But Maryam Nawaz got into politics. But his steel business was devasted and was nationalized by the Bhutto. After a big loss, he joined the Pakistan Muslim League in 1976.  In those days, this PML was growing and was in power. Because this party was led by the General Zia-ul-Huq. In those days, the recently appointed governor selected the Nawaz Sharif as the finance minister of Punjab in 1980. \n\nBut his main focus was on the regaining of steel plants that were lost in the reign of Bhutto. That's why he maintained the alliance with the General Zia-ul-Huq. And he was succeeded in gaining his steel mill. \n\nHe invested in oil mills in Arab to establish his steel mill empire. And he never forgot Bhutto who devasted the economics of the business of Nawaz even after Bhutto's terrible death.\n\nHe got a victory in elections of 1985 against Malik Allahyar, who was appointed by Muhammad Khan Junejo. Nawaz Sharif became the prime minister of Punjab with the help of the army. He formed the economic infrastructure of the most popular province of Pakistan and established law and order. He became famous that he was given a nickname \"Lion of the Punjab\". \n\nGeneral Zia-ul-Huq dissolved the government of Khan Junejo. But Nawaz Sharif was still retained as the prime minister of Punjab. The elections were started after the death of General Zia-ul-Huq in 1988.\n\nAt that time, there were two main political parties. One was PML led by Nawaz Sharif against junego group led by Muhammad Khan Junejo.  And the other was PML-Q. These two parties along with other seven conservative parties started opposing PPP, led by\nBenazir Bhutto. Nawaz Sharif again became the prime minister of Punjab in 1989.\n\n<hr>\n\n## First term as Prime Minister (1990-1993):\n\nHe became the 12th prime minister of Pakistan after Benazir Bhutto. The conservatives became into power under democracy for the first time in the history of Pakistan. Because previously non-democratic systems were in power. As Nawaz Sharif was a businessman he privatized the government banks and started establishing the economic infrastructure. \n\nIt should be noted that army supported the Nawaz Sharif and sponsored the government. Even Nawaz Sharif was made the head of IJI (Islami Jamhori Ittihad) and IJI was funded by ISI. He made new policies that were continued even in Benazir Bhutto by 2000.\n\nNawaz Sharif took big steps in that era. He encouraged the conservative policies and Islamization. He assigned tasks to the ministry of religion. He started making the relationships with other Islamic countries. But at that time he had disputes with the generals and it will cause future. But later he contended with the upcoming chief ministers. In those days there were disputes and conflictions between MQM (A political party in Karachi city) and PML. It was a war between liberalism and conservatism. PPP and MQM opposed vehemently because Nawaz was beautifying Punjab neglecting other other provinces.\n\nEven GDP was grown up to 7% in 1992. Nawaz Sharif executed atomic energy programs. And he launched medicine and engineering projects. He maintained laws such as the Shariat Ordinance to prosper the Islamization and Bait-ul-Mal to help poor people. Many industries were established in 1990. But it was dropped by 4% from 1993 to 1998. And the reason was the war between PML and MQM. The conditions of Karachi were critical in those days. \n \nHe introduced new policies for the nuclear energy, scientific research centers and cooperated with the navy to make new weapons for peaceful purposes.\n\nBut an incident diminished the support of Punjab and Kashmir for Sharif. When co-operative societies gave a loan to Ittefaq Group of Industries - Sharif' steel mill. Because of the mismanagement of these societies, they went bankrupt and around 700000 lost their money. Although Sharif paid his loan afterward. But this incident badly affected the reputation of Nawaz Sharif.\n\nBut there were issues between Sharif and Ghulam Ishaq Khan, the president of Pakistan. And president tried to appoint a new prime minister with the help of Pakistan Army and tried to dissolve national assembly. But Sharif reached High Court for this issue and as a result, Sharif returned back to the power.\n\nAt last, Sharif resigned from the ministry of Pakistan under the pressure of Pakistan Army in 1993. It was the result of the disputes between Sharif and Pakistan Army.\n\n<hr>\n\n## Second term as Prime Minister (1997-1999):\n\nHe was elected as the prime minister for the second term. And Benazir Bhutto was defeated very badly in the elections of 1997. The reason was corruption. He enjoyed the popularity because people hoped that he would bring a change in the economy of the country. \n\nHe followed the nuclear policy and his purpose was to accomplish the project of nuclear power. The important decision that he took was the nuclear tests. When India executed a nuclear test two times. And after that, they started threatening Pakistan. But it was difficult to take the decision of nuclear tests due to the economic recession. But it was necessary to execute a nuclear test. Because everyone was ready and waiting for these test such as country people, Pak Army and the former prime ministers of Pakistan. It increased the popularity of the Nawaz Sharif. And he was praised. Nawaz Sharif described in PTV that these test would have executed 20 years before but due to abject poverty, it was delayed. \n\nAfter that, he extended relations with Muslim Countries, Turkey, and Europe. He signed agreements on the trading. He always believes in democracy, the relation with other countries in foreign policy. \n\nAnd after the terrorist attack on the Egypt Embassy in Islamabad, he took an initiate against terrorist attacks. Anti-terrorist Courts were established by Anti-terrorist act. Then these Courts were used by the General Pervez Musharaf to prosecute Nawaz in a hijacking case.