| body | **Venezuela surrenders to the Blockchain** It's official, you can now buy the pre-sale of Petro on https://regpetro.mppeuct.gob.ve/ This is great news for the cryptocurrency market since it is the first sign of a country to adopt the trust-less and decentralized technology of the blockchain. What does this mean to crypto investors? Well, it means further validation that blockchain is the future. Venezuela promises to back it's crypto currency with its oil reserves and that all official use such as tax payment, salaries, etc will be used in Petro. The pre-sale is done off chain and after the ICO will happen in the NEM platform. The price calculated is around 60 USD with the first investors getting 30% discount rate. This makes the market cap of Petro around 5-6 Billion USD, being the 10th place in terms of market cap with this evaluation. While the question if this is a good investment or not is hard to tell, it does mean good publicity about the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. |

| body | **Introduction:** Stellar is a decentralized protocol for sending and receiving money in any pair of currencies. This means users can, for example, send a transaction from their Yen balance and have it arrive in Euros, Yen, or even bitcoin. It is expecting to support the usual categories of transactions: payments to a merchant, remittances back home, or rent splits with a roommate. It hopes that people will build applications on top of Stellar to help bridge the gap between digital and traditional currencies. Lumens are the native asset of the Stellar network. One lumen is a unit of digital currency, like a bitcoin. They are essential to the Stellar network—they contribute to the ability to move money around the world and to conduct transactions between different currencies quickly and securely. **Coin Rating: 6,8** Stellar is a great project with allot of potential to grow. It has potential to be the leading currency of the future. What sets it back is that it is mostly dependent on an organization that still has around 85% of the coins. **Network Value: 4/10** Lumens is dependent on the Stellar platform which is run by a private company called SDF. It does not have much adoption yet. The distribution of Stellar was by giveaway to people who owned Bitcoin, individuals who wanted lumens and nonprofits. 85% of Lumens are still held by the SDF. This increases the risk due to the problem of centralization. https://dashboard.stellar.org/ Stellar is like Ripple, used to convert foreign currencies. Unlike Ripple, Stellar wants to target the general population and not just banks. It already allows people to host ICOs. **Potential Growth: 7 / 10** It already is in the top 10 coins in terms of market cap. It has a yearly inflation-rate of 1%. Stellar wants to be a vehicle to cross border cross currency transfers like Ripple. But it is not limited to banks and anyone can exchange using Stellar. Stellar could be used as a cryptocurrency-exchange. It already started hosting ICOs. It is easier to program and cheaper than in Ethereum. It could also be used to buy a simple coffee. **Developers Value: 9/10** They have a great team working on github. The founder of Stellar is the same as the founder of Mt. Gox (he sold it before it got hacked) and Ripple. He left Ripple due to disagreements with the vision of the project. **Partnerships: 7/10** IBM announced it would use Stellar to partner with banks to provide cross-country payments in the South Pacific. This will allow someone in Australia to conduct business with someone in Indonesia, and pay via lumens, for example. Also partnered with Stripe. No vision set yet but the possibilities are endless. **Utility 7/10:** Payment method with very low fees. The protocol allows each user to freely publish, store and own data, and in the decentralized autonomous form, decides the distribution, subscription, and push of contents and enables content creators by releasing, circulating and dealing with digital assets, thus forming a decentralized content entertainment ecosystem. **COIN RATING: 2,4/10** TRON does not have a product yet nor a solid plan. The development team have not proven that they have experience or capability to create a solid product. Most investors in TRON do so based on social proofing factors and not because they understand the product. **Relative Network Value: 3/10** Tron is currently an Ethereum token. There is a big community of supporters on reddit and facebook groups. However, due to its recent nature there is no guarantee that people will hold to this coin. It is accepted in allot of exchanges. **Potential Growth: 4/10** For TRON to grow it needs to be able to deliver on the product and be able to compete against the current already existing entertainment platforms such as Google and Facebook. This I find very hard to see happening because the added value to the final consumer is not so obvious. There are other projects attacking the same issue of censorship from a different angle. For example, STEEMIT is already paying its content creators in a decentralized way. At the moment TRON has not created its platform and the developers have little reputation (unlike EOS or Cardano). Only announcements and partnerships can make the price go up. It attracts mostly investors that are entering the crypto market. **Relative Development Value: 2/10** They're lead developer is called Lucien Chen and was working on Alibaba. However, on they're github he is not involved in the project. They had a plagiarized white paper and their wiki is incomplete. Justin Sun is