Not likely.\n\nAs the Chinese virus spread round our world darn near everyone hungered for information. The public desperately wanted news so they might better understand this new thing called coronavirus.\n\nWith stunning speed, thousands lost their jobs. Schools closing left parents scrambling to keep kids occupied. New terms entered our lexicon: N95 and PPE; two-weeks to flatten the curve soon became lockdown.\n\nWith blinding speed, Bill Gates’ World Health Organization aided by coed politicians rushed to lower a cone of tyranny over the world. Soon, for many of us everything about the global uniform reaction to the Wuhan flu took on an increasingly dystopian appearance.\n\nWe saw just how fast unelected local health experts readily parroted the WHO narrative. Legacy-media fell in line as local politicians rolled out daily briefings, stern faced. Everyone got on the same page almost overnight and with exception (Sweden), there was no political push-back. \n\nAlmost as fast, alternative theories sprung up. Plandemic and scamdemic soon populated social media. Just as fast, Big Tech stepped up online censorship.\n\nA lot of people quickly pointed out that for the WHO, controlling the message is now job-one. Same for governments and their partners among the web unelected technocratic organizations.\n\nOn March 11the WHO declared the outbreak of the new coronavirus a pandemic.\n\nWhile all this is going on another group couldn’t get in on the action fast enough. Towards the end of March a Hub of the GSC arranged with WHO-Europe to hold several meetings to exchange information about the Corona pandemic.\n\n“In times of crisis it sometimes feels paralyzing,” points out Derya Vollings, Communications Officer for the Copenhagen Global Shapers hub. “Knowing you can take action and feeling like you are contributing is important.”\n\nOrganized by Global Shapers Copenhagen, sessions were scheduled with WHO-Europe. These were to facilitate “regular WHO-hosted webinars” to ensure Shapers have “accurate, timely information” and for the WHO “to listen to the real concerns of youth in the Region”.\n\nEnsuring Shapers have the talking points to repeat and enforce across social media is entirely about message control. The WHO states, ““Shapers” also publish social media posts on their networks with information addressing the rumours (sic) they find through the Facebook group.”” (source)\n\n“It felt like the youth had a lot of doubts and questions about COVID-19. We wanted to help by creating a platform that would directly put experts and young people in touch.”\n\nAbout this same time, around mid-March pandemic resource guides went up on GS Hub websites. The category tag Covid-19 being appended to some 157 projects.\n\nCoordinating with WHO-Europe allowed officials to speak directly to “highly educated and socially driven individuals” of the GSC across Europe and Eurasia. The plan is to get every Shaper focused. With these “influencers and role models (i.e. Shapers),” technocrats’ messaging is able to better flood the zone. \n\nA goal of this GSC-WHO action was to target 100 000 individuals with WHO-sourced information about COVID-19 by the end of May. In April social media posts had already reached some 12 000 people “to fight rumours on social media.” See what’s going on here?\n\n“We’re not just fighting an epidemic; we’re fighting an infodemic,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus\nWhat’s better than having a standing army of influencers sharing World Health talking points? This community is able to share basic protective measures and launch “campaigns to fight xenophobia and misinformation.” Huh? Xeno-what? (That’s a whole other rabbit hole for another time, maybe.)\n\nNo surprise then to learn that this GS collaboration allows WHO-Europe “access to a Facebook group where members from all over the Region post rumours they encounter, report on the mood or tone of discussions on their channels (emphasis added)”.\n\nThis allows WHO-Europe opportunity to review postings to then “better tailor its risk communication” sharing those concerns with the Mythbusters team at WHO headquarters.\n\nUnder the aegis of the World Economic Forum (WEF) GSC was formed to capture youth in service of advancing sustainable development, or technocracy. Journalists and a young pregnant woman are arrested for respectively, reporting on an anti lockdown rally and a Facebook post concerning a park meet up.\n\nIn America a mom is tased for refusing to mask-up.\n\nSure, it’s important to try and understand just what we’re seeing, asking why are governments so quick to steal away our freedoms, and who is calling the shots. At the same time, we must look into the not so visible web of control.\n\nThe WEF and the UN want to destroy capitalism, end private property ownership, to create a new order, the Fourth Industrial Revolution. These Global Shapers are cogs in the technocratic machine.\n\nWith the Global Shapers Community, Klaus Schwab has built an army of well-educated influencers and role models. \n\nThey march as a virus, spreading the good word of community, tolerance and cooperation. Is this an accurate declaration or is it rather, um, fuzzy? This is Part 6 of the series exploring the GSC, if you want some background before reading this article you will find Part 1 at DailyRasp.com.\n\n\nDiverse Membership\n\nThe GSC calls itself diverse and is mandated by Charter to be so. Upon closer look, it appears that member selection comes from a rather narrow group. The group norm for the most part means attending top-level universities (not vocational colleges). That’s not a diverse group.\n\nA scan of careers reveals a partiality for Banking, Engineering, Health, Data, and Law as favorite sectors from which to pluck comrades. There is a dearth of plumbers, carpenters, or mechanics. Again, not diverse.\n\nSelf-Organized\n\nOn the element of self-organized, established rules mean Hubs must reflect the flavor of their local community. Given this rule, Hubs can organize only to the degree that the group walks the line on PC quotas (which apparently don’t favor tradespeople).\n\n“The World Economic Forum’s mission statement says, “We believe that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to make positive change.”\n\nSelf-selection\n\nRegarding self-selection, it is my view that potential member-candidates be they students or young professionals are tapped to apply. This may come about by way of networking but may happen only with approval of a Hub Curator.\nTherefore, it is difficult to believe that applications, while made voluntarily, are something impulsive or happen by way of happy accident.\n\nAccording to the Charter, Hubs must follow directions of the Global Shapers Team in Geneva. The organizing process cannot be in practice anything other than politically correct.\n\nDecentralized and Digitally Connected\n\nIt is fair to say the GSC is probably as decentralized as any modern organization. Decentralization is a convenience of our prosperous civilization.\n\nFar from being a negative, decentralization just makes sense. In the age of Covid hysteria, we have discovered many functions can be fulfilled remotely, often surprisingly so. Hard to expect massive globalist organizations to be any different.\n\nWell, there is one difference. Have you ever heard of Toplink the exclusive platform of the World Economic Forum? Members of the GSC connect through Toplink with functions similar to major social platforms. I’ll invoke George Carlin here to repeat, “It’s a club and you’re not in it!”\n\nNon-Political\n\nThe claim to being non-political absurd. All GS activity must align with objectives of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF is seeking to impose a worldwide technocratic bureaucracy.\n\nProjects\n\nEven a cursory look at the shaper projects and events supported by shapers reveals the repetition of the narrow focus that we see in membership. Projects are built around the standard list of progressive narratives. The same narratives echoed by Angela Merkel, the UN, and WEF. These mesh with desperate pleas for “access to education” which pivots on the manufactured outrage of gender-inequality. All of which is to open the door to funding demands for Girls in STEM (a basic search shows less results when it comes to boys in STEM versus girls) because, muh patriarchy.\n\nNot to be left out, there are organized efforts to adjust voting behavior among “youth” and “under-represented groups.” Yes, they do cover all of the mandatory pc bases.\n\nAs a measure, I ran four searches for “global shapers” along with one of the keywords listed below.\n\n•\tClimate https://archive.vn/gY3oE\n•\tEducation https://archive.vn/3JbjZ\n•\tGender https://archive.vn/XLWkb\n•\tVoting https://archive.vn/DOTjn\n\nCommunity, volunteer and professional activity is often connected to youth, youth education, youth and social media, youth and tech or STEM educational initiatives. Looking at campaigns and events it is obvious what is going on.\n\nSummary\n\n•\tHub members in their day-to-day professional-social universe are a league of one-percenters.\n•\tCampaigns aim to bring less educated, less mobile, less aware youth to manifest the UN SDGs.\n•\tDragging kids from school to scream in the streets that the planet is dying will elicit plenty of stories from a friendly        MSM.\n•\tCampaigns often span across regions or countries. They may use hashtags to raise awareness. For example, #ShapingTheVote and #Internet4All.