\n\nThe relations of Sharif were friendly and cordial with the Pak Army from 1981 to 1999. Then he had severed relations with Forces when he tried to replace Pervez Musharaf with the Generals that were loyal to him in 1999. Even though he himself pointed General Pervez Musharaf as the chairman of joint chiefs of staff.\n\nAt that time Pervez Musharaf was in Sri Lanka. When he heard the news of arresting himself on the airport by police on the order of Sharif. He contacted top Pakistan Army leaders and ousted the Nawaz Sharif administration. \nAfter that everything was changed. Sharif was arrested for kidnapping, attempt to murder, corruption, and hijacking cases. The general Pervez Musharaf speeded up the trial process. And the court was near to give Sharif sentenced to death. But due to corruption, 14-year imprisonment was added. \n\nWhen Fahd king heard the news about the Sharif, he shocked. His relations were very close with the Sharif in terms of business. So when Musharaf visited the state. Fahd king showed his concern over this sentence and was feared of being situations more critical. Because it happened with the Bhutto in 1979. That was the reason, instead of imprisonment Sharif was placed in exile. And he went to Jeddah. And there he was given a loan by Saudi Government. \n\nHe established a steel mill. And he was allowed to return back to Pakistan in 2007. He returned back to Saudia after staying a few hours due to an emergency called in Pakistan. People were very happy and whistled for Sharif on arriving in Pakistan. Musharaf convinced the Saudi Government not to sent Sharif before 2008 elections. He returned back in Pakistan one day before register for elections.\n\n<hr>\n\n# Third term as Prime Minister (2013-2017):\n\nHe again was elected as the prime minister of Pakistan for the third time in the history of Pakistan. And of course the, selection criteria was voting. The successor Government did a lot of corruption and put the country at the budget deficit. That's why he has to face energy shortages, budget deficit issues, large debt, fiscal deficit, high price issues. But he faced all of these crises and has to take a loan of $6.6 billion from the international monetary fund.\n\nHe again improved the economic conditions of pakistan and executed operation Zarb-e-Qalam to influence positive effect on the people. He invested in art, poetry, and literature to bring positivity to the society. He executed operation Zarb-e-Azam that broke the structure of terrorism from the root. There were many operations in Karachi to maintain peace in society. He also invested in nuclear power and started youth initiative programs to help the youth. He gave a loan to the youngsters to start a business without any interest. He also invested money in education so that scholarships were issued for the students under the program PEEF(Pakistan Educational Endowment Fund). \n\nBut there was also criticism against Sharif. This time Imran Khan, the leader of PTI and Tahir-ul-Qadri, the leader of PAF stood against him to dissolve his government. The Pak Army was the backbone of Imran Khan in dissolving the Government of Sharif. When they were opposing the sharif and especially Imran Khan insisted him to resign. A news 'Panama Leaks' was spread which included the name of all the corrupt leaders of countries. Sharif name was also present in the Panama Papers. It was a big factor that helped politicians to change the views of people against the Sharif family. And Imran Khan picked two points against Sharif. Firstly, he claimed that 2013 elections were rigged while Sharif claimed that the elections were fair. Secondly, Panama Leaks' issue is the prominent factor that he used. Pak Army was helping the Khan backend against Sharif.\n\nAnd both Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri protested in D-Chowk of Islamabad. And it was remained for 120 days, the big gathering that longed for a long time.\n\nBut what were the people demanding?\nPeople led by Tahir-ul-Qadri were protesting to implement Shariah and to announce the death of Mumtaz Qadri a martyr.\nOther people led by Imran Khan were protesting because of the corruption of Sharif.\n\nAt last, Sharif was disqualified for life from the ministry on 20 April 2017. And again he can't complete his five years. And now he has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment in case of corruption of $300 million (according to NAB). And his daughter Maryam Nawaz was also sentenced to 7 years. His son-in-law was also sentenced to prison for 1 year. Now they are in Adiala Jail. \n\n<hr>\n\n## Conclusion:\n\nNawaz Sharif was elected as the prime minister three times. But he never completed his five years. And it was always the conflictions from 1999 to 2018 between the Nawaz Sharif and Pak Army (directly or indirectly) that always declined the government of Nawaz Sharif.\n\nNow the elections are being held on 25 July 2018. \n***The question arises who is the next prime minister of Pakistan?***\n\nLet me know what do you think about it.\n***How many chances are for the Imran Khan to win?***\n<hr>",