the CEO and he does not have a developer background. **Partnerships: 4/10** Many partnerships it is not clear how this will benefit TRON. https://i.redd.it/4wf5vbo9on901.png None is a major business, although there are rumors that Alibaba could be a partner. I am unsure how a entertainment platform and Alibaba would partner. They have a 10 year road-map (remember how the world was in 2008?) They have a webshop of virtual dogs that resembles Ethereum's crypto-kitties. However TRON dogs is just a regular web shop that accepts TRON as a payment for a virtual card with a dog on it. On the other hand Crytokitties is a contract in the ethereum blockchain that enables people to create and reproduce kitties. There is much noise but little content in the Partnership field. **Utility: 2/10** It is a Ethereum token from an ICO. You can buy virtual dog cards with it. It is accepted in many exchanges. **TL;DR ** TRON is just an idea, does not have a solid development team, does not have a solid plan. I do not recommend investing in it. **Sources:** https://getcrypto.info/tron/ https://tron.game.com/#/market https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast.com https://www.reddit.com/r/Tronix/comments/7b7f3r/question_tron_announced_the_hiring_of_lucien_chen/ http://www.list.wiki/TRON_(TRX) https://github.com/lucien-tronlab |

| body | Introduction: (From Nano website) Nano (formerly know as Raiblocks) is a trustless, low-latency cryptocurrency that utilizes a novel block-lattice architecture, where each account has its own blockchain and achieves consensus via delegated Proof of Stake voting. Offers feeless, instantaneous transactions, as well as unlimited scalability, making Nano ideal for peer-to-peer transactions. The network requires minimal resources, no high-power mining hardware, and can process high transaction throughput. To date, the Nano network has processed over four million transactions with an unpruned ledger size of only 1.7GB. Coin Rating / TLDR : 7,2 / 10 Nano is a innovative and disrupting coin (instant and free transactions!). It’s potential to grow is massive. It’s main problem is that the technology can be replicated and right now there is a small number of adopters. Therefore, the switching cost to another currency is low if a bigger player (Telegram/TON) decides to copy it. But even taking this into account Nano seems to be going far because it does what it is meant to very well. The only thing missing so far is bigger adoption. I would not be surprised to see it as one of the top 10 coins in 2018. Network Value: 6 / 10 Nano has a relative small community compared other cryptocurrencies. This is normal since it is a new coin. You can buy Nano on smaller exchanges and soon via https://nanex.co/ where you can send Litecoins and get directly Nano. It is not mineable and all coins have already been distributed. The coin is relatively young so the switch-over cost is very low and there is danger if a bigger player replicates the concept and take away the market. In terms of security it seems solid. The only way to break it would to buy 51% of the current Nano and set up a Malicious Node that could trick other nodes temporarily. This would be utter stupidity since it would damage the person doing the attack more than anyone else, if it was even possible because good luck in getting 51% of all Nano. https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/wiki/Double-spending-and-confirmation Potential Growth: 10 / 10 Nano is offering allot of value by enabling people to transfer money without any fees and instantaneously. There are very few sites that accept Nano as a payment (https://www.spendraiblocks.com/) so now it is a matter of how fast can Nano get the word out of their value proposition before another competitor replicates the same technology and takes the market. Developers Value: 7 / 10 Nano has a competent team always delivering. There has been some issues in the past that they have been able to deal with (for example the node issue with BitGrail (https://goo.gl/SJzJNL). The project seems to be supported mainly by 1 developer (https://github.com/clemahieu) with help of 4 others. It has small number of contributors so if it scales I am unsure how things will play. Partnerships: 4 / 10 Very little partnerships which is normal in a project that is still in it’s early phase. But this also means it is vulnerable to competitors at this point. Utility: 9 / 10 It gives users possibility of instant and zero fee transactions. You can use it as a form of payment, so the value of it is in direct correlation with the number of users and merchants. In my opinion, as a currency Nano is possibly the best at this moment. Only thing missing is adoption and better wallets. | body | **Introduction:** (FROM THEIR WEBSITE) TRON is a world-leading blockchain-based decentralized protocol that aims to construct a worldwide free content entertainment system with the blockchain and distributed storage technology. The protocol allows each user to freely publish, store and own data, and in the decentralized autonomous form, decides the distribution, subscription, and push of contents and enables content creators by releasing, circulating and dealing with digital assets, thus forming a decentralized content entertainment ecosystem. **COIN RATING: 2,4** The problem solution proposed by TRON is not as valuable as stated. TRON has not show any technical ability to be able to solve such a complex issue. Almost all marketing techniques used by TRON are exaggerations to appeal to new crypto investors. **Relative Network