\n\nThe UN is working daily to seize ever-greater power and control, seeking to welcome itself as the Global government. \n\nThe WEF is in league with the UN to create the all encompassing technocratic society of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.\nGlobal Shapers must advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda. This is Part 5 in the series. If you want to catch up, start with Part 1 here, otherwise, read on.\n\nIn Part 5 I’ll take a tour through the claim to grassroots attempting to suss out academic and professional experience of several Hub members. The cumulative total of that experience is what gets each person accepted into the GS—well, that and the immutable characteristics of race and gender. All Hubs are mandated by Geneva to reflect the local community. At any rate, looking at these factors will, in my view, help get a handle on the validity of the claim of being a “grassroots” network.\n\nOf the 430-odd Hubs worldwide, this article will look at just one: London, UK. Several hours of researching, compiling data from publically available sources and making connections to outside groups; employers, professional organizations, nonprofits, etc.\n\nThe whole point of the exercise is to show the power of a Hub—this isn’t your kids 4-H chapter—and how Hubs seek to shape local and global narratives. Combined these things tell us a lot about the philosophy, values, focus, and direction the global shaping as it were, is trending.\n\nReferring to the list below you’ll see a range of organizations which vary widely in their main focus. What is not found in my research is anything to do with trades; carpentry, mechanics or similar. (One can’t help but come away with the impression these people never risk getting grime under the nails.)\n\n•\tBrookings Institute\n•\tBritish Youth Council           \n•\tBritish Council Org.  \n•\tCambridge                 \n•\tDurham          \n•\tEuropean Commission          \n•\tInternational Telecommunication Union (ITU)       \n•\tLocal Govt. Assoc. (UK)\n•\tLondon School of Economics\n•\tLSE Council\n•\tNational Social Center for High Impact Philanthropy\n•\tNewcastle\n•\tOperation Moonshot\n•\tOxbridge\n•\tOxford\n\nReading again the list above it is quite clear we’re not looking at small town chambers of commerce. Keep in mind the table is not a full accounting for what is an impressive reach for just only a few of the members currently listed in the Hub.\n\nWhat did my digging uncover? Well, there is biotech, AI, finance, health, science, and government. There is education and youth, along with STEM. Oh, and Al Gore is here too. No surprise that among the GSC climate crisis advocacy is a priority. (I’ll write about the Climate Reality Project aspect connections in an upcoming article.)\n\nThe types of business relationships found consist of financial, health, education, tech, AI, robotics, facial recognition, environment, chemistry, media, and government. In addition, there is active engagement with activism the previously mentioned Climate Reality Project and Extinction Rebellion. Recall the Friday climate protests, teachers dragging kids into the street. There is also a lot of “founding” of youth focused nonprofits. Seems everyone is founding a nonprofit. Generally, and not exclusive of this Hub, majority of the nonprofits I’ve looked into are presented as education-centered focusing on youth, women and girls and “underrepresented voices.”\n\nWithin all of this, there are not infrequent references to STEM, but in context of how women and girls are underrepresented. A wrong, which must be righted, they declare! The oft repeated words: sustainability; diversity; values; inclusion are scattered throughout corporate and nonprofit messaging thrown-up for public consumption.\nNevertheless, beneath it lay the heart of the real collective beast, the single agenda unto which all else must bow: the Fourth Industrial Revolution. After all Klaus Schwab is boss.\n\nWithout fail, one consistency is commitment to advancing the full slate of global goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development agenda. Looking into these projects will help identify in clearer terms not just a general thematic focus of the GS Community, but shows the very narrow bandwidth as it were within which the GSC operates.\n\nWith that in mind, I will point out projects selected randomly, in London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and NYC.\nNow, projects can be an event, report or campaign. Some projects are robust and operational for some time. Others are nothing more than little used hashtags.\n\nLooking at the webpage of a GS Hub in the UK highlights that projects can be “anything” and that is borne out by my readings. Here’s what the London Hub posted:\n\n“(…) Projects can be anything from an event, to a report, to a campaign. Some projects are coordinated within a single Hub, whereas others can be pan-Hub projects, sometimes drawing together Shapers from across the globe.”\n\nLondon, UK 2017/18 Project: The Future of Politics\n\n“The Fourth Group … held their first global gathering to discuss the future of politics worldwide, in the context of the fourth industrial revolution. The conference covered the intersection between politics and technology, and saw an amazing array of thought-leaders in this space attend.” https://archive.vn/SkBHw\n\nLos Angeles, CA Project: Defining the Next Decade\n“Defining The Next Decade is a conversational series and project started by the Los Angeles hub and now lead by Global Shapers around the world. We’re sharing the stories and ideas of individuals who are making a difference in their communities. By establishing conversations with those who are already creating change, we’re leveraging communities to make the exponential impact.” https://archive.vn/JBFp0\n\nAmsterdam Project: Havedinners\n“The Amsterdam Hub is working to advance refugee integration in The Netherlands by connecting refugees with locals and encouraging learning and understanding. Every Monday since November 2015, the hub introduces 100 refugees to 20 locals in Amsterdam, during a fun dinner and dance evening.”\n\nWeekly dinners so asylum center refugees mix with locals\n\n“Weekly dinners (and dances) with refugees to give them a getaway from asylum centers and mix with locals – celebrating already the 175th edition!” https://archive.vn/g97Gu\n\nNote the generous 5:1 ratio refugees to locals of the Havedinners project. Why not 100 locals and 20 refugees? The point, as I see it, couldn’t be clearer: signaling locals that resistance to the overtaking of their society is futile. The entire point is to educate to accept migration, the local citizenry.\n\nNew York, NY & Beijing China Project: Promoting COVID-19 Global Solidarity\n\n“During these unprecedented times, more than ever before, we need solidarity, hope and collaboration to see the COVID-19 crisis through together. Global Shapers Community provides a shared platform for Shapers to communicate and collaborate.”\n\n“New York Hub and Beijing Hub are coming together to lead the Shapers Connect Project, an online cross-Hub webinar series that encourages Shapers from various Hubs across the world to share their experience responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the best practices of their Hub engagement.” https://archive.vn/xJirl\n\nYou see that. In April while locked down, working from home, suddenly unemployed smart GS people of NYC teamed up with their counterparts in China. To promote global solidarity!\n\nRemember, every project undertaken must align with the objectives of the mothership aka the WEF. These people knew cozying up to Beijing would be a much smarter move than helping say, NYC restaurant workers. I know, this event or project is basically a Zoom meeting, but still, it’s the ideology revealed. Here’s how they posted that April 11th event on their web:\n\nA Tale of Two Cities: Conversation with Shapers from New York and Beijing about Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic and Promoting Solidarity\n\nHowever, that wasn’t enough China-love for them. Nope. Days later, April 15, this same Hub doubled down with The Caribbean & China In The Time of COVID-19.\n\nDo not imagine organizers naïve as regards the devastation of Covid-19 with the resulting shutdown of the economy. Far from it. The majority of Community members understand better than most the economic zeitgeist; these aren’t pothead college kids.\n\nAs to that previously mentioned narrow bandwidth. You see it in how all projects lean toward social justice, open borders, and in general, all things globalists advocate. Theses are clothed in the usual platitudes of diversity and inclusion. There’s a  lot of gaslighting involved.\n\nThe idea of GSC events as genuine grassroots is inane. Everything must serve the mothership in Geneva. Globalists’ goals will be obtained only through disruption. Civilizational change requires breaking down Western society’s ideas and norms, to usher in a new age. To install the next revolution. Now, let’s get into Part 3.\n\nProjects are the lifeblood of GSC Hubs, which may have multiple ongoing projects.\n\nBroadly speaking there are two categories of project:\n\n1. Projects developed based on the local context where a Hub is operational and;\n2. Projects developed and imposed through the Global Shapers Community Foundation (GSCF) and managed by the Global Shapers Team (GST) from the Geneva headquarters of the WEF.