Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”\n\nWORD:\nA lot of school of thoughts has many views regarding cry, tears and weeping. Some sees it as sign of weakness and helplessness. Others see it as sign of faithlessness or lack of faith. But the Bible teaches something different from the above views and I will be sharing some of it here.\n1)\tCry, tears and weeping is not a sign of weakness or helplessness; but an indication that you are an emotional being. \nAt Lazarus’ grave, it was recorded that Jesus wept. And here was the response of the Jews that saw Him weeping:  “Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!” John 11:36 \n2)\tCry, tears and weeping is not a sign of weakness; but an act of prayer to God. \n\nHosea 12:4  says, “Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;”\n\nJob 16:20  “My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.”\n\n3)\tCry, tears and weeping are weapons of warfare that puts your enemies into defeat. It was a painful experience that got to their souls and made them weep because of the love they had for their families. \n\nIn such a time, they apportioned the blame on their leader, David and thought of stoning him. David after weeping and had no more strength to weep, he didn’t fight his men. He didn’t quarrel with them neither did he query or curse God rather he encouraged himself in the Lord and inquired from Him for the next line of action which led to him recovering all that the enemies had taken away. \n\nYou have seen what David did after crying. When you are confronted with an experience that will trigger your emotions to cry; should you charge God with irresponsibility and quit the faith or apportion blame on others, fight and break up relationships? And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. “\n\nWORD:\n\nThere are two kinds of people waiting for the Lord, viz: those who wait patiently and those who wait desperately.\n\nThese two are not same. \n\nThose that wait for the Lord patiently are never in a hurry to receive from God. They allows God have His perfect timing all He does for them. They know whatever God does in His time is super beautiful. That’s why in their behavior while waiting, they are calm in the mind and firm in believing with their hearts that God will surely do what Him alone can do in their lives. But the people who wait desperately are in a haste to have God respond to them. They wait watching their watches, counting days on their calendar and gives God time to do whatever they are requesting from Him.\n\nThis kind of folk walks by sight and their faith in God is wavers. They complain a lot while waiting. They threaten God with quit notice from the faith if He fails to do what they wants at their own time appointed. With these, many Christians has failed the test of waiting for or upon the Lord. They are in a haste to have answers from the Lord. Some has forced God to give them their heart desire in anger, no wonder such they got from God didn’t last (See Hosea 13:11).\nWe should learn to wait patiently for the Lord whenever we make prayers unto Him. This is because; God is not in a hurry to hear our prayers. He has to listen attentively to be able to hear our prayers. But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him, See Acts 10:34-35\n\n \n\nWhen Jesus left the earth, He left 120 behind, which among them were the twelve, the women, the mother of Jesus and his half brothers (see Acts 1:13-14). These once continued in ONE ACCORD in prayer and supplication.\n\n \n\nOn the day of Pentecost, both the men (the twelve inclusive) and the women received the Holy Spirit’s baptism and Spoke in tongues. The baptizer did not have to make it a gender thing. So there was no gender difference. Gender wasn’t a criterion!\n\n \n\nWhen Jesus ascended up on high, led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men, See Ephesians 4:8; He set both men and women free. He also gave gifts unto men. MEN in this context which is ANTHRŌPOS in Greek is defined as HUMAN BEING. So, we can say, Jesus gave gifts to HUMAN BEINGS.\n\n \n\nThe gifts He gave here are MINISTRY GIFTS or MINISTRY OFFICES. They are gifts of APOSTLES, PROPHETS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS and TEACHERS. Each of these gifts and more were given to HUMAN BEINGS which manifests when we become born of God and to be utilized for the growth of the body of Christ on the earth. That’s why parts of human body was used by the apostle Paul to reveal to everyone in Christ that he or she has a MINISTRY or MINISTRIES to render for the growth of the body of Christ, (THE CHURCH).\n\n \n\nEverybody cannot be an APOSTLE, PROPHET, EVANGELIST, PASTOR or TEACHER; but some can. Jesus is the GIVER OF MINISTRY GIFTS and nobody has the power to CHANGE OR DECIDE YOUR GIFT(S).\n\n \n\n“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12\n\n \n\nIf you are sure of the MINISTRY GIFT Jesus has given you, you should be intimidated or be frustrated from being in the ministry by men’s opinion or judgments.\n\n \n\nJesus didn’t give SOME to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. The Bible never say, “He gave some men to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers and no women are not recipients of the gifts. No! The Bible never said that rather it was all human (irrespective of one’s gender) that were recipients of MINISTRY GIFTS.\n\n \n\nBefore you were formed, Jesus the giver of MINISTRY GIFTS gave you your MINISTRY GIFT(S). His gifts and calling are irreversible. They are without repentance. Jesus has given it out, He has given it out and He cannot withdraw it because you are a female or male, a sinner or a righteous.