Value: 2** Tron is currently a Ethereum token. There are no miners, no masternodes, not accepted as a payment anywhere, no reason to hold Tron other than speculation. I see many people are speaking well about TRON and it seems to have many supporters. The reddit is very active and it is active on Twitter. **Potential Growth: 4** Tron wants to revolutionize the internet with blockchain. To do this they have to come up with a better solution than the current and attract more customers (not investors). This is already being dome by others with much better projects. For example, STEEMIT is already paying its content creators in a decentralized way. At the moment TRON has nothing to show. They want to give customer a free entertainment platform and pay its content creators. This would be great, but then we have the same as Facebook or Google. And I do not believe that TRON can compete against them, even if they are censor ship free. At the moment its only announcements and partnerships can make the price go up. It attracts investors that are entering the crypto market and do not know what signs to look for a project. **Relative Development Value: 2** I believe Justin Sun to be the next Mark Cuban (and not Jack Ma), in the sense that during the .com bubble Mark Cuban led the company Broadcast to be overvalued and sold to Yahoo! For around 6 billion USD. Justin seems to be a very capable entrepreneur and I am sure he will be very successful in the future. But I do not believe that TRON is going to be successful. They say they have a developer called Lucien Chen that was the senior Alibaba and Tencent engineer expert. I looked for him everywhere and only found a github https://github.com/lucien-tronlab that was not even related to the main Tron project. Their lead developer of Tron is a developer with the github nickname of sasaxie. Could be anyone. He was not involved in anything major in his github but that doesn’t mean much. They had a plagiarized white paper. Their wiki is incomplete. **Partnerships: 4** Tron has a ton of partnerships because of its founder Justin Sun that is also the CEO of Peiwo. They want to be able to give TRON network to the users of Peiwo. But the problem is that they have nothing to give at the moment and they have a 10 year road-map (remember how the world was in 2008?) They have a webshop of virtual dogs that resembles Ethereum's crypto-kitties. The difference is that crypto-kitties (although useless) proves that you can do cool things on Ethereum. On the other hand TRON dogs is just a regular web shop that accepts TRON as a payment for a virtual card with a dog on it. It is pure fake social proofing. All the partnerships I study of TRON resemble something but are nothing. This makes me very suspicious of this project as an individual investor. **Utility: 3** It is a Ethereum token from an ICO. You can buy virtual dog cards with it. It is accepted in many exchanges. **TL;DR ** Don't invest in TRON. **Sources:** https://getcrypto.info/tron/ https://tron.game.com/#/market https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast.com https://www.reddit.com/r/Tronix/comments/7b7f3r/question_tron_announced_the_hiring_of_lucien_chen/ http://www.list.wiki/TRON_(TRX) https://github.com/lucien-tronlab |

| body | **Introduction:** Monero is a cryptocurrency that enables private transactions. That means the sender, receiver, and transaction amount are not publicly viewable, unlike Bitcoin blockchain. It’s transactions stay private using the technology of ring signatures, ringCT, stealth addresses, and I2P routing. This makes Monero the best cryptocurrency for privacy and to be used in the darknet. Its value is expected to rise steady with the crypto market. **COIN RATING: 8** Monero is simply the best currency for anonymous transactions. It is the main currency of the darknet and every agorist dream come true. It’s biggest problem is that its implemented in such a way that it is difficult to make a more user friendly wallet other than the main wallets. Also, because it is pegged to the darknet, governments could go after it at some point. They will never be able to shut it down, but may discourage most investors to invest in it and therefore lower its price. **Relative Network Value: 9** Monero is a PoW mineable coin. The distribution of it is to those who mined and spent electricity on it. Fair and square. It is the main currency of the darknet and the only coin that is 100% anonymous. Its like the pirate bay, governments will go after it. But due to its usefulness to many people seeking to trade outside of government laws I believe it to be one of the strongest networks. **Potential Growth: 7** Monero is serving its target audience, people who want anonymity are using it already. There could be a bigger growth in the future but Monero has a problem of not being user friendly, so it is vulnerable to new competitors that solve the same problem. At the moment it will rise along with the crypto market. That’s allot. **Relative Development Value: 8** Monero is developed mostly by pseudo-anonymous individuals. The work done by them has been solid in the past years. It is in my opinion one of the best projects in the field. **Partnerships 6** Very little partnerships other than privacy concerned organizations. The value proposition of Monero makes it so it is risky to associate yourself with it. However, it is traded in most exchanges so it is relatively simple to purchase Monero. No direct fiat purchase available yet so its price is pegged to Bitcoin. **Utility 10** If I want to hire a hitman to kill off someone I don’t like or buy drugs in the darkweb I will be using Monero. It is by far the best cryptocurrency in terms of privacy. **TL;DR** Monero is the currency of the darkweb. Governments can’t shut it down much less than they can shut down Bitcoin. Its value is expected to rise along with the crypto market. **Sources** https://getmonero.org/resources/research-lab/ https://getmonero.org/resources/roadmap/ https://getmonero.org/resources/moneropedia/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/ https://www.monero.how/ |

