She was so dedicated to the service of the Lord to the extent that she often speaks openly against anything that negates God’s desires. In pursuing her desire to serve God wholeheartedly, she joined her Church Choir alongside another devoted youth called Tunde. Both of them started developing special interest for one another. There seems not to be any problem at first because their meetings do not exclude others, in prayer sessions and other basic spiritual activities. Their communications and interactions were not threatened by any sudden appearance of any authority figure (parents/adults).However, a time came when Gbemisola started noticing changes in Tunde’s feelings and visitation timing. Having known the movement of her parents, he would visit only when he is sure her parents won’t be at home. On one of those occasions when her parents were not around, Tunde requested for a special relationship officially with a strong promise that it will never involve sex. Gbemisola, shocked at his request, exclaimed, ‘What did you just say!’\n>**THE STRUGGLES AMONG YOUTHS:** \nThe above story summarizes the struggle among Christian youths today. It appears practicing Love the correct way is becoming impossible in this generation without the contamination of lust in-between. Therefore, we shall attempt to give practical definition to these two terms. We shall also attempt to differentiate the two terms and provide practical steps to effective practice of love without the evil of Lust. \n**FACTS ABOUT LOVE AND LUST** \nLove and Lust are key factors in relationships. Both cannot be fully practiced without inter-personal relationship. In fact, it is in relationship that both concepts are seen. The definition of love is best described in 1 Cor. 13: 4 – 6, where core characteristics of love were stated \n***“…Love is very patient and kind, never jealous and envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not grudge …”***\nTLB Version. These characteristics of love as quoted above appears to be the exact opposite of the characteristics of Lust as described in the story of Amnon and Tamar in 2 Sam 13:1–18. Amnon, rather than being patient and reasonable as love requires, he allowed himself to be tormented by his so called love (which was actually lust) towards his half-sister. (See vs 1) It was so bad that he fell sick. To proof that it was actually Lust and not Love as written in the story, as soon as he satisfied his sexual desires which is the desired end product of lust, he hated Tamar more than he ever loved her (See Vs 15). From the above, it is clear that Love is a godly and selfless affection that seek the good of the other person. Lust on the other hand, is rooted in selfish and godless affection with the intention to satisfy only self and endanger the other. \n\n>**WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOVE AND LUST?:**\nWe shall consider this under the following sub-heads namely – their Roots, Characteristics and End - Product. \n Love and lust take their roots from different sources. While Love has its root in God, Lust on the other hand has its root in the carnal desires of the flesh championed by the devil. Bible says, God is Love. (1John 4:8). We cannot therefore define or practice love without God. On the other hand, lust is counterfeit of love initiated by the devil to deceive. It is usually an uncontrollable desire to have ones way by all means. \n Love is gentle, does not envy other people’s possession or attempt to forcefully collect what does not belong to him/her. Lust on the other hand, is forceful and cruel in nature. At best, lust is hypocritical in such a way that the victim of its dangerous passion is deceived to believe a lie. \nLove produces peace and joy, while lust leads to pains and eventual death.\n                  >**LOVE GUIDE:**\nTo efectively practice love without lust follow these guidelines: \n\n1. Maintain all round purity in your relationships. Col 3: 5\n\n2. Be sincere to yourself and firmly react when a good relationship is developing evil tendencies. Gen 39: 7-12\n\n3. Be bold and firm against lustful request- always say NO to casual sex. Titus 2: 11-12\n\n4. Set realistic boundaries for yourself; decide your 'must-not’s in every relationship: Job. 31:1;2 Cor. 10: 13 \n\n5. Keep God in every relationship. John 15:5\n\n6. Don’t be careless in your decisions on visitations. Gen 34: 1 – 2. It may be disastrous.",