\n\n \n\nThe apostle Paul had his gifts and calling like you and me from BIRTH. He was ignorant of it; but it was there. He became a persecutor of the church and a chief sinner, yet Jesus never withdraw His gifts and calling until he (Paul) came to the point of being BORN OF GOD (Repentance and Regeneration), he realized his gifts and calling and he served Christ with it.\n\n \n\nI want to end with this, 1 Corinthians 12:13 says, “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”  The reason why today’s Church mostly some MEN MINISTERS judges FEMALE MINISTERS for functioning in their different MINISTRY GIFTS and that they should cease to function in such offices like Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher and leave it for men is because; they don’t understand what the word ONE means. Until they come to this fact, we won’t have divided opinion on whether women could function as Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher or not.\n\n \n\nGod is not a respecter of persons, class, races or gender. It is written, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28, “And for that we should always endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (See Ephesians 4:3).\n\n \n\nBy the way, where were men when Barak was begging Deborah to join in their battle, else he wouldn’t go? Where were men when the women following Jesus evangelized them with the gospel of resurrection? Where were men please?\n\n \n\nWomen should be let alone to do the works of Him that called them and gave them gifts to function on for the growth of the body of Christ. Men should stop judging and preventing women from doing the work of the ministry. We, men can’t do it all. It is not only our gender was given MINISTRY GIFTS by the risen and ascended Jesus. But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him, See Acts 10:34-35\n\n \n\nWhen Jesus left the earth, He left 120 behind, which among them were the twelve, the women, the mother of Jesus and his half brothers (see Acts 1:13-14). These once continued in ONE ACCORD in prayer and supplication.\n\n \n\nOn the day of Pentecost, both the men (the twelve inclusive) and the women received the Holy Spirit’s baptism and Spoke in tongues. The baptizer did not have to make it a gender thing. So there was no gender difference. Gender wasn’t a criterion!\n\n \n\nWhen Jesus ascended up on high, led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men, See Ephesians 4:8; He set both men and women free. He also gave gifts unto men. MEN in this context which is ANTHRŌPOS in Greek is defined as HUMAN BEING. So, we can say, Jesus gave gifts to HUMAN BEINGS.\n\n \n\nThe gifts He gave here are MINISTRY GIFTS or MINISTRY OFFICES. They are gifts of APOSTLES, PROPHETS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS and TEACHERS. Each of these gifts and more were given to HUMAN BEINGS which manifests when we become born of God and to be utilized for the growth of the body of Christ on the earth. That’s why parts of human body was used by the apostle Paul to reveal to everyone in Christ that he or she has a MINISTRY or MINISTRIES to render for the growth of the body of Christ, (THE CHURCH).\n\n \n\nEverybody cannot be an APOSTLE, PROPHET, EVANGELIST, PASTOR or TEACHER; but some can. Jesus is the GIVER OF MINISTRY GIFTS and nobody has the power to CHANGE OR DECIDE YOUR GIFT(S).\n\n \n\n“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12\n\n \n\nIf you are sure of the MINISTRY GIFT Jesus has given you, you should be intimidated or be frustrated from being in the ministry by men’s opinion or judgments.\n\n \n\nJesus didn’t give SOME to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. The Bible never say, “He gave some men to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers and no women are not recipients of the gifts. No! The Bible never said that rather it was all human (irrespective of one’s gender) that were recipients of MINISTRY GIFTS.\n\n \n\nBefore you were formed, Jesus the giver of MINISTRY GIFTS gave you your MINISTRY GIFT(S). His gifts and calling are irreversible. They are without repentance. Jesus has given it out, He has given it out and He cannot withdraw it because you are a female or male, a sinner or a righteous.\n\n \n\nThe apostle Paul had his gifts and calling like you and me from BIRTH. He was ignorant of it; but it was there. He became a persecutor of the church and a chief sinner, yet Jesus never withdraw His gifts and calling until he (Paul) came to the point of being BORN OF GOD (Repentance and Regeneration), he realized his gifts and calling and he served Christ with it.\n\n \n\nI want to end with this, 1 Corinthians 12:13 says, “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”  The reason why today’s Church mostly some MEN MINISTERS judges FEMALE MINISTERS for functioning in their different MINISTRY GIFTS and that they should cease to function in such offices like Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher and leave it for men is because; they don’t understand what the word ONE means. Until they come to this fact, we won’t have divided opinion on whether women could function as Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher or not.\n\n \n\nGod is not a respecter of persons, class, races or gender. It is written, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28, “And for that we should always endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (See Ephesians 4:3).\n\n \n\nBy the way, where were men when Barak was begging Deborah to join in their battle, else he wouldn’t go? Where were men when the women following Jesus evangelized them with the gospel of resurrection? Where were men please?\n\n \n\nWomen should be let alone to do the works of Him that called them and gave them gifts to function on for the growth of the body of Christ. Men should stop judging and preventing women from doing the work of the ministry. We, men can’t do it all. It is not only our gender was given MINISTRY GIFTS by the risen and ascended Jesus.