| body | *DISCLAIMER: Dash is part of my crypto portfolio investment* **Introduction:** Dash is a PoW Blockchain cryptocurrency that has a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) working on top of it. The DAO works in a way that users with more than 1000 Dash can vote on implementations to the network and how to distribute part of the block rewards. It is similar how Bitcoin works but the advantage is that it is easier to reach a consensus on the new implementation. So, if new factors come into play in the crypto world Dash is able to adapt to it in a better way. **Coin value: 7,2** It is a stable well-functioning coin that has a good potential to grow. The masternode layer makes Dash more robust and easier to implement new features such as instant and private transactions. It has ambitions to become the currency to be used in the day-to-day trade. **Relative Network Value: 9** Dash is a mineable currency like Bitcoin. It uses PoW algorithm to distribute its block reward. On top of that it has a network of masternodes. The masternodes work as a second layer to the miners and they make it possible to implement Instant Transactions, Private transactions and vote on consensus of the network. (Avoiding the current war that is ongoing in the Bitcoin world) Note that Instant and private transactions are not by default and you need to be running a Dash Core Wallet to use them. Masternodes are also able to vote on the use of 10% of the block rewards and different implementations to the network. This makes it very easy to reach consensus. The funding of projects is sometimes strange thing to see. Dash as some sort of obsession to sponsor MMA fighters which I have yet to understand. https://www.ccn.com/mma-title-contender-rory-macdonald-talks-dash-sponsorship-ahead-bellator-192/ To be fair the masternodes do pay the developers and marketeers of Dash with the voting. So at least most of the funds are used in proper way. Masternodes get a percentage of the block reward. Taking into account that you need 1000 Dash (or 900,000 Dollars) to have a masternode then I doubt that people with masternodes would do anything to compromise the network. They get annually around 7-10% in ROI making masternode quite a lucrative investment. In it’s infancy there was a large amount of Dash that was easily mined by the first miners and the founders. Some people seem to be worried by this but due to the long time Dash has existed I think this is not relevant anymore. **Potential Growth: 7** Dash wants to be able to implement instant transactions for all their wallets. When they can make this happen then Dash would become the best PoW currency by far for day-to-day use. Only thing holding me back is that the Evolution (https://www.dash.org/evolution/) project is ongoing for quite awhile now without being released. The sooner Dash is able to release Evolution the better chance it has to take the market before the new generation like XRB. Evolution is a light-weight wallet that makes it able for anyone to make private and instant transactions. It also has an API making it very easy to develop projects on top of Dash. **Relative Team Value: 9** The creator of Dash is still in the project and has ambitious plans to make Dash the best currency to be used day-to-day. They have their own marketing team and developing team that is funded by the masternodes. In terms of decentralized teams, Dash has one of the best. https://github.com/dashpay/ **Partnerships: 5** Dash has very little partnerships relative to its age and bigger companies do not seem to want to endorse it. This is because in my theory, Dash works also as an organization that has ambitious plans to decentralize everything and compete against most businesses that give a second layer to Cryptocurrencies (Exchanges, Point of Sale Services, E-commerce) It is being traded in most crypto exchanges but not yet able to be traded directly for fiat. Therefore, it’s price is mostly linked to Bitcoin. This could change because Robinhood has said they will start trading with Dash. Dash was being used by some visa card companies like Shakepay, but Visa banned them. **Utility: 6** Currently it works as an alternative to Bitcoin (similar to Litecoin, BCash) with lower fees and faster transaction times. With the ban on crypto visa card (such as Shakepay) that where using Dash it became less useful because you can no longer trade directly Dash for fiat. You need 1000 Dash to run a Dash Masternode. Masternodes are a lucrative business and they provide a important feature to the Network. The masternode layer makes the Dash price very stable because allot of funds are locked in these masternodes. In short, Dash is used as a currency a store of value and as a share of the Dash network. **Sources:** https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOC/pages https://www.dashforcenews.com/ https://www.reddit.com/r/dashpay/ https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DOC/Official+Documentation http://dashvotetracker.com/ https://www.dash.org/forum |
