That person has the power and can exercise it as they wish, even if it means rejecting the Bitcoin revolution.",

It has a volatility to it that has no relation to practically anything. It's a very, very poor alternative to gold.”\n\nRay Dalio seems to be pretending to understand that the point of Bitcoin is not whether central banks endorse it or not, but rather that Bitcoin represents the transparent, decentralized, open central bank for the many.\n\nA different concept.\n\nRay Dalio still believes that governments and central banks have the power to destroy Bitcoin\n\n“They can outlaw Bitcoin. They can regulate it. Central banks and countries pretty much don't want it anyway.”\n\nRay Dalio finally clarified that in his eyes Bitcoin gets far too much attention compared to its size.\n\nOn this last point, there are two things to consider in my opinion.\n\nThe first is that Ray Dalio doesn't seem to understand that the attention here is proportional to Bitcoin's potential for the future, not to its current market cap.\n\nThe second, which in a sense makes Ray Dalio partly right, is that Bitcoin at its current market cap is not an immediate threat to the current financial system, as the powerful people at the head of the current system would have us believe.\n\nIt is not Bitcoin with its $600B market cap that puts the current system at risk of collapse contrary to what people like Christine Lagarde, Janet Yellen, or Elizabeth Warren may say.\n\nIn the past, Ray Dalio has explained that “Bitcoin is one hell of an invention.” He does not deny himself but still thinks that Bitcoin will not be able to accomplish what Bitcoiners envision in the future.\n\nAn opponent of Bitcoin who has the merit of giving more measured and thoughtful arguments than Warren Buffett and his friends.\n\nOn the other end of the spectrum, you have a far-sighted person like Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, who does a good job of highlighting why Bitcoin has performed so well since the beginning of 2023 and even more so since the banking crisis in America began:\n\n“Why have Bitcoin and other crypto assets appreciated during this banking crisis? In our view and in contrast to those in the traditional financial world, many crypto assets face no central points of failure: they are decentralized, transparent, and auditable.”\n\nThe three keywords are :\n\n**Decentralized | Transparent | Auditable**\n\nBitcoin perfectly implements these three principles, which are likely to restore people's confidence in a monetary system.\n\nBecause the current system is the complete opposite of that. It is impossible for a private individual, for example, to audit the current system. Something that the powerful people at the head of the current system do not want to see happens.\n\nThese powerful people are too afraid to lose their power of money creation and the privileges that the flaws of the current system give them.\n\nThe energy consumption of Bitcoin is just a pretext used to criticize Bitcoin to the general public.\n\nIf the energy consumption of human activities was something that really concerned the powerful people at the head of the current system, and I include the media that are relays, then they would have already carried out investigations on thousands of other activities that are energy consuming, and that unlike Bitcoin do not bring anything to the people.\n\nAn example?\n\nHave you ever seen a media investigation telling you that Christmas lights are total heresy?\n\nNo!\n\nBut it is. It serves no purpose whatsoever, but it continues to be done year after year.\n\nThis is just one example, but it should alert you to the fact that the media is only spreading the governments' anti-Bitcoin message.\n\nThe day you open your eyes to this reality, you will have taken a big step.",