\n\nAccording to the Charter, all GSC activities embody three (3) pillars:\n1. Interaction\n2. Insight\n3. Impact\n\nOutside of the Hub, interactions must include “relevant local or global stakeholders.” This is partly how the GSC along with the WEF creates value relevant at the local, regional and global level. In addition, projects need to align with core objectives of the WEF. Are you picking up a cult vibe?\n\nMembers are held to strict timelines. Projects must forward with each member participating in at least one local project and one global activity yearly.\n\nThere are many projects ongoing across hundreds of Hubs. Keep in mind; I am barely scratching the surface. The goal here is to look to see if there is among Hubs similar project themes across different cities.\n\nWhat kinds of projects do Hubs undertake?\n\nWho is the project audience or audiences?\n\nUnder the rubric of Civic Participation, the GSC seems to promote civil unrest. Here is their page blurb:\n“Organized protests and popular unrest involving a diverse cross-section of society are taking place in all corners of the world. Increasingly, citizens are demanding change and are even influencing decision-making processes through this form of collective action.” Source: https://archive.vn/3unKH\n\nThose words have a pretty strong social-justice ring to them. Mmm. Speaking of social-justice below are Hub projects in several countries. Perhaps there is a theme here.\n\nLos Angeles Project: Ballot View\nLos Angeles Hub developed an award-winning app to increase voter turnout in the 2016 US election. The free and non-partisan app allowed voters to preview their state’s local ballot and learn more about candidates in the running.” Source: https://archive.vn/AkhXb\n\nMunich Project: VoteSwiper App\n“The VoteSwiper App is a phone application that helps people in their decision making process for the upcoming European Elections 2019, and hence aims to increase voter participation in all 27 European Union member states.” Don’t apps cost money to create and distribute, to encourage your audience to not just download but to use as well. (VoteSwiper.org site: https://archive.vn/zzDbj)\n\n Featuring questions around political, current and election-related topics, users simply answer “Yes” or “No” to around 30 questions before their answers are compared with the position of the running parties. The results show approval ratings for the different parties and where the user sides most. In addition to the user’s individual results, they can view detailed responses from each party to all of the questions asked.\n\nThe Munich Hub goal of this project is to help people choose which party they should vote for in the European Parliament elections 2019. By providing easy and fun access to this information, the hub is aiming to raise voter turnout in all participating European Union member countries. The pilot phase has already seen more than 500,000 downloads and active users. In this way, citizens will be able to demand collective, efficient and sustainable public policies. The Let’s Vote Project (that has been consistently implemented since 2014), has carried out different online and offline actions, such as social media advocacy campaigns and informative events in the most concurred and popular malls in San Salvador.\n\nThe hub seeks to position the Let’s Vote! project as one of the most important and reliable electoral projects in the country. Success will be measured by the number of citizens the hub is able to reach through various activities.” (Let’s Vote!) This year, the millennial voter demographic was the largest of all age groups and also predicted to be the most disengaged. We knew we had to do something so we worked together to host a 3 part project focused on youth voter engagement titled #UseYourVote. Source: https://archive.vn/VrpoV\n\nGlobal News ran an article on this event quoting the organizer, “I think as a young person and a future home owner, I’m really concerned about the impacts of flooding in my basement,” Source: https://archive.vn/pl2HW  Call me skeptical, but I see this as spinning the event, to give it a grassroots feel. I guess you’d have to look closer at the organizers closer for a hint (but that’s outside this articles focus).\n\nProjects in Germany, El Salvador, Toronto, Los Angeles, and more are intent on getting young people to vote. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) Nevertheless, it is not simply about get people to vote. No, it’s broader than that. Such projects seek to school certain demographics toward outcomes which long-term (e.g. across several election cycles including local, regional, and federal) tilt in favor of objectives favorable to the WEF. For the GSC these project activities fulfill on of their 3 pillars: Impact.\n\nEven for the casual observer there should be no difficulty seeing such thematic focus as anything but grassroots volunteerism. The few examples I’ve included above have Klaus Schwab’s fingerprints all over them. Such organized international programs coordinated as they appear are likely top-down WEF programming straight out of Geneva.\n\nPart 4 to follow. You can read my previous article here.\n\nMembers of the Global Shapers Community are fond of declarative statements:  “Today’s youth are the best equipped to change the world and no one believes this more than we do.” Imagine my surprise upon learning youth believe they are ones with all the answers.\n\nExcept it is adults saying this, and they are saying it to the younger people.\n\n“What is it like to build a community that is non-political, self-selected and self-organized around issues facing the globe?”\n\nBut wait, there’s more: “Youth were disgruntled by their unrealized voice on issues shaping their future and youth have the ability to band together to force meaningful change. The conclusion — we are deserving of a seat at the table, to be apart of the decisions that affect our lives.”\n\nAll while that sounds rather hyperbolic even uninformed but to its intended audience it’s both sales pitch and kindling. In the world of Global Shapers youth are the future and the future is youth.\n\nIn 2015, according to the UN Population Fund there were 1.8B people aged 10 to 24.  And it was this bulge in world demography that four years earlier inspired Klaus Schwab’s creation the Global Shapers Community.\n\nWith a membership well north of 9,000 across some 140 countries that counts as substantial organization. All spun up from nothing inside of 10 years. As I wrote in Part 1, Global Shapers is a product of Klaus Schwab and his World Economic Forum (WEF). Yet, outside of the sphere of change-agents and civil-society actors, virtually no one hears anything of this community.\n\nThe locus of Global Shapers’ members of a city is the Hub consisting of 20 to 50 members. Should a Hub fail to attract 20 members within 1 year of creation it will be disbanded. Should more than 50 candidates be available, the Hub will be slip into two separate groups.\n\nEach Hub elects a Curator to act as Hub Chair. A Curator’s mandate runs for one year.\n\nMembers must apply and then be nominated. Guided by the Community Charter each applicant is reviewed against “comprehensive Selection Guidelines to help Hubs to identify and select the best Global Shapers”.\n\nMake no mistake, members are highly educated, have entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial experience at high-level positions of influence, and are committed  to “deeply engage in the Shapers Community, reinforcing its mission and objectives …”\n\nHub membership as I understand is for a maximum of 5 years or to age 33 whichever occurs first. Age is restricted to 20 to 29 years at the time of nomination. So … not youth and also not “disgruntled“\n\nBoth Hubs and members are held to a strict timeline. Each Hub must create community projects. Every member must actively engage each year in at least one local Hub project and also actively participate in one global activity developed by the Global Shapers Community Foundation (more on the that later).\n\nWhile each Hub is organized independently developing its own rules to fit the local context but still adhering to principles of the official Community Charter. Should a Curator or member not fulfill obligations of the Community Charter there are of course rules for a remedy.\n\nLooking into the Global Shapers Community I learn that in all activities of each GS Hub is governed by the Global Shapers Community Foundation and managed by the Global Shapers Team. However, they do exist; just not as alien beings. Truth is there is a large well-organized group known as the Global Shapers Community (GSC).\n\nBut what is this Global Shapers Community (GSC) about?\n\nIt is important to understand Global Shapers created in 2011 and is a product of Klaus Schwab and his World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF usually gets a mention in lamestream media for its annual meeting hosted in Davos, Switzerland. So, yeah, more globalism, right?\n\nGlobal Shapers’ members gather in a hub. Hubs are the city or regional focus of that area’s membership. The collective of Shaper-hubs is the international community. The GSC claims some 9600 members in 430 city-based hubs, across 148 countries.