      "body": "ANOTHER praise report!\n\nAlmost 3 months ago an important friendship in my life was severed and it cut me deeply. I didn't want to admit to the level that it effected me but I'm sure it showed. It was hard and awkward for awhile because we frequented the same church and events and to not even be able to greet him threw me off my game.\n\nLast week I wrote down several lengthy prayers for relational restoration in my notebook with a different person in mind and my goal was to pray them every day. A few times God put this person's name in the prayer as well as the originally intended person and I begrudgingly did so.\n\nThis morning I read the chapter in The Purpose Driven Life called Restoring Broken Fellowship and one of the instructions said, \"Always take the initiative!\" I remember reading it with this particular person in mind and feeling like it would be crazy for me to do that and I WANTED it, badly, but had no plan to really take action (go me... haha. thanks Jesus!!!).\n\nThis morning I met with a leader at Upper Room to discuss unrelated things and I showed up about 20 minutes ahead of time. I walked in and went to take a glance inside the sanctuary when I noticed said friend's very distinct hair style. After that I grabbed my water bottle and headed to the restroom.\n\nWhen I came out I went to fill my water bottle at the fountain and automatically smiled and greeted the person next to me without even registering who they were (who was also refilling their water). OF COURSE IT WAS MY OLD PAL, Y'ALL!\n\n\"Oh no... I greeted him... ~awkward~,\" I thought. He asked how I'm doing and at first I said I was okay but then double-backed and told the truth: that I wasn't really feeling okay. This was the first time we had spoken in months and my flesh was scrambling to escape.\n\nI slowly inched my way away from him when he said, \"Hey...\" and waves of love and sorrow came over me and I replied, I know.\" We embraced, y'all, and I just praise God for his love for his people!!!! God answers prayers! God is for the good of his people!!! <3 My friend and I ended up talking a lot before I had to leave for a couple of interviews and I'm just so thankful for God's unending grace and his sense of humor.\n\nRestoration!!!!",

      "body": "Did you know that you can focus on the blessings of God instead of Himself? I was swamped and and overwhelmed by trying to figure what I should be 'doing' instead of acting like a human 'being'. It felt like I was a shell of a person; the unworthiness and shame came on as a slow fade and eventually consumed me. Calling out to God felt like I was talking to a brick wall and expecting a response. At my wits end I spilled my guts to a couple of trusted leaders and they gave me the tough love that I needed. A few days prior to that, a friend found me after prayer set and told me that God is removing old mindsets and at the time I didn't fully grasp that what was being removed was a victim mentality. That's a difficult but necessary truth to swallow. \n\nGod has shown me yet again that He is incredibly good and faithful. I have been hired at a restaurant a 5 minute drive from my apartment and training will likely start Thursday of next week. I'll be starting off as a host and will transition into my goal of serving! Thank you, thank you, Jesus. I'm still working for Uber, Favor and Postmates in the meantime and searching for financial assistance to help pay my rent and bills before August 2nd. Please pray that my every need will be provided for and let me know how I can pray for you! Thank you to everyone who has counseled me, listened and loved me through this.",

      "body": "Today is July 4th, 2018 which is 3 days away from my 7th month mark as a believer. In December of 2017 I was evicted from my apartment and on the 31st I moved into the room I rented from a family that I found via Craigslist. One week later I attended Upper Room Dallas with them and dedicated my life to Christ during worship. One of my prayers that I have continually lifted up during that time is asking God to increase my faith. Let me tell you to be mindful of what you pray for because if it aligns with His will, it WILL happen. In my experience, it's been terrifying but the rewards have been great. With each trial I feel like I test Him by thinking, \"This is it. This is the day that God will forget about me and my life will be in shambles. I'm going to lose my car/home/job.\" \n\nThe devastation was real. The suicidal thoughts, despair, and desperation were excruciating because I didn't trust that my God would take care of me. All of my close friends and church family witnessed that I thought I was going to end up on the street. What I didn't realize at the time is this: \n\n\"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.\" 2 Corinthians 9:8\n\nand\n\n\"Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!\" Luke 12:24\n\nGod is able AND willing! \n\n\"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.