Saylor announced that MicroStrategy had just made another Bitcoin purchase: 1,045 BTC at an average price of $28,016 for $29,276,720.\n\nAs you can see from [the Bitcoin DCA like Michael J. Saylor web page](https://www.bitcoinpriceinwords.com/bitcoindcalikesaylor.htm) that I have been maintaining for just over two years, this was MicroStrategy's 26th BTC purchase since August 11, 2020, when Michael J. Saylor made his “Bitcoin coming out”:\n\n![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZVHvawBTmApAk43WTnrDE6qKQ27cA6AZyu2jhi3HzbvM/image.png)\n\nAs you can see, Michael J. Saylor's DCA strategy with MicroStrategy could not be more classic: he buys Bitcoin no matter what the price of Bitcoin is. He has been buying Bitcoin at all price levels since August 2020: $10K, $20K, $30K, $40K, and $50K, ...\n\nWhen you fundamentally believe in the Bitcoin revolution and you understand the why of Bitcoin, why deprive yourself if you can afford it?\n\nAfter all, buying Bitcoin is protecting your money from the risks of the collapse of the current monetary and financial system. That's why more and more people are turning to Bitcoin now.\n\nWhen you understand the why of Bitcoin, you don't see buying BTC as a risk, but rather as a way to hedge against the risk of the current flawed and not fixable system.\n\nAs of this writing, MicroStrategy has 140,000 BTC in its treasury.\n\nThis clearly means that MicroStrategy holds 1/150th of all the Bitcoin that will be in circulation by 2140. That's pretty impressive considering that it's “only” been 2.5 years since MicroStrategy joined the Bitcoin revolution.\n\nThe 140,000 BTC held by MicroStrategy is also impressive when compared to what companies that have chosen to hold Bitcoin in their treasury hold:\n\n![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmSTP19kkvpCR9knzdyDnXHoD2C7dYCWmG7b7pSWMr1cJX/image.png)\n\nMicroStrategy is in a world of its own.\n\nThe craziest thing here is that MicroStrategy's Bitcoin position is valued at $3.9B, while MicroStrategy's current market cap is “only” $3.35B.\n\nNo wonder MicroStrategy has been outperforming the stock market since Michael J. Saylor's August 2020 pick.\n\nWhen Bitcoin reaches a price of $100K, as it is a matter of time in my eyes, MicroStrategy will be sitting in a cash position of $14B. Imagine if Bitcoin ever reaches the price of $1M...\n\nThat being said, some people don't seem to like the fact that Michael J. Saylor is raking in all the Bitcoin that others are making the mistake of selling to him with MicroStrategy. I've had people tell me in the last few days that having one company own so much BTC is hurting Bitcoin's decentralization.\n\nHere's an example of a comment I've had:\n\n![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZtA98r3TnGBPkJYkkiqqqhiKVtJZoSTiTTJ1tVu4H9BK/image.png)\n\nSo I thought it was important to respond to this type of comment that I have been receiving and seeing all over the Internet in the last few days.\n\nI'm not going to keep you waiting any longer and I'm going to bust the myth right now: the fact that Michael J. Saylor owns 140,000 BTC with MicroStrategy, and maybe more by the time you read this article, does not hurt the decentralization of Bitcoin.\n\nThe fact that a single individual owns 0.667% of the total Bitcoin supply does not change the fact that Bitcoin is a decentralized system.\n\nWhy is that? Simply because at the heart of Bitcoin is the Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm that makes Bitcoin superior and unique as I explain in my book [“The Truth About Bitcoin\"](https://amzn.to/3jlTvKH).\n\nWith Bitcoin's consensus algorithm, owning more BTC than someone else doesn't change anything: you have no more privilege than anyone else over how Bitcoin works, nor do you have any more rights than anyone else over the future of Bitcoin. Even if MicroStrategy owns 140,000 BTC, Michael J. Saylor is no more important than the person who owns 0.1 BTC.\n\nAll users are equal within the Bitcoin system.\n\nIt would be a different matter if Bitcoin had made the same mistake as Ethereum by switching to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) which gives more weight to Ether's biggest HODLers. At this point, you might say that Michael J. Saylor is endangering the future of the centralized censorship machine that Ethereum has become since its switch to PoS.\n\nBut with Bitcoin, no worries. That is why Bitcoin must, and will, stay with PoW as its consensus algorithm.\n\nFor the other accusation that Michael J. Saylor could do more for the adoption of Bitcoin, I find that the person who made this comment is quick to forget everything that Michael J. Saylor has already done and will do.\n\nMichael J. Saylor has influenced many people to open their eyes to the potential of the Bitcoin revolution for both corporations and individuals. Despite the constant attacks he has received from those who would like to drive down the price of Bitcoin, he has always followed his original philosophy: [Bitcoin HODLer one day, Bitcoin HODLer forever](https://www.inbitcoinwetrust.net/bitcