What did he do in the cave (vs.5-7)? Can you imagine a deep prayer for protection and deliverance when in such a situation? That may just be the kind that the Bible refers to in Romans 8:26 where the Spirit intercedes within groaning that cannot be uttered. What were some of the challenges facing David (vs.3-4 , 6)? David was however certain he could always find deliverance in God, hence his heartfelt cry to Him. When your walk with God is intimate, no danger will make you a prisoner to fear and despair.\n\nWe are never just one in a crowd but uniquely dear to God (Matthew 10:28-31). In whatever 'cave' we may find ourselves, let us trust in the Lord and cry to Him. He will deliver us. \n\n_*And So:* Meditate on Deuteronomy 31:6 and thank the Lord for His promise. Then, use v.5 as your prayer today.\n\n_*Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?*_\n\n*Read the Bible a year:* 1 Kings 1-2; Matthew 6:1-8.",