\" Matthew 6:33\n\nFor two months I lived with that family and my car broke down two weeks before I was due to move. I had barely $50 to my name and the repairs would have been at least $2,000 with no one on earth able or willing to help. After trying to handle this myself it, of course, resulted in disaster. Ladies, don't ever bother going to craigslist for help and maybe you already know this, but I didn't. I posted my ad on craigslist offering people money to take me to and from work each day and what did I get? A lost soul e-mailing me graphic porn, a man that proposed marriage and manhandled me who abandoned me in a storm that evening, and a sex-crazed guy with a foot-fetish who left me in the lurch.  Not to mention something else that happened which is too despicable to rehash. I don't like who I am and where I go when I'm without God.\n\nMy only option was to go to Him and pray. Lo and behold, without any money to put down and credit that was in the toilet, only by God's goodness was I able to get a brand new car. That happened less than one week beforemy moving date and I still hadn't found a place. I ended up moving in with a friend of a friend of a friend. That wasn't a desirable situation and my roommate was into some very ungodly activities and lifestyles. A couple of months into living together, she told me that I had until the end of August to move out. Well, God wanted me out of there sooner so she changed her mind and told me I had until the end of June. PANIC!\n\nI worried myself to tears countless times over this for no reason. God had it covered but since it wasn't visible to me yet I just couldn't believe that it was going to work out. That was me holding on to control instead of giving it to my loving Father. I have 4 cats, guys, and everyone I was contacting about possibly rooming with was allergic. People were telling me to \"get rid of them\"! Paying pet deposits also seemed impossible with 4 furry companions. With every landlord I contacted things just seemed more and more impossible. \n\nI have handled my finances very irresponsibly over the years and when I gave them over to God, he stepped in and asked me to let him handle it, so I did. I had a shopping addiction (ladies especially, have you ever gone shopping because you were stressed--but then you felt more stressed because you went shopping?) and God finally shut that card down completely since I was having trouble canceling subscriptions on my own. A week before my move-out date, somebody reached out to me because God put it on their heart to give me $2,000 from their own savings to assist me in my move. That in itself is remarkable and here I am two weeks later still in shock! I had a feeling that God wanted me to live alone in this season after having one challenging roommate after another. He honored my request for alone time with Him. He did all of this, not me. \n\nThe day before my car insurance was due last month he put it on someone's heart to reach out to me and generously give. Bam--covered! Just another case of pointless worry. \n\n\"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.\" \nMatthew 6:34\n\n I moved into my new apartment this week in central Dallas (my desired location--imagine that) and he had provided strong men to help me move, assist in driving a giant uHaul truck, but--oh no--what's this? My car payment was due two days ago and I was semi-freaked out because after the move I was d-r-a-i-n-e-d financially, emotionally, physically, and in every other way you can think of. Two to three weeks ago I was confessing all of my stresses over the move with my sisters in Christ and God had put it on their hearts to generously extend offerings to me which I had set it aside in my purse. This last Sunday a mostly different group of pals told me they were going to Eatzi's after church and I was welcome to come along, so I did. \n\nI was pretty tired and not feeling all that great and was planning to just head home when one of the guys asked if he could pray for me. Then, unexpectedly (I mean, when has anything been expected lately?), he said he felt like God wanted to bless me financially so, again, people came together in the name of the Lord to help a sister out. I was shocked, pleasantly surprised, and feeling extremely grateful and blessed. The next day when my payment was due I gathered all of the money together, added it to the $404 already in my account, plus a random $45 check I had received in the mail and, guys... Let me tell you that it was enough to pay my $608 car payment with about $200 leftover for the week. BLESS BLESS BLESS! \n\nThings are still very tight financially but my prayers to God to increase my faith have been answered over and over again. \n\n\"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.       "body": "I'm not sure I've really shared this too publicly yet but I've gotta.