আপনি আমাকে 'তুমি' বলে সম্বোধন করলে আমি অনেক খুশি হবো, চাচা।\n\n– ঠিক আছে, বাবা! তোমাকে আমি 'তুমি' করেই বলবো।\n\n– চাচা, দয়া করে আপনি সিটটায় বসে যান, প্লিজ চাচা।\n\n– না, বাবা! তুমি এতো দূর কীভাবে দাঁড়িয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে যাবে! এছাড়া, তোমার হাতে দুই-দুইটি ভারী ব্যাগও দেখছি। তোমার তো কষ্ট হয়ে যাবে রে বাবা।\n\n– চাচা, আপনাকে একটি কথা বলি?\n\n– কী কথা, বাবা?\n\n– চাচা, আপনি কি চান আমি কষ্ট পাই?\n\n– না, বাবা! তা চাইবো কেন?\n\n– তাহলে চাচা, আপনি দয়া করে সিটটায় বসুন। আপনি মুরব্বি মানুষ। আপনি আমার চোখের সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে যাবেন আর আমি যুবক যার কিনা দাঁড়িয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে যাওয়ার সক্ষমতা রয়েছে সে বসে বসে তা দেখে দেখে যাবে তাতে যে আমার কষ্ট-ই হবে, চাচা! আর হাতের ব্যাগ নিয়ে চিন্তা করবেন না। এগুলো তেমন ভারী না, চাচা। ব্যাগগুলো আমি আমার পায়ের এক পাশে রেখে দেবো।তাতে কোনো সমস্যা হবে না। ইং শা আল্লাহ!\n\nঅবশেষে সিয়ামের এতো করে অনুরোধের প্রেক্ষিতে তিনি সিটটায় না বসে পারলেন না। তার এমন মানসিকতা এবং অমায়িকতা দেখে তিনি অভিভূত হয়ে গেলেন।\n\nএদিকে, লোকটির সাথে সিয়ামের এমন অমায়িক ব্যবহার দেখে পাশের সিটগুলোতে বসে থাকা যাত্রীগুলো বেশ অবাক দৃষ্টিতে তার দিকে তাকিয়ে রইলেন। হয়ত অনেকেই তার এমন আচরণ দেখে মুগ্ধ হয়েছেন। আবার হয়ত অনেকেই ভাবছিলেন আমিও তো প্রথমে লোকটার জন্য নিজের সিটটা ছেড়ে দিতে পারতাম। যাইহোক, এমন উপলব্ধি যদি তাদের পরবর্তী কোনো যাত্রায় সিয়ামের ভূমিকায় অবর্তীণ করাতে পারে তাহলেই তো সার্থক।\n\nঅতঃপর লোকটি সিটে বসার পর মায়াভরা চাহনিতে সিয়ামের মুখের দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখলেন, সে কী যেনো ফিসফিস করে পড়ছিলো। তাই তিনি তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,\n\nআচ্ছা, বাবা! তুমি ফিসফিস করে কী এসব পড়ছো?\n\n– চাচা, হায়াত মউতের কথা তো আর বলা যায় না। কবে না আবার মালাকুল মউতের সাথে সাক্ষাৎ হয়ে যায়। তাই মৃত্যুর প্রস্তুতি হিসেবে দোয়া দূরদ পড়ে নিচ্ছি। তাছাড়া, রাস্তায় চলা অবসর সময়ে যিকির-আযগার এবং ইস্তেগফারে মশগুল থাকলে একদিকে যেমন সময়টাও কাটে তেমনি অন্যদিকে আখিরাতের জন্য পাথেয়ও সংগ্রহ হতে থাকে।