      "body": "Amidst a bubbly ICO market, a question all investors should be asking themselves is which projects have long-term fundamental value? Most of the altcoins dont solve _real problems_ which is why I believe uneducated investors stand to potentially lose big sums of capital in what has become an unregulated, wild wild west ICO market. \n\nAmong the chaos, something truly innovative is happening. You probably believe (or at least, are interested in) crypto as a new asset class. Every investor and fund is looking for an edge in new assets, which are exploding (even bad traders likely doubled their money this year). For me, I believe that edge is truly anonymous cryptocurrency, one of thee killer features of crypto.  \n\nCoins like Dash ($DASH) and Monero ($XMR) have attempted to build truly anonymous coins and have attracted large amounts of capital (1+ Billion Market caps). I wont get into too much detail here, as Im focusing on Verge's strengths, but both coins have flaws, [especially Monero, which has some serious shortcomings](http://monerolink.com/monerolink.pdf). I believes these shortcomings open the door for a new privacy focused coin. Enter Verge ($XVG).\n\nVerge builds on Bitcoins original vision of privacy by using multiple anonymity-centric networks such as Tor and i2p. What the Verge team is building is just as important as who is building it. The coin with the strongest engineering team & sound technological principles is going to be the winner in truly anonymous coins. \n\nThe team at [Verge recently released a blackpaper](https://github.com/vergecurrency/Verge-Blackpaper/blob/master/Verge-Anonymity-Centric-CryptoCurrency.pdf), outlining their technology and security focus. The early progress is encouraging, and is strongly aligned with our investment thesis that believe privacy is a killer feature of crypto. Outside of the obvious focus on privacy, they are their focusing development efforts on expanding the potential user base, by building bots for Discord (40 million users) and Telegram (100 million users). Thats a pretty huge deal for Esports gaming, which is projected to be a $5 to $15 billion dollar market in the United States alone by 2020, according to Eilers & Krejcik Gaming Research.