\n\nMembers are highly educated and bring a varied talent-stack to each hub and project. Work experience is common in politics, tech, sustainability, media, finance, and more. Lawyers, doctors and IT professionals are members in many hubs. The work they do is local, regional, and global.\n\nMembers must apply and be nominated for membership. Members must be under 30 and may remain a member for up to 5 years or until age 33 whichever occurs first. Members must commit to create a new project or join work on an existing project.\n\nEach hub organizes to create projects that “address the needs of their community.”\n\nGenerally, these projects focus on changing society and breaking down existing social and cultural infrastructure. Most often and this will surprise virtually no one, a “project” manifests as a social program. My research reveals some members are founders or senior members of a nonprofit, a society, or foundation. Depending on the country location, a hub may also be a registered nonprofit.\n\nThe strongest thread among members, indeed the primary commitment of each member is to community-level activism. Activism can take many forms. Much of the activism we see today tends toward disruption of norms.\n\n“No, Global Shapers isn’t a shadow organization or cult. We’re not Illuminati.”\n\nGS projects span the spectrum. from the Los Angeles Neighborhood Councils. The Shaping Fashion  project started by GS Amsterdam and later adopted by 30 GS hubs worldwide. In addition, a hub in Latin America promoting Youth Entrepreneurship. In the UK, the hub in London has a project on intersectionality to “eliminate inequality based on an individual’s demographics or background.”\n\nProjects’ thematic focus tends to revolve around resilience, sustainability, and something called “global public interest,” a warm sounding phrase not accidentally lacking objective definition.\n\nShapers look for opportunities to have impact on a global scale by joining forces with other hubs.\n\nThe Charlotte GD hub in North Carolina states the WEF wants the GSC to “impact our community in a positive way.” Again, this is virtue-speak meant to soften the edges of a very broad social-justice anti-democratic objective. In my view, the goals of both the UN and WEF are, to put it mildly very much in lockstep.\n\nSeveral hubs have used the COVID-19 crisis creating the M.A.S.K. Project: Make and Sew Kindness. Participants include member hubs in Abu Dhabi, Katmandu, Bangalore, and more.\n\n“Global Shapers is an international network of young people connected in our commitment to improving the world, starting with our own communities.”\n\nHubs form an international network with common features. Each hub elects a Curator who serves a one-year term. Hubs are limited to a maximum of 50 total members. All members must work on a local project.\n\nGiven its genesis out of the WEF members embrace ideas and actions seeking to upend the status quo. A reasonable way to look at the work of the GSC is as a volunteer army assembled to activate at every level of society the objectives of the United Nations sustainable development agenda. Upending Western society is fair game.\n\nWhy create the Global Shapers anyway? Simple answer: demographics. Today, more than half of the world’s population is under the age of 30.\n\nThe GSC itself says, “With the largest youth population in history, there is an unprecedented opportunity for young people to take an active role in shaping the future …”\n\nNew members must be under the age of 30 at time of application for membership with a term limit of five years or to age of 33, whichever comes first. This is going to be more the case if and when the coronavirus pandemic hits us hard. We see it now. They are going to say silly things, they'll tell a few lies to protect their slipshod approach to governing and keep information from the public.\r\n\r\nCase in point. At a March 13, 2020 update, Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu offers up sentence fragments and word-salad to highlight what her department was doing. I didn’t hear any specific science mentioned. What she offered was more of the yada-yada seen form the Trudeau government to cover for, if not negligence, the continued gross incompetence of this government. The same broad ineptitude exhibited since 2015.\r\n\r\nLet's hear from Fed Health Min Hajdu (I transcribed her Mar 13 presser comments. She goes on to say travelers lie. (Side bar: Mmm, we have heard that term, <em><a href=\"https://www.spencerfernando.com/2017/11/17/pathetic-trudeau-government-calls-jihadis-returning-foreign-terrorist-travellers/\">travelers</a></em>  somewhere recently.)\r\n<blockquote>Hajdu: “and travelers find other ways into countries and travelers become less honest about where they’ve come from; where they’re travelling to; what they’re particular symptoms may be; so Canada’s approach from the very beginning as been to use science and evidence to make these decisions to keep Canadians safe”\n</blockquote>\r\nQuick recap. The good Minister says borders don’t work, travelers lie, and now she claims decision making to be reliant on <em>science and evidence</em>. Try squaring that circle, folks. Let’s continue:\r\n<blockquote>Hajdu: “the reason why we took the measures early on was because the science says that when you provide the screening and the information at the border; especially as you understand how <u>the pandemic is travelling across the globe …</u>”\n</blockquote>\r\nWell, aren’t borders a device of isolation, albeit large scale societal and sovereign control of if not a full walling-off of outsiders? In other words, a form of threat protection. Back to it:\r\n<blockquote>Hajdu: “… you can actually have those conversations with travelers; <u>you can actually follow those travelers</u> depending on the severity of the illness in their particular country; which we have been doing; with public health at local public health levels”\n</blockquote>\r\n<h3>Except for one key thing. No one is tracking anyone entering Canada.</h3>\r\nUnless you are in hospital there is zero local public health tracking. Notice she didn’t say government is tracking, but “you can track.”\r\n\r\nSure, but that requires decision-making and release of resources. That didn’t happen. Back to it:\r\n<blockquote>Hajdu: “you can track and actually even consider—and we have—adding mandatory isolation; and that allows you to contain the spread within your country”\n</blockquote>\r\n<h3>Look how she slips in one thing that probably was discussed by this government: <em>mandatory isolation.</em></h3>\r\nHajdu wants you to believe borders don’t work to block out foreign threats. Now she admits consideration of forced confinement. That sure sounds like she wants to put a border around citizen’s movements (which may be apt and correct). She is willing to let possibly infected foreigners enter our country and once sick, only then consider restriction movement. Welcome to progressives’ crazytown! But wait, there’s more:\r\n<blockquote>Hajdu : “now that we see cases in Canada; borders become less important”\n</blockquote>\r\n<h3>The globalism is <em>strong</em> in this one.</h3>\r\n<blockquote>Hajdu: “and the relationship with the United States is going to be critically important so that we can continue that work together”\n</blockquote>\r\nWhat? I’ve seen nothing substantial in the public sphere indicating collaboration. Trudeau and Freeland seem to have tag-teamed to destroy relations with our most important ally. To that very point, when POTUS announced the European travel ban (effective 16/03/20) our officials were <a href=\"https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/washington-did-not-inform-ottawa-in-advance-of-european-travel-ban-freeland/ar-BB115W8G?li=AAggXBV\">not contacted prior</a> to the announcement. There is likely any motivation Washington to provide information, beyond the very basics, to our officials. Can you blame them? And Hajdu plows on to the wrap-up:\r\n<blockquote>“because we have people with coronavirus in the United States and we have people with coronavirus in Canada; undoubtedly we have people with coronavirus in Mexico …”\n</blockquote>\r\nFinally, the last bit of Pablum is spooned out: “… and so those conversations as a continent are going to be what continues to keep us safe.”\r\n\r\nDid she say that with her outside voice? We were told rather disingenuously by the minister of health—she is not a doctor or medical professional, not a scientist either, but a graphic designer— about science and evidence. When nothing she has said bears that out. Instead, we are told, “conversations will keep us safe.” I'd settle for science, thank you.\r\n\r\nNo. What we’re seeing is baffle-gab from this corrupt government. Regardless of your views on this pandemic, if you are extremely worried or quite skeptical you can see how fast and loose progressives are with truth.       "body": "Increasingly, voters in the West are leaving the mainstream political parties. Across Europe there have been, and continue to be enormous, “historic shifts in politics, culture, and economics,” that are shaking up elections.\n\nWe've been hearing in recent years how Europe's voters are in full revolt\n\nWe've been hearing in recent years how Europe's voters are in full revolt, rejecting both mainstream politics and the progressive agenda. This rejection is not an overnight change or temporary phenomena; national populism has been building for several years. In addition, populism means “by the people,” from the Latin populus, the people.