We were all born with infinite possibilities for our brain, at birth no brain is superior to the other; the white man's brain isn't superior to the black man's and vice versa. The only difference is how the brain is used; what it is fed with, what it is exposed to and the level of rigorous mental exercise it is subjected to. \n\nThe human physiological makeup is the same; the red blood cells carry oxygen to the brain and other regions of the human body. God in his infinite mercy created the human race and proclaimed that his creation was very good. \n\nHowever, He made room for the human race to grow, occupy their environment and progress as they are willing to develop themselves, think and create things that will make life easier. \nThe problem then started when some chose to develop through learning, coaching, training, communicating, consultancy amongst a host of other  educational pursuit, and the majority made a decision to destroy themselves by indulging in a quest for pleasure, instead of finding ways to develop themselves.\n\nThe questions then are: \n_**What is Personal Development?**_\n_**How can I plan for my Personal Development?**_\n_**Through what means can I achieve Personal Development?**_\n_**What are the benefits of Personal Development?**_\n_**What are the expected results?**_\n\nPersonal Development is said to be a lifelong process that enables one access the skills, qualities, and character trait  needed to achieve set goals and attain success in life. Personal development aims at maximizing ones potentials and gifts to the fullest.\nIt is a process which ensures that one is deliberate in discovering qualities, talents and potentials and  developing them in order to enhance the quality of one’s life, dreams and aspirations. In developing self, the individual deliberately creates a plan based on values, reflection and goals that the individual has set.\n\n_The benefits of Personal Development are enormous._ \nFirst and Foremost, it helps the individual to stay focused. The individual becomes a better learner, builds on areas of strength and makes up for weaknesses. Practically speaking, in order to reach and achieve goals in life, one needs to appraise one's visions, passions, purpose as these acts as the motivating factors. \nFor instance, a child from an idolatrous background may say _**“Never Again is Now.”**_ By implication, goodbye to idol worship. Deliberately, he/she decides to give his/ her life to Christ and cut off from all that pertains to idol worship, attends church services, fellowship meetings, prays, reads his/her Bible and ends up marrying a Christian and raising godly children. \n\nThe individual in repentance outlines possible challenges, things and places to avoid, new friends to make etc. In setting goals, the individual sets to check intermittently future adjustments needed. The same goes for people from poor and low academic background. History abounds where the son of a labourer eventually becomes a Medical Doctor, Professor etc. All these were possible because they set a path for themselves,  were focused and worked at it, till they got there. \nLearning or Academic Programmes have been noted as a veritable instrument in helping people plan for their growth. These can be formal, informal, full time or part time. If you've taken to soaking your pillows with tears in the loneliness of the night, consumed with worry, the worry of how to meet those pressing needs of yours. Come on! Wipe those tears off, banish fear, hopelessness and worry from your heart, jack yourself up before you're driven to do something dangerous to your life and destiny.\n\nFriends, don't just sit there, what job are you looking for? while others are mining gold and silver by just a click of the mouse. Many others are either underemployed or lack the satisfaction that comes from having a job and the government; they care not for citizens, they'd rather dodge their responsibilities and pass the blame to citizens calling them names instead of proffering lasting solutions to the problem of unemployment. So, must you sit down there till you die? God forbid! Looking at the unstable economy of the country; Nigeria, you have to let go of pride in your life and use your hands, you might feel it's beneath you, but with diligence and persistence you'll get success and God will prosper it, if you trust Him.\n\n**A** lot of people are tapping into the creative part of their brain and are using it to perform wonders in different fields of endeavor. One of such is the social media platform; steemit, a lot of people are utilizing the opportunities the platform offers to keep their lives moving so comfortably without having to sit in offices under white collar jobs and they make their own decisions as regards work.\n\nPut your Trust in God who rules over the economy and the affairs of men. God is the owner of all businesses, all the government of this world, the people, and everything the world. The Bible says;\n  >   _**\"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it\" (Psalm 24:1).**_\n\n**I**magine letting go of a little branch in a storm and grabbing onto the trunk of a huge oak tree instead. That is what it means to put your trust in God who rules over the economies instead of trusting in the economy itself. **Jacob** in the Bible was a man who did that very well. During a severe famine, God provided abundantly and sufficiently for Jacob, because he trusted in Him.