\n\nJESUS IS OUR HEALER! \n\nI believe this truth wholeheartedly as it's happened to me many times now. By far, the most monumental healing Jesus has done for me (aside from restoring my heart/soul/spirit) is this: At the Power and Love conference in April, I was fully healed mentally and physically. Allow me to share my experience with you.\n\nI had suffered from chronic pain for 17 years from the ages of 13-30. That's a long time! I was convinced that my pain was normal and everyone felt this way but for some reason I couldn't handle it as well. Fatigue plagued me constantly and I suffered under the diagnoses of bipolar II, generalized anxiety disorder and depression (and several others that were off the mark) and have been on medications since the age of 4. I also took heavy duty sleeping pills for 15 years. I had fully accepted that I would have to take these medications until death.\n\nOf course, these medications had plenty of side-effects but I knew that I was better of with them than without. The anger I felt was uncontrollable and it had been that way since I was a child. Once a doctor had put me on a med-cocktail that mixed well in my mid-twenties, I had calmed down a lot as long as I took them consistently. If, for some reason, I had forgotten to take my medication in the morning, a debilitating headache would come on by noon; every time, like clockwork. \n\nMy physical pain began to aggressively increase a month and a half leading up to the Power & Love conference. Previously, it was mostly intense join pain that occurred at seemingly random, but regular, intervals. It was tolerable and I could live with it; after all, hadn't I already done so for nearly 2 decades? Not this time, no. It started on the top right of my right foot and spread to my other foot, my toes, calves, worsening knee pain, and ventured up to my wrists and fingers. \n\nThere was a moment where I cried at work because I couldn't even open a tube of lip gloss. I couldn't walk without agonizing pain; not even throughout a grocery store. I was scared and baffled which led me to make an appointment with a rheumatologist but they weren't able to schedule me for 3 weeks. That was an eternity in Courtney time. My primary care doctor prescribed  Tramadol 3x daily just so I could get around with minimized pain levels. \n\nThat should give you an idea of what I was dealing with. Anyway, I was hobbling around at this conference and after my first group outreach session, my group prayed healing over me and then they asked me to \"test it out,\" where I did something I've never been able to do without excruciating pain. I RAN! Up and down the sidewalk, jumping off the curbs, dancing, jumping, and twirling with joy! I can't accurately describe how FREE and ABLE I felt! THANK YOU, JESUS! I gleefully shared my testimony and spent the rest of day learning about what it meant to be healed. Of course I had my doubts. Is this real?! What if it comes back!? That's where faith comes in and He showed that to me.\n\n I'd been very careful with my mental health medication regimen for years and hardly ever forgot to take my pills on time. The next day at the conference went by joyfully well into the afternoon until a thought popped into my head, \"Did I forget to take my medication today?!\" I seriously thought about it and tried to remember taking them over the next few hours and came to the conclusion that I just hadn't done it that day... and yet I was in heaven. Usually a crippling headache would have appeared in the early afternoon as a big neon WARNING! sign that I had, in fact, forgotten my meds. It never came. \n\nThe headaches never came over next week as I decided to \"test\" it, to see if God really had healed me of this affliction, by skipping my medication. One day on, one day off. Skip three days in a row, take them for two days. I have been off of any mediation relating to anxiety, bipolar and mood stabilization for almost 2 months now. I received prayer over nightmares and restful sleep and have been completely off off my sleeping pills for 3 weeks. Guys, the impossible is POSSIBLE with Him! I promise because I HAVE BEEN THERE! \n\nThank you for reading my testimony. I hope you are encouraged and I'm here if you want to know more.",

Prophets are commissioned, sent by royal command. Prophets are ambassadors, speaking and acting on behalf of a peculiar nation not belonging to this world. They are seldom welcomed, at least not by the undisciplined, disobedient crowd. He is certainly recognised, but rarely accepted. To label him a recognised prophet is to disarm him and lock him into the system that he is sent to confront (Lars Widerburg - The Forthtellers).\n\nCalling comes from God, but it will also be confirmed and encouraged by other Christians. It is called preparation, as the Lord puts our call on the shelf and deals with who we are as people. During this \"in the ground\" time, the reality of the call leaves us for a time. Therefore, when suddenly someone begins to restate our call prophetically, it may be the time when the Lord is opening doors and making things happen (Graeme Cooke Developing your Prophetic Ministry p. 202).