\n\nTwo recent events show cold politics trumps principle, truth, and freedom.\n\nOne: Andrew Scheer just punished one of his MPs, Michael Cooper, for speaking the truth. What Mr. Cooper said was not false, nor was it an attack on a witness. The CPC supported a move to erase a portion of Mr. Cooper’s testimony from the official government record of Justice Committee proceedings. Move over Winston Smith.\n\nTwo: Prime Minister Trudeau seeking to further divide Canadians on yet another issue declared that conservatives would alter access to abortions in Canada. Trudeau—based on events in another country, namely, legislation passed recently in some US States—was to set-up straw men to refute a proposition no one is pushing.\n\nTrudeau uses fear-bombs packed with lies to scare voters\n\nWhat Trudeau did— chose to chuck a fear-bomb packed with lies to scare voters hoping to prevent them fleeing the Liberal Party.\n\nWhat Scheer did—based on his fear of the Media-party—was to ignore the facts so he could suck up to an identity group: Mr. Cooper spoke the truth while Scheer prefers to pander for support.\n\nAuthoritarians are not even hiding their contempt for democracy\n\nIn both examples, the Conservatives and the Liberal are quick to stifle debate to advance their respective narrow political agendas. They are taking their respective political calculations and testing them out ahead of the official September-October election campaign.\n\nThe abhorrent behavior of these senior politicians is the reason that memberships in the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) continues to grow. Maxime Bernier will not play the political correctness game. He is not willing to surrender free speech and public discourse to the gatekeepers of postmodernism. You can’t be blamed for seeing what’s being called the LibCon Deception.\n\nLook at Nigel Farage in the UK and his Brexit Party.\n\nIn the recent May vote, they scored an historic victory. A sweet victory when you realize that the Brexit Party only came into being in 2019. It is not only the UK but also Denmark, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, and Hungary to name a few.\n\nCanada is not immune to what Europe's voters seek\n\nCanada is not immune to these shifts as voters seek a new party worthy of their support. Soon the polls moving closer to October will show even greater drop for support for the old parties.\n\nWhat are disaffected voters looking for? In simple terms, they want policy that speaks to national and cultural issues. After several decades of abuse, citizens are pushing back. Voters are sick of disconnected politicians with low-regard for ordinary citizen, the taxpayer.\n\nOur freedoms and democratic values are now at risk.\n\nEconomically, Canada continues to slide into the ditch as Trudeau acts as a dictator. His adherence to the UN, billions in foreign aid, SNC-Lavalin, and Mark Norman Affair are the actions of a treacherous man who is out of control against democracy.\n\nScheer is not looking any different; some observers suggest he is simply Trudeau 2.0. He is big on globalist ideas and whipped his caucus to support the Paris Accord. No doubt you've noticed, the Conservatives offer up only paper-thin policy-suggestions. You recall that Scheer is leader of the CPC due to support from corporate interests and shenanigans during the leadership campaign.\n\n“Because of interest in what Mark and his fellow witnesses were to say, the meeting was scheduled to be televised. But, in the opening minutes of the hearing, the Liberals voted to un-televise it, and the remaining Tories voted with them.” Source, Steyn on Line\n\n\nWhat is obvious is that the authoritarians are not even hiding their contempt for democracy, and for ordinary Canadians. Again, last week CPC supported an NDP motion at Justice Committee to cut the video feed of testimony of Mark Steyn, Lindsay Shepard, and John Robson. The legislators ran a star-chamber worthy of Orwell’s imagined Ministry of Truth. Yeah, damn right their censoring information, keeping it from the public.\n\nMaxime Bernier quit the Conservative Party of Canada describing it as intellectually bankrupt to establish the People’s Party of Canada.  Check for yourself, Mr. Bernier is not going to play the political correctness game, nor is he going to rollover on free speech like Mr. Scheer.\n\nThe People’s Party of Canada is the fastest growing party in Canadian history. Membership in the PPC is growing as voters’ pushback against increased censorship and the threats posed by mainstream parties.\n\nDisaffected voters of the other parties will find a home in the PPC. They will discover the policy platform of the PPC is good for all Canadians. A paradigm shift is what it will take to save Canada.\n\nAs in Europe and UK, Canadian voters are tired of the neglect, increased taxation, uneconomic progressive policies, and the United Nations agenda.\n\nThe People’s Party of Canada has clear common sense ideas based on reason, science and logic founded in respect, freedom, responsibility, fairness, and respect.       "body": "Across Europe voters are rejecting the EU and globalism.In just a few weeks the yellow vest protests have done much to wreck Macron's vision of a globalist utopia.\r\n<h3>The act of protest tells elected officials you do not like a war, a policy, or a tax.</h3>\r\nThrough protest the yellow vest movement has extracted many concessions from little Emanuel Macron. Macron promised some tax reductions, a rise in the minimum wage, and other measures. None of his concessions satisfied those he had earlier called \"thugs.\" Protestors clearly say these moves as attempts to buy them off and make them go away.\r\n\r\nAs I've written before, these grassroots protests demand nothing less than the resignation of Macron and a repudiation of the the globalist agenda by the government.\r\n\r\nEurope is ahead of Canada in its rejection of a borderless one government world. However, even in these chaotic times, protest remains an inherent right of citizens living in western liberal democracies. Protest is a default condition of being free of control by the state.\r\n\r\nAt one time not so very long ago we would, roughly speaking, recognize others’ take on contemporary issues and that by airing these differences in public we could over time work it out directly or, through public institutions and the ballot box.\r\nAfter all, the act of civil discourse is integral to us, our ancestors and societies, making it out of the Dark Ages to see this today. The exchange of ideas is how rational people get to better ideas and solve problems.\r\n\r\nWanting to not be overlooked leaders and politicians actively sought out discussion, differences, ideas, and in earnest tried to figure a common denominator with which, more or less, to salve the concern of the involved parties.\r\n\r\nThat was, like I said earlier, how things used to be resolved decades ago. At least this was the visible public side reported by a then more diligent news media. Sure, it was often a winner take all resolution—put another way; problem solving generally sided with the majority. That means more people with less; less employment, less savings, and less mobility. The remaining middle-class, already paying the greatest chunk of taxes is burdened with more, always more.\r\n\r\nVery much like French workers, and German, British, Italian, Greek wage earners Canadians are being <a href=\"https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/canadian-wealth-fall-highest-g7-195300187.html\">financially decimated</a>.\r\n\r\nWait! It gets worse. The country, in my opinion, has yet to feel the impact of 2015-2018 federal spending programs. Prime Minister Justin “Socks” Trudeau, by the time he leaves office after October’s federal election, will have racked up somewhere in the $60B-$80B neighborhood in budget deficits.\r\n\r\nYou will want to buckle-up for the looming return of regular interest rate increases.\r\n\r\nMillennials are in for a shock.\r\n\r\nThey’ve never known anything but a low interest economy. Therefore, their reality has, although not in isolation of contemporary western culture, been nurtured by next-to-free money.\r\n\r\nThe pain will be severe; trips to Starbucks will suffer major cut-backs. Expect the phrase, ‘Venti Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino,’ to fall into near disuse.\r\n\r\nGenerations of Canadians will pay for the globalist regime of Justin Trudeau and his fondness for exporting our future—literally; in the form of borrowed money, debt—to numerous despotic hellholes in, fore most part Africa.\r\n\r\nSimultaneously, far away from the gentrified <strong><em>très</em></strong><strong><em>-</em></strong><em>cool</em> eyries of bureaucrats, elites, and verbose cable news personalities towards the margins of normal society, for so long ignored by the chattering classes, people started to wake up.\r\n\r\nWage-earners more than others, looking at their stagnant and shrinking pay cheques saw the globalists taking more and more.\r\n\r\nWage-earners across Europe increasingly attributed the source of their growing poverty with globalism. So it began that the ubiquitous demands globalists; corporations; banks; quasi-national organizations of unelected openly aided by progressivist politicians that the seeds of the Yellow Vest movement were sown.\r\n<h3>The reality is not different in other western countries. Canada is no exception.