But Maryam Nawaz got into politics. But his steel business was devasted and was nationalized by the Bhutto. After a big loss, he joined the Pakistan Muslim League in 1976.  In those days, this PML was growing and was in power. Because this party was led by the General Zia-ul-Huq. In those days, the recently appointed governor selected the Nawaz Sharif as the finance minister of Punjab in 1980. \n\nBut his main focus was on the regaining of steel plants that were lost in the reign of Bhutto. That's why he maintained the alliance with the General Zia-ul-Huq. And he was succeeded in gaining his steel mill. \n\nHe invested in oil mills in Arab to establish his steel mill empire. And he never forgot Bhutto who devasted the economics of the business of Nawaz even after Bhutto's terrible death.\n\nHe got a victory in elections of 1985 against Malik Allahyar, who was appointed by Muhammad Khan Junejo. Nawaz Sharif became the prime minister of Punjab with the help of the army. He formed the economic infrastructure of the most popular province of Pakistan and established law and order. He became famous that he was given a nickname \"Lion of the Punjab\". \n\nGeneral Zia-ul-Huq dissolved the government of Khan Junejo. But Nawaz Sharif was still retained as the prime minister of Punjab. The elections were started after the death of General Zia-ul-Huq in 1988.\n\nAt that time, there were two main political parties. One was PML led by Nawaz Sharif against junego group led by Muhammad Khan Junejo.  And the other was PML-Q. These two parties along with other seven conservative parties started opposing PPP, led by\nBenazir Bhutto. Nawaz Sharif again became the prime minister of Punjab in 1989.\n\n<hr>\n\n## First term as Prime Minister (1990-1993):\n\nHe became the 12th prime minister of Pakistan after Benazir Bhutto. The conservatives became into power under democracy for the first time in the history of Pakistan. Because previously non-democratic systems were in power. As Nawaz Sharif was a businessman he privatized the government banks and started establishing the economic infrastructure. \n\nIt should be noted that army supported the Nawaz Sharif and sponsored the government. Even Nawaz Sharif was made the head of IJI (Islami Jamhori Ittihad) and IJI was funded by ISI. He made new policies that were continued even in Benazir Bhutto by 2000.\n\nNawaz Sharif took big steps in that era. He encouraged the conservative policies and Islamization. He assigned tasks to the ministry of religion. He started making the relationships with other Islamic countries. But at that time he had disputes with the generals and it will cause future. But later he contended with the upcoming chief ministers. In those days there were disputes and conflictions between MQM (A political party in Karachi city) and PML. It was a war between liberalism and conservatism. PPP and MQM opposed vehemently because Nawaz was beautifying Punjab neglecting other other provinces.\n\nEven GDP was grown up to 7% in 1992. Nawaz Sharif executed atomic energy programs. And he launched medicine and engineering projects. He maintained laws such as the Shariat Ordinance to prosper the Islamization and Bait-ul-Mal to help poor people. Many industries were established in 1990. But it was dropped by 4% from 1993 to 1998. And the reason was the war between PML and MQM. The conditions of Karachi were critical in those days. \n \nHe introduced new policies for the nuclear energy, scientific research centers and cooperated with the navy to make new weapons for peaceful purposes.\n\nBut an incident diminished the support of Punjab and Kashmir for Sharif. When co-operative societies gave a loan to Ittefaq Group of Industries - Sharif' steel mill. Because of the mismanagement of these societies, they went bankrupt and around 700000 lost their money. Although Sharif paid his loan afterward. But this incident badly affected the reputation of Nawaz Sharif.\n\nBut there were issues between Sharif and Ghulam Ishaq Khan, the president of Pakistan. And president tried to appoint a new prime minister with the help of Pakistan Army and tried to dissolve national assembly. But Sharif reached High Court for this issue and as a result, Sharif returned back to the power.\n\nAt last, Sharif resigned from the ministry of Pakistan under the pressure of Pakistan Army in 1993. It was the result of the disputes between Sharif and Pakistan Army.\n\n<hr>\n\n## Second term as Prime Minister (1997-1999):\n\nHe was elected as the prime minister for the second term. And Benazir Bhutto was defeated very badly in the elections of 1997. The reason was corruption. He enjoyed the popularity because people hoped that he would bring a change in the economy of the country. \n\nHe followed the nuclear policy and his purpose was to accomplish the project of nuclear power. The important decision that he took was the nuclear tests. When India executed a nuclear test two times. And after that, they started threatening Pakistan. But it was difficult to take the decision of nuclear tests due to the economic recession. But it was necessary to execute a nuclear test. Because everyone was ready and waiting for these test such as country people, Pak Army and the former prime ministers of Pakistan. It increased the popularity of the Nawaz Sharif. And he was praised. Nawaz Sharif described in PTV that these test would have executed 20 years before but due to abject poverty, it was delayed. \n\nAfter that, he extended relations with Muslim Countries, Turkey, and Europe. He signed agreements on the trading. He always believes in democracy, the relation with other countries in foreign policy. \n\nAnd after the terrorist attack on the Egypt Embassy in Islamabad, he took an initiate against terrorist attacks. Anti-terrorist Courts were established by Anti-terrorist act. Then these Courts were used by the General Pervez Musharaf to prosecute Nawaz in a hijacking case.