\n\nThose with a prophetic calling must be prepared to pay the price. It is not just at the end, but all throughout in a special experience in humiliation and self-deprivation, which is uniquely known to prophets (Art Katz The Heart of a Prophet).\n\nYoung prophets should be careful about sharing the words of confirmation that the Lord has given about their calling to the prophetic ministry. Most people will see this as boasting. They should only share these words with those who are close and who will understand them. The Lord gives these words to encourage the prophet, not to authenticate their ministry.\n\nProphetic people should avoid saying, \"I am a Prophet\", as it makes them sound arrogant. If you are a prophet, God will authenticate your ministry by fulfilling your words, as he did with Samuel (1 Sam 3).. It is better to wait and let the people say, \"He is a prophet\", because they see your words are witnessed and fulfilled by the Holy Spirit.\n\nGen 49:8-9: The Lion of Judah, a strong fighter against the enemy.\n\nYesterday was the last day of the Upper Room Conference 2018. As Todd White was calling people to the altar, I felt great annoyance as my attitude shifted. There was no reason for this shift either, at least none that was apparent to me. As the volunteer merch team was preparing to disperse, I received a message from roommate about how she's observed me making unwise financial decisions (this is very true, and the Lord is doing a complete overhaul of my finances), I'm messy (also true; I'm working a lot of OT which makes it difficult for me to find the time to clean and organize daily), and she wants things back in order. Instead of September 1st being the original move-out date, she found it okay to give me until the end of June. \n\nWhen I read this, my heart jumped into my throat and the spirit of anxiety choked me. I found someone to talk it over with and who prayed for me. She then advised me to head back into the sanctuary at Christ for the Nations Institute to break any and all contractual agreements, ask for forgiveness from the Lord, and I'm sure other things that I was too far far gone to remember. After that I still felt attacked, miserable and that it would just be easier to give up. I went upstairs to the volunteer room and started to play the piano to my Father and fight off the spirit of death.       "body": "In my previous post I wrote about my testimony and what brought me to Jesus. God has conquered my heart in such a powerful way that there is nothing in this world would make me return to my previous ways. Now that's not to say that I don't sin because that's what I am: a sinner. God's unrivaled love for me, He who sent His only Son to die for ME, has washed away my sins by the blood of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge my sins and call to Him to repent as I lay them down at His feet. \n\nAt this time, I was feeling desperate about finding a place to live when about a month ago, my paid off car broke down and by the help of a friend we towed it in to the shop and they gave me an estimate of at least $2,000 to fix. Already in a pit of financial destitution I barely had funds to survive on, much less to put forward on a costly auto repair. I was at a loss, riddled with fear and anxiety at what the future held before me.  \"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.\" Proverbs 31:25 is where I should be been and yet I was shackled by the lies of the enemy. \n\nI had a few friends offer to take me to places I needed to go but they have their own jobs and lives that don't revolve around me and my needs. So off I went to Craigslist to post ads in the rideshare section which in hindsight was a horrible idea but at the time I felt desperate. I had posted a photo of myself attached to the ad to assure my potential driver that I am not an axe-wielding murderer but instead I received countless sexual propositions, some lost soul who thought sending me hardcore porn would be a great idea, and lots of empty promises. First, there was Foot Guy, who offered to drive me to and from work for $200/month but he had an extreme foot fetish. He became increasingly persistent and I ended that pretty quickly. Then there were two other separate men who promised to do the same except they were both liars and left me stranded; one left me for two hours in the pouring rain. \n\nNeedless to say, I was miserable, worried, and generally a frazzled mess. Once again I was at my rock bottom without any hope and then it hit me that Jesus is my hope! I prayed endlessly and eventually, with my bad credit, and no money down, by the grace of God and his mercy, I was provided with a brand new vehicle. I came to work the next day and when my coworker asked me how I was able to achieve this, my answer was, \"Jesus!\" He asked again and I raised my hands to the sky and said, \"JESUS!\" \n\nWhen everything feels impossible, \"I can do all this through him who gives me strength.\" Philippians 4:13\n\nAmen!",
