For example, I recently found one useful article where I learned about sql server date format convert . Everything is well and clearly described here, I think it will be clear even to beginners in this topic.

bodyHere are a few tips on how to effectively handle concurrent updates: - Transactions are not supported by all database types. Although MyISAM is still supported, it is not MySQL's default database engine. - Due to circumstances beyond your control, transactions may not proceed. If this happens, you'll need to be ready to re-enter your application's BEGIN WORK code. - Otherwise, the first select can read data that other transactions have not yet committed (transactions aren't like mutexes in programming languages). - If there are concurrent ongoing SERIALIZABLE transactions, some databases will throw an error, and you will have to restart the transaction. - SELECT.. FOR UPDATE locks the rows retrieved by select until the end of the transaction in some databases. To deal with concurrent updates easier, you can use these helpful SQL Tools.

bodyThere are several uses for triggers in SQL Server, including the following: - Performing additional checks on the affected table while performing insert, update, or delete actions. - They allow users to encode sophisticated default values that default constraints can't handle. - All databases must have referential integrity. - If you have a view that uses many tables, you may use these controls to fine-tune what happens when you conduct an insert, update, or delete operation. - The use of triggers allows you to create a table with aggregated columns that you may manipulate. - Using triggers in auditing and enforcing business rules is the best option. It is possible to keep track of table modifications by creating an audit log record that contains information about the user who made the change and what was modified using a trigger. You can also use a stored procedure, but if you do so, you won't be able to log changes that were made directly to the database. It is worth mentioning that a helpful SQL Manager will automate a lot of processes.

bodySome tables may be unnecessary if their names include the suffixes "_TEMP," "__TEMP," and "__TEMP" (as long as this is what is being done for objects that are temporary in nature). All database tables can be retrieved using the sys.all_objects system table, and the type of the object can be restricted to 'U', and then the unwanted tables can be deleted. If the owner of the system failed to rename the tables, we must devise a method for identifying the tables that are no longer in use. If you'd like to know how many scans, searches, and updates have been performed on your database tables since the SQL Service was last restarted, use the sys.dm_db_index_usage_stats DMV in your system. SQL Server restarted, and any table that has not been used since then can be assumed to be an unused table in our query. titleSolution When ISJSON May Not Be A Recognized Function Name
bodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyoTI16qUns
Check out the solution in the video Schema validation failed: 'ISJSON' is not a recognized built-in function name. First, note the version of Microsoft SQL Server that we're using. This is key because we'll see this error if we're using an older version of Microsoft SQL Server. Second, before upgrading our SQL Server environment, we want to evaluate what we have and be sure that this is the best choice (see below for more information for considerations). Finally, we have some options outside of SQL Server to convert JSON if we need to get data from a JSON format before extracting the data and importing it into SQL Server.

Check out the highest-rated Automating ETL course on Udemy, if you're interested in data.

We will find that some environments are using legacy systems (this may have advantages in both cost and security). While we can upgrade these environments, we will want to ensure that our database environment will be compatible with an upgrade. Changes may affect existing code, especially if code or features are deprecated. Also, we want to ensure that our environment can handle this security and cost change - these two cannot be overlooked. Upgrading an environment for one function is definitely not worth it, but if there are other reasons to upgrade, this may be worth the effort. This requires a comprehensive review of the environment. In the meantime if we cannot immediately upgrade our environment, we can look at alternatives converting JSON, such as scripting languages or the language we're using in our software application (if applicable). In general, depending on the JSON file or source, this may be faster. For instance, extracting and designing a schema from a JSON API source would be much faster with a scripting or OOP language in general.

YouTube | Automating ETL | T-SQL In 2 Hours | Consumer Guide To Digital Security

titleCreating a GUID For Each GUID
bodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGv2nZDTfQ4
What happens when we run into a situation where we need to create a GUID for reach GUID? Check out the solution in the video TSQL: Create A GUID For Each GUID (Unique Identifier For Each Unique Identifier). As you can see, we learn how to solve this rare event.

Some questions that are answered in the video:

What is the possible combination of GUIDs?

How many GUIDs of each GUID combinations would we have?

What is a more likely combinatino of GUID plus another identifier?

For mastering data transformation from one form to another form, check out the highest-rated Automating ETL course on Udemy. There are some cases where we will - when we have a significant number of data points for another significant set of data points. It's useful to know how to accomplish this in T-SQL in the less-than-common event that we'll use it.