</h3>\r\nGlobalists are the source of the problem. Look at it in reverse by reframing that statement, just flip it around to see that it is anti-sovereignists, anti-nationalists are wrecking western democratic countries.\r\n<blockquote><em>“The worse reality becomes, the less a beleaguered population wants to hear about it, and the more it distracts itself with squalid pseudo-events of celebrity breakdowns, gossip and trivia. These are the debauched revels of a dying civilization.” Chris Hedges in <a href=\"http://www.amazon.com/Empire-Illusion-Literacy-Triumph-Spectacle/dp/1568584377\">Empire of Illusion</a></em>\n</blockquote>\r\n<h3>The push-back against the globalist onslaught will only continue to grow.</h3>\r\nIndeed, back in December of 2018, a Facebook group called “<a href=\"https://www.theepochtimes.com/yellow-vest-protests-come-to-canada_2742069.html\">Yellow Vests Canada</a>” declared it had 75,000 members. The person posting identified their mission as being, “to protest” the Carbon Tax and the treason of Canada’s politicians who, “have the audacity to sell” the country’s sovereignty over to the globalist UN “and their tyrannical policies.” Since then there have been numerous protests across Canada, more will follow.\r\n\r\nInterestingly, and this will surprise only those still reliant on the legacy-media for facts, is that some seventy-percent of <a href=\"https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2018/12/04/despite-wave-violence-72-percent-french-still-support-yellow-vest-movement/\">French citizens</a> are fully sympathetic with the \"gilets jaunes\" anti-government demonstrations.\r\n\r\nI have no idea what a comparable poll in Canada would reveal (and would we have faith in any such polls). I would suggest that the <a href=\"https://torontosun.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-yellow-vests-in-canada-you-better-believe-it\">Canadian version</a> is a combination of anti-Trudeau, anti-socialism, and anti-globalist sentiment. But, hey, I could be wrong.\r\n\r\nSince 2015 the Canadian resource sector has been hammered.\r\n\r\nNotley and Trudeau teamed up to destroy not just jobs, but a profitable industry. Add to that mix the fact we too have seen no real growth in wages, new and higher taxes, and creeping inflation.\r\n\r\nAlbertans are the biggest victims of a decade of foreign funded anti-pipeline activists. Don’t doubt the meticulous research of Viviane Kraus, she has the facts, tells the truth at <a href=\"https://fairquestions.typepad.com/rethink_campaigns/\">Fair Question.com</a>. But at the same time Canadian sovereignty has been ceded to powerful groups, allowing them to essentially dictate domestic energy policy:\r\n<blockquote>“<a href=\"https://business.financialpost.com/commodities/energy/alberta-premier-rachel-notley-facing-backlash-over-oilsands-emissions-cap\">Your premier [Alberta's Notley] put a cap on the oilsands</a>,” Krause reminded the attentive crowd. “That’s exactly what the Rockefeller Fund funded the activists to do, was to pressure the government to put that cap on.” <a href=\"https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/corbella-vivian-krause-should-become-a-household-name-across-canada\">Viviane Krause</a>\n</blockquote>\r\nGlobalists are not patriots.\r\n\r\nWe see the moneyed class and the ruling elites who wish to dictate how we live, grow rich as they increase their disregard for—and <a href=\"#cool_eyries\">physical distance from</a>—wage earners, forgotten working people.\r\n\r\nWhen UK workers voted for Brexit, globalists were stunned. This was the people paying the freight standing up and saying with one voice “enough!”\r\n\r\nDespite the Remain side campaign citing job loss and lower wage prospects upon leaving the EU, British citizens choose to stand for sovereignty, society, and family. No yellow vests, but an anti-globalist protest just the same.\r\n\r\nReturning to what I said earlier about protests, I want to make two of points: First, for the most part, protests of our day have looked to the entrenched political structures for relief. Second, both Brexit and the yellow vest protests are apolitical and expressly want solutions to problems from outside of the current political paradigm.\r\n\r\nIn Canada we hear both Canadian and international legacy-media dismiss such protests as coming from a small group of trouble-makers, the alt-right, violent <a href=\"https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46492070\">nationalists</a>, and that Brexit was advanced by angry <a href=\"https://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/24/opinion/brexit-and-europes-angry-old-men.html\">old men</a>.\r\n\r\nThey want to scoff at the PPC. A heavily government funded media-party dismisses Max Bernier as a sore loser to Andrew Scheer in the Conservative Party leadership contest.\r\n\r\nThese groups and others believe the current system is the only system that will benefit them in some way. For some inside such groups finding the ideas appealing, they don’t or can’t speak up for fear of being ejected by their contemporaries, disowned by business connections, and we know the possibly abrupt unemployment hangs in the air like the sword of Damocles.\r\n\r\nIn Canada as across the Atlantic in France there exists opportunity for abundant change. Those scary national populists the fading dinosaur media never tires of demonizing have been winning election after election across Europe.\r\n\r\nIn Germany, in 2017 the upstart Alternative for Germany (AfD) won some <a href=\"https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-41376577\"><strong>12%</strong></a> of the vote, Matteo Salvini head of Lega Nord (Northern League) is referred to as <a href=\"https://www.thedailybeast.com/italys-trump-matteo-salvini-wants-to-take-over-europe\">Italy’s Trump</a>, and most recently in Brazil nationalist candidate Jair Bolsonaro is now president. Expect to see Marine Le Pen rise to the top in Frances next election cycle.\r\n\r\nFighting the Eurocrats in Brussels, the Remainers in the UK, carbon taxes in France or open borders in the USA and the 24/7 flow of illegal migrants into Canada it all boils down to one common theme: citizens demand a say, they demand control of their lives, their neighborhood, their country and are snatching it away from the tyranny of the few over the many.\r\nMake no mistake; this is not a Right versus Left battle as those ideas are ancient history, obsolete, and only serve to keep you choosing from the same old menu of stale ideological choices.\r\n\r\nBeyond sound-bite politics what really binds a people together is culture. Culture is by definition populist because it has been nurtured over generations as a critical part in the structure and continuation of a society. In order to survive an organism must evolve and build on what gives it life, or wither and die, societies are no different.\r\n\r\nPopulism is not new; it is just getting its voice back. As Roger Eatwell and Matthew Goodwin note in their recent book, “National Populism: The Revolt Against Liberal Democracy,\r\n<blockquote>“National populism, in whatever form, will have a powerful effect on the politics of many Western countries for many years to come.” (292)\n</blockquote>\r\nAnd so the recipe for victory over the tyranny of the globalist agenda, the European Union, a radical United Nations requires what has been called retraditionalization; a process of returning to Western cultural values of family,\r\n\r\nNationalism offers the individual choices, rather than mass conformity.\r\n\r\nBy rejecting the globalists’ vision for more secularization of society and bringing together ideas from many areas Canadians experience we have a wonderful opportunity to take back our Canada.\r\n\r\nIn Canada, for Canadians when <a href=\"https://globalnews.ca/news/4450870/maxime-bernier-peoples-party-who-can-join/\">Max Bernier says</a>, “We want to attract people from all parties also like the NDP,” take his words as an appeal to what is good, not from obsolete party doctrines, certainly not from hardcore ideologues, but to the inherent goodness of human values such as trust and truth grounded in three keystone ingredients required to create a country: borders, language, and culture.\r\n\r\nEurope is already ahead of us in this rejection of a borderless one government world.\r\n\r\nGlobalists are more desperate than ever to flip Canada, just like Obama and Hillary came so close to flipping America.\r\n\r\nBy working together we can stop them, but we must work together for one Canada. <br /><center><hr/><em>Posted from DailyRasp.com <a href='https://wordpress.org/plugins/steempress/'>SteemPress</a> : https://www.dailyrasp.com/globalism/europe-is-ahead-of-canada-in-rejection-of-a-borderless-one-government-world/ </em><hr/></center>        ",

The very nature of protest has transmogrified and demands for, essentially, more government—well, more government <em>force</em>—to be brought against <em>them</em>.\r\n\r\nHere in Canada we have not escaped the growth of a bloated government-class, an elitist class of urban dwellers, and a media floating in a sea of taxpayer cash as the Trudeau Regime never tires of plotting more intrusions into every nook and cranny of our lives. Canada, some might say is edging toward police state territory.\r\n\r\nThe middle-class appears to be shrinking. That means more people with less; less employment, less savings, and less mobility. The remaining middle-class, already paying the greatest chunk of taxes is burdened with more, always more. Very much like French workers, and German, British, Italian, Greek wage earners Canadians are being <a href=\"https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/canadian-wealth-fall-highest-g7-195300187.html\">financially decimated</a>.\r\n\r\nWait! It gets worse. The country, in my opinion, has yet to feel the impact of 2015-2018 federal spending programs. Prime Minister Justin “Socks” Trudeau, by the time he leaves office after October’s federal election, will have racked up somewhere in the $60B-$80B neighborhood in budget deficits.\r\n\r\nYou will want to buckle-up for the looming return of regular interest rate increases. Millennials are in for a shock. They’ve never known anything but a low interest economy. Therefore, their reality has, although not in isolation of contemporary western culture, been nurtured by next-to-free money.\r\n\r\nThe pain will be severe; trips to Starbucks will suffer major cut-backs. Expect the phrase, ‘Venti Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino,’ to fall into near disuse.\r\n\r\nGenerations of Canadians will pay for the globalist regime of Justin Trudeau and his fondness for exporting our future—literally; in the form of borrowed money, debt—to numerous despotic hellholes in, fore most part Africa.\r\n\r\nSimultaneously, far away from the gentrified <strong><em>très</em></strong><strong><em>-</em></strong><em>cool</em> eyries of bureaucrats, elites, and verbose cable news personalities towards the margins of normal society, for so long ignored by the chattering classes, people started to wake up. Wage-earners more than others, looking at their stagnant and shrinking pay cheques saw the globalists taking more and more.\r\n\r\nWage-earners across Europe increasingly attributed the source of their growing poverty with globalism. So it began that the ubiquitous demands globalists; corporations; banks; quasi-national organizations of unelected openly aided by progressivist politicians that the seeds of the Yellow Vest movement were sown.\r\nThe reality is not different in other western countries. Canada is no exception.\r\nGlobalists are the source of the problem. Look at it in reverse by reframing that statement, just flip it around to see that it is anti-sovereignists, anti-nationalists are wrecking western democratic countries.\r\n<blockquote><em>“The worse reality becomes, the less a beleaguered population wants to hear about it, and the more it distracts itself with squalid pseudo-events of celebrity breakdowns, gossip and trivia. These are the debauched revels of a dying civilization.” Chris Hedges in <a href=\"http://www.amazon.com/Empire-Illusion-Literacy-Triumph-Spectacle/dp/1568584377\">Empire of Illusion</a></em>\n</blockquote>\r\nThe pushback against the globalist onslaught will only continue to grow.\r\nIndeed, back in December of 2018, a Facebook group called “<a href=\"https://www.theepochtimes.com/yellow-vest-protests-come-to-canada_2742069.html\">Yellow Vests Canada</a>” declared it had 75,000 members. The person posting identified their mission as being, “to protest” the Carbon Tax and the treason of Canada’s politicians who, “have the audacity to sell” the country’s sovereignty over to the globalist UN “and their tyrannical policies.” Since then there have been numerous protests across Canada.\r\nInterestingly, and this will surprise only those still reliant on the legacy-media for facts, is that some seventy-percent of <a href=\"https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2018/12/04/despite-wave-violence-72-percent-french-still-support-yellow-vest-movement/\">French citizens</a> are fully sympathetic with the \"gilets jaunes\" anti-government demonstrations.\r\nI have no idea what a comparable poll in Canada would reveal (and would we have faith in any such polls). I would suggest that the <a href=\"https://torontosun.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-yellow-vests-in-canada-you-better-believe-it\">Canadian version</a> is a combination of anti-Trudeau, anti-socialism, and anti-globalist sentiment. But, hey, I could be wrong.\r\nSince 2015 the Canadian resource sector has been hammered. Notley and Trudeau teamed up to destroy not just jobs, but a profitable industry. Add to that mix the fact we too have seen no real growth in wages, new and higher taxes, and creeping inflation.\r\nAlbertans are the biggest victims of a decade of foreign funded anti-pipeline activists. Don’t doubt the meticulous research of Viviane Kraus, she has the facts, tells the truth at <a href=\"https://fairquestions.typepad.com/rethink_campaigns/\">Fair Question.com</a>. But at the same time Canadian sovereignty has been ceded to powerful groups, allowing them to essentially dictate domestic energy policy:\r\n<blockquote>“<a href=\"https://business.financialpost.com/commodities/energy/alberta-premier-rachel-notley-facing-backlash-over-oilsands-emissions-cap\">Your premier [Alberta's Notley] put a cap on the oilsands</a>,” Krause reminded the attentive crowd. “That’s exactly what the Rockefeller Fund funded the activists to do, was to pressure the government to put that cap on.” <a href=\"https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/corbella-vivian-krause-should-become-a-household-name-across-canada\">Viviane Krause</a>\n</blockquote>\r\nGlobalists are not patriots. We see the moneyed class and the ruling elites who wish to dictate how we live, grow rich as they increase their disregard for—and <a href=\"#cool_eyries\">physical distance from</a>—wage earners, forgotten working people.\r\nWhen UK workers voted for Brexit, globalists were stunned. This was the people paying the freight standing up and saying with one voice “enough!” Despite the Remain side campaign citing job loss and lower wage prospects upon leaving the EU, British citizens choose to stand for sovereignty, society, and family. No yellow vests, but an anti-globalist protest just the same.\r\nReturning to what I said earlier about protests, I want to make two of points: First, for the most part, protests of our day have looked to the entrenched political structures for relief. Second, both Brexit and the yellow vest protests are apolitical and expressly want solutions to problems from outside of the current political paradigm.\r\nIn Canada we hear both Canadian and international legacy-media dismiss such protests as coming from a small group of trouble-makers, the alt-right, violent <a href=\"https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46492070\">nationalists</a>, and that Brexit was advanced by angry <a href=\"https://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/24/opinion/brexit-and-europes-angry-old-men.html\">old men</a>.\r\nThey want to scoff at the PPC. A heavily government funded media-party dismisses Max Bernier as a sore loser to Andrew Scheer in the Conservative Party leadership contest.\r\nThese groups and others believe the current system is the only system that will benefit them in some way. For some inside such groups finding the ideas appealing, they don’t or can’t speak up for fear of being ejected by their contemporaries, disowned by business connections, and we know the possibly abrupt unemployment hangs in the air like the sword of Damocles.\r\nIn Canada as across the Atlantic in France there exists opportunity for abundant change. Those scary national populists the fading dinosaur media never tires of demonizing have been winning election after election across Europe. In Germany, in 2017 the upstart Alternative for Germany (AfD) won some <a href=\"https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-41376577\"><strong>12%</strong></a> of the vote, Matteo Salvini head of Lega Nord (Northern League) is referred to as <a href=\"https://www.thedailybeast.com/italys-trump-matteo-salvini-wants-to-take-over-europe\">Italy’s Trump</a>, and most recently in Brazil nationalist candidate Jair Bolsonaro is now president. Expect to see Marine Le Pen rise to the top in Frances next election cycle.\r\nFighting the Eurocrats in Brussels, the Remainers in the UK, carbon taxes in France or open borders in the USA and the 24/7 flow of illegal migrants into Canada it all boils down to one common theme: citizens demand a say, they demand control of their lives, their neighborhood, their country and are snatching it away from the tyranny of the few over the many.\r\nMake no mistake; this is not a Right versus Left battle as those ideas are ancient history, obsolete, and only serve to keep you choosing from the same old menu of stale ideological choices.\r\nBeyond sound-bite politics what really binds a people together is culture. Culture is by definition populist because it has been nurtured over generations as a critical part in the structure and continuation of a society. In order to survive an organism must evolve and build on what gives it life, or wither and die, societies are no different.\r\nPopulism is not new; it is just getting its voice back. As Roger Eatwell and Matthew Goodwin note in their recent book, “National Populism: The Revolt Against Liberal Democracy,\r\n<blockquote>“National populism, in whatever form, will have a powerful effect on the politics of many Western countries for many years to come.” (292)\n</blockquote>\r\nAnd so the recipe for victory over the tyranny of globalism, the dangerous radical United Nations, and those who support them requires what has been called retraditionalization. Nationalism offers individual choice rather than mass conformity.”\r\nBy rejecting the globalists’ vision for more secularization of society and bringing together ideas from many areas Canadians experience we have a wonderful opportunity to take back our Canada.\r\nIn Canada, for Canadians when <a href=\"https://globalnews.ca/news/4450870/maxime-bernier-peoples-party-who-can-join/\">Max Bernier says</a>, “We want to attract people from all parties also like the NDP,” take his words as an appeal to what is good, not from obsolete party doctrines, certainly not from hardcore ideologues, but to the inherent goodness of human values such as trust and truth grounded in three keystone ingredients required to create a country: borders, language, and culture.\r\nEurope is already ahead of us in this rejection of a borderless one government world. For now though , the newest media target is Brazil’s <a href=\"https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/oct/28/jair-bolsonaro-wins-brazil-presidential-election\">Jair Bolsonaro</a>. And he has declared war on Marxism. More emphatically, the target of their collective outrage is laser-focused on angry white men.\r\n<h4>The failing legacy-media, along with <em>progressive</em> politicos, and old-guard elite don’t understand what is happening.</h4>\r\nThey still see the rise of elected nationalists as a flash in the pan, a transitory radar-blip they agree will soon pass. As if Trump is the accidental president.\r\n\r\nLaughingly these people reveal themselves to be one or all of: a media sock-puppet; an enemy of reason; a dull liberal hack, on top of which they grossly ill-informed. Or what you’d refer to as, almost every CNN panelist since Donald Trump announced for president.\r\n<h3>But how then does this supposedly small voting bloc account for Marine Le Pen?</h3>\r\nYou’ll recall in the 2017 French election she won some 10 million votes. Did all of those votes come from vulgar French misogynists? Hardly.\r\n\r\nAs authors Roger Eatwell and Matthew Goodwin explain in <em>National Populism: The Revolt Against Liberal Democracy</em> the populist movement has been developing and expanding for a long-time, notably since the seventies.\r\n<blockquote>\"If you have the wisdom, the strength, the tenacity, to hold [the coalition that elected Trump] together, we will govern for 50 to 75 years.\" Steven Bannon\n</blockquote>\r\nBolsonaro is but the most recent elected proponent—and his supporters like those of Trump and Matteo Salvini includes plenty of ordinary folks. Throughout the West, at various levels, nationalists have been getting themselves <a href=\"https://www.dailyrasp.com/democracy/post-truth-age-is-ending-were-on-the-edge-of-political-change/\">elected</a>. And the electorate is largely normal people with comprehensible motives.\r\n\r\nSure, people are concerned about jobs, but if that was at the top of their worry-list the Brexit vote would have been won by the no side.\r\n\r\nIncreasingly, the major concern is the effect of mass-immigration on society. Regular folks have real concerns over the rate of change occurring in their community, village or town. They see the problems develop and the costs soar.\r\n\r\nI guess it boils down to this; how can a society maintain links to past and build for the future when it is constantly flooded with people from a different culture? With all due respect to Swedish citizens, think of Malmo, Sweden twenty years from now.\r\n<h4>The Left and Center-left have abandoned workers in favor of a higher educated demographic.</h4>\r\nAnd why wouldn’t they? They understand that universities are the entry-point for Marxist indoctrination. Millennials too are more likely to be open to emotionally based ideas such as open-borders, banning oil pipelines, and carbon-taxes.\r\n\r\nAnd to be fair, there was a time when socialist politicians genuinely worked to advance the security of workers. Heck, someone had to protect wage earners from those greedy Corpos.\r\n\r\nWe’ve seen how, over the decades, social democrats cancelled that policy plank in order to speed the advance of their agenda. The slumber induced by the elites these past five or so decades is over. We are on the edge of major change. The post-truth age is ending and voters are eager to usher in a resurgent democratic paradigm. One that embraces citizens’ safety over tolerance, local prosperity over foreign aid, and family unity above theoretical <em>communities</em>.\r\n<h3>Call it nationalism, populism, or put them together as nationalist-populism.</h3>\r\nThis is the movement that is sweeping Europe and the West. For many observers populism is seen as a phenomenon; something new, and so they have contrasting thoughts about what to make of it.\r\n<h3>Of the populist idea, one thing is certain; it did not simply appear, spontaneously.</h3>\r\nLong before Donald Trump in 2015 descended that staircase to announce for president the strong forces of political change were at work.\r\n\r\nPoliticians, media, and educators for the most part no longer use objective truths to describe world events. Even those that want to speak out fear job-loss and humiliation by their peers. Everything, we are lectured endlessly, emerges from within a particular social-justice frame, through the lens of a particular cohort. As long as the cohort isn’t white and male every story must be accepted as the final word, the only <em>truth </em>which matters.\r\n<h3>Page through threads on various social media and you discover that nationalists are either patriots or xenophobes.</h3>\r\nThose expressing concern for their country is called out as anti-immigration by the usual suspects. Only bigots hold such intolerant divisive opinions. What these labels, slanders, and memes hold in common is that their devotees lack information.\r\n<h3>The legacy-media of course follows the party line.</h3>\r\nElites and talking-heads are quick to label those expressing concerns about open-borders and mass-migration as the enemy. It’s the far-right, alt-right, and fascists that want to fuel division in society. Everyone else, we are lectured endlessly, promotes tolerance experiencing their daily lives as one gigantic group-hug.\r\n<h3>For folks with their eyes open to reality, there is no utopia now, or ever.</h3>\r\nThe narrative of liberal democracy is long shopworn, in tatters, and, pretty much daily, proved false. Worse, the progressives continue to ramp-up to greater levels of authoritarianism. Such state control is nowhere more obvious than in Canada under the thrall of today’s Trudeau Regime.\r\n\r\nThe world is changing. Over the course of the last two years we have witnessed a massive surge in support for politicians with campaign platforms which place protection of their country at the vanguard. This has been most evident in Eastern Europe. Two examples are Austria and Hungary with Victor Orban.\r\n\r\nIn Italy it is the talkative Matteo Salvini and his nationalist League (<em>Lega</em>) party (in a coalition government with the populist Five Star Movement (M5S) working to improve the lot of Italian citizens. If not for the intervention of globalists forces in France Marine Le Pen would, I believe, occupy the space currently taken up by ex-Goldman Sacks banker Emmanuel Macron.\r\n<h3>It is the enemies of reason and debate who eschew facts, and invent alternate ones.</h3>\r\nThat’s one reason why huge swathes of the public have no faith in old-timey television news and printing-press editorials.\r\n<h3>For decades now, liberal (progressive) talking points have divided nations and within nations, societies.</h3>\r\nPublic sentiment has turned against the tropes of state driven multiculturalism, affirmative action, and cultural relativism. Think: European Union, United Nations, and most universities in the West.\r\n\r\nYou may think such change exclusively takes the form of street-protests, forcing elites to alter their policies. The French gilets-jaunes or yellow-vests protests spring to mind. But this is but a symptom of frustration by taxpayers, fed-up with being ignored, exploited too long.\r\n\r\nThe real change, the systemic change to reignite democracy in the West is, and has been occurring at the ballot boxes of Western nations. Granted, these latest fuel tax rises are possibly a final spark which ignited the fuse.\nThe corpo sock-puppet media claim French wage earners are mad over the latest hikes in the price of fuel.\n\nSomething in the order of a 23% tax increases—announced by government (and now retracted) is purely to fund Paris Accord commitments.\nIn fact, just over a year ago Macron, speaking at the Sorbonne declared, “We need a tax on carbon at the borders of Europe. This is indispensable.”\nNot so fast Emmanuel baby. Abiding Paris is a choice.\nProtestors in Paris told the Guardian they were marching as living costs have risen, unemployment is growing amongst the young, and the government is doing little to help the poorest in society.\n\nWhat with the Paris Accord not being a legal agreement and all. Compliance by any jurisdiction, with UN IPCC diktat is voluntary.\nThe government has stated the tax will go entirely toward fighting climate change.\n\nAlready overtaxed workers are not to expect improved health-care, roads, or better policing.\nIn the speech, Macron boldly embraced his inner-Europhile, blaming lack of progress on the Euroscepticism of many leaders.