\n\n– বাবা রে! এই যুগে তোমার মতো ঠগবগে যুবকরা গাড়িতে উঠলে যেখানে কানে ইয়ার ফোন লাগিয়ে সারাটা পথ গান শুনতে শুনতে যায়, গেইম খেলে খেলে যায় কিংবা মোবাইল টিপতে টিপতে যায় আর সেখানে তুমি কিনা মৃত্যুর ফিকির করছো। এইতো, আমি নিজেও বুড়ো হয়ে যাচ্ছি তারপরও এসব চিন্তা কেন জানি মাথায় তেমন আসে না। আর তুমি বুঝি মৃত্যুর প্রস্তুতি নিয়েই চলছো। তোমার কাছ থেকে অন্যেদের কথা আর কী বলবো আমি বুড়োর-ই অনেক কিছু শিখার থাকলো। তোমার মা-বাবার প্রতিও দোয়া রইলো। না জানি তারা কতো মহান! নিশ্চয়ই তারা তোমাকে এসব শিক্ষা দিয়ে বড়ো করে তুলেছেন। তাই তো তোমার ব্যবহার ও চিন্তাধারা এত চমৎকার!\n\n– চাচা, আমি আপনার প্রশংসার উপযুক্ত নই। তবুও আপনাকে ধন্যবাদ। আর বিশেষ করে আমার মা-বাবার জন্য আপনি দোয়া করবেন, চাচা।\n\n– হ্যাঁ, বাবা! তাদের জন্য তো অবশ্যই দোয়া করবো। সন্তানের এমন আচরণ দেখে তার জন্মদাতা পিতা-মাতার জন্য এমনিতেই দোয়া চলে আসে রে বাবা।\n\nঅবশেষে নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে বাস থামার পর বাস থেকে নেমে ওই চাচা সিয়ামের কাছ থেকে বিদায় নিবেন এমন সময় তিনি বলে উঠলেন, বাবা! তোমাকে আমি অনেক কষ্ট দিয়ে ফেলেছি। সারাটা পথ-ই তুমি দাঁড়িয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে এসেছো। তোমার মতো সুন্দর চরিত্রের মানুষের জন্য দোয়া করতে হাত তুলতে হয় না, মন থেকেই স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে দোয়া চলে আসে। আল্লাহ তোমার মঙ্গল করুন, বাবা!\n\nলোকটির কথা শুনে সিয়াম বলল, চাচা! আসার পথে হয়তবা নিজের অজান্তে কোনো বেয়াদবি করে থাকতে পারি, দু-একবার আপনার পায়ের সাথে আমার পা-ও লেগেছে। আমাকে এজন্য মাফ করবেন, চাচা। আমার প্রতি মনে কোনো কষ্ট রাখবেন না।\n\n– বাবারে কী বলছো এসব! তুমি যেভাবে কথাবার্তা বলছো এসব কথাবার্তায় আমি দেখছি আমার কষ্ট আরও বাড়বে। কারণ এভাবে কথা বলায় তোমার প্রতি আমার মায়া বাড়ছেই। আর এই যে আমি এখন নেমে যাচ্ছি, তুমি আমার চোখের আড়াল হয়ে যাচ্ছো, এখন তো শুধু তোমার কথা মনে হতে থাকবে। অথচ তোমাকে কাছে পাবো না। আর এতেই আমার কষ্ট হবে।\n\nকীভাবে যে তুমি এই সামান্য সময়ে এত মায়া লাগাতে পারলে, এত আপন করে নিতে পারলে। ছোটবেলায় মুরব্বিদের মুখে শুনতাম, আলোকিত মানুষেরা নাকি যেদিকেই যায় সেদিকেই তারা আলো ছড়াতে থাকে। আমি যেন আজ তেমনই এক জীবন্ত আলোর সন্ধান পেয়েছি। যাইহোক, নেমে যাওয়ার সময় হয়ে গেছে। না হলে আরও কথা বললে ভালো লাগত।\n\n– না চাচা আমি আসলে ওরকম কিছুই না। যা বলেছেন তা আপনার দয়াগুণে বলেছেন। চাচা, আমি আপনার জন্য দোয়া করব। আপনিও আমার জন্য দোয়া করবেন, চাচা।\n\n– হ্যাঁ বাবা। তাহলে আমি এখন নেমে যাচ্ছি।\n\n-- ঠিক আছে, চাচা। 'আস্তাওদিউল্লাহ দিনাকা, ওয়া আমানাতাকা'\n\n( গল্পের বাকি অংশ শেষ পর্বে থাকছে। ইং শা আল্লাহ )\n\n\n\nলেখক : রাকিব আলী",