Are you looking for tech consultants that can assist with design and development? titleGet A Past Bash Command Quickly
bodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifiWrO7FFpo
It's one thing to to surf for past Bash commands if we've only run a few of them in one day, but what if we've been running hundreds (or thousands) of Bash commands and we want to look through our history to get one and re-use it quickly? Given that a short command could easily be typed, we'll assume that we're surfing for a past command that would take some time to type out, or a past command that we may have forgotten and need to consider. What happens when we want to get that specific Bash command without re-typing the whole thing in this scenario? In the video, Bash Hack: Get History and Select Past Command In Bash, we learn how we can look through past Bash commands and select one for re-use.

Some examples we see in the video:

What's a quick way to get the past commands in Bash that we see in the video?

For quick re-use (and to save us time), how to set the current command to a past one?

Think of an example when this may be useful - consider that sometimes our commands will be similar to each other and we can get a past command, make a quick edit, then execute it.

In the context of security, what might be something we want to consider when we write a command that might involve information we may not want "surfable"? What is a way that we can protect this data?

For mastering data transformation from one form to another form, check out the highest-rated Automating ETL course on Udemy. Keep in mind that we'll want to confirm that we obtained the correct past command or else we may end up running something that we didn't want (depends on the actual command). I also note how we can search the history of past commands, then extract what we want and edit as appropriate (if required). Given that this feature exists, it should raise concerns about the commands that we use - a history of these exist and we want to reflect over this in the context of security. While this goes unmentioned, we should be extremely careful about running commands with key data, such as passwords, certificates, etc.

Are you looking for tech consultants that can assist with design and development? titleConnecting A Data Factory To An Existing Runtime In Azure
bodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpvmNyTLDxE
With Azure Data Factory, we can connect on premise assets to Azure resources, such as an on premise database to an Azure database. At this time, this will require an on premise runtime that communicates with both the on premise resource and the Azure resource. In the video Connect Azure Data Factory To Existing Runtime, we see how to connect an Azure Data Factory to an existing run time (to set up a runtime on premise, review the video How To Setup A Runtime for Azure Data Factory, as this video assumes that we have a runtime setup on one of our servers that has been linked to a data factory). While not discussed in the video, we should review the security of our design - we want to be extremely careful connection on premise assets to the cloud. If we will be sending data from an on premise asset, make sure that both the server with the data and the server running the runtime (if different) are isolated.

For mastering data transformation from one form to another form, check out the highest-rated Automating ETL course on Udemy. For a coupon to the course, check out the trailer video on the channel SQL In Six Minutes.

Once we have our runtime setup, we can grant permissions from this runtime to Azure Data Factories. We will want to consider how many data factories we want to share this with, as well as whether sharing this will comply with some of our other standards. For an example, we should not connect one runtime to our Sandbox-QA-Preproduction-Production environments for multiple reasons - scaling, testing and security, to name a few reasons. The only exception to this would be if we were demonstrating what NOT to do.
\n\n
\nFor mastering data transformation from one form to another form, check out the highest-rated Automating ETL course on Udemy. The same logic applies if we're connecting a runtime to multiple assets within an environment: we want to consider scale early, as it will be more costly if we make adjustments later.
\n\n
Are you looking for tech consultants that can assist with design and development? titleBacking Up A Database With MongoDump
bodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrikV7xtQOw
Review how to backup a database with a built-in tool in MongoDB: How To Backup With MongoDump. titleSQL Basics: Using UNION ALL or UNION and Why
bodyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9kz_DhyWT8&list=PLHHm85xMQAYNScEs-nu9gzi2uoQ9JCCYA&index=11
In some cases, we need to combine the result of two tables where data types may be similar or identical. We could combine the data in one table using INSERT syntaxes, but with UNION ALL or UNION, we can achieve the same result instead of creating a new table. In the video, SQL Basics: How To Use UNION ALL and Why we see several examples of this in action. One example we union tables with the same data type and in another example, we union two columns that have different data types.

Note the tables that we're using and what values are identical based on the column names and what values differ based on the column names. We'll be using these tables throughout these videos. We'll notice that if we union two data types that are not similar (varchar and int), we get a clash. This is because these are not like data types; we can union an int and a smallint because they are like data types, but data types that do not fall into these categories will clash and cause us to get errors. What if we need to union two different data types? We can cast or convert the data types to match each other, such as casting an int to a varchar so that we can union two varchars. Keep in mind that we don't need to do this if two data types fall into the same category (ie: different lengths of ints, varchars, etc). In some cases, we may do the casting or converting of data types in the application layer; however, this means that we won't be able to use UNION or UNION ALL as we'll still have a clash.

One applied example of using unions is error logs. Often we have error logs for the database, application and other possible layers. It's useful to identify when an error happened and how that error translated across layers. Unioning tables with the errors by combining the error and date can be useful when we order by the time of the error. We can often find out where the error originated and how it impacted all the layers of our application or service.