\n\nThe relations of Sharif were friendly and cordial with the Pak Army from 1981 to 1999. Then he had severed relations with Forces when he tried to replace Pervez Musharaf with the Generals that were loyal to him in 1999. Even though he himself pointed General Pervez Musharaf as the chairman of joint chiefs of staff.\n\nAt that time Pervez Musharaf was in Sri Lanka. When he heard the news of arresting himself on the airport by police on the order of Sharif. He contacted top Pakistan Army leaders and ousted the Nawaz Sharif administration. \nAfter that everything was changed. Sharif was arrested for kidnapping, attempt to murder, corruption, and hijacking cases. The general Pervez Musharaf speeded up the trial process. And the court was near to give Sharif sentenced to death. But due to corruption, 14-year imprisonment was added. \n\nWhen Fahd king heard the news about the Sharif, he shocked. His relations were very close with the Sharif in terms of business. So when Musharaf visited the state. Fahd king showed his concern over this sentence and was feared of being situations more critical. Because it happened with the Bhutto in 1979. That was the reason, instead of imprisonment Sharif was placed in exile. And he went to Jeddah. And there he was given a loan by Saudi Government. \n\nHe established a steel mill. And he was allowed to return back to Pakistan in 2007. He returned back to Saudia after staying a few hours due to an emergency called in Pakistan. People were very happy and whistled for Sharif on arriving in Pakistan. Musharaf convinced the Saudi Government not to sent Sharif before 2008 elections. He returned back in Pakistan one day before register for elections.\n\n<hr>\n\n# Third term as Prime Minister (2013-2017):\n\nHe again was elected as the prime minister of Pakistan for the third time in the history of Pakistan. And of course the, selection criteria was voting. The successor Government did a lot of corruption and put the country at the budget deficit. That's why he has to face energy shortages, budget deficit issues, large debt, fiscal deficit, high price issues. But he faced all of these crises and has to take a loan of $6.6 billion from the international monetary fund.\n\nHe again improved the economic conditions of pakistan and executed operation Zarb-e-Qalam to influence positive effect on the people. He invested in art, poetry, and literature to bring positivity to the society. He executed operation Zarb-e-Azam that broke the structure of terrorism from the root. There were many operations in Karachi to maintain peace in society. He also invested in nuclear power and started youth initiative programs to help the youth. He gave a loan to the youngsters to start a business without any interest. He also invested money in education so that scholarships were issued for the students under the program PEEF(Pakistan Educational Endowment Fund). \n\nBut there was also criticism against Sharif. This time Imran Khan, the leader of PTI and Tahir-ul-Qadri, the leader of PAF stood against him to dissolve his government. The Pak Army was the backbone of Imran Khan in dissolving the Government of Sharif. When they were opposing the sharif and especially Imran Khan insisted him to resign. A news 'Panama Leaks' was spread which included the name of all the corrupt leaders of countries. Sharif name was also present in the Panama Papers. It was a big factor that helped politicians to change the views of people against the Sharif family. And Imran Khan picked two points against Sharif. Firstly, he claimed that 2013 elections were rigged while Sharif claimed that the elections were fair. Secondly, Panama Leaks' issue is the prominent factor that he used. Pak Army was helping the Khan backend against Sharif.\n\nAnd both Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri protested in D-Chowk of Islamabad. And it was remained for 120 days, the big gathering that longed for a long time.\n\nBut what were the people demanding?\nPeople led by Tahir-ul-Qadri were protesting to implement Shariah and to announce the death of Mumtaz Qadri a martyr.\nOther people led by Imran Khan were protesting because of the corruption of Sharif.\n\nAt last, Sharif was disqualified for life from the ministry on 20 April 2017. And again he can't complete his five years. And now he has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment in case of corruption of $300 million (according to NAB). And his daughter Maryam Nawaz was also sentenced to 7 years. His son-in-law was also sentenced to prison for 1 year. Now they are in Adiala Jail. \n\n<hr>\n\n## Conclusion:\n\nNawaz Sharif was elected as the prime minister three times. But he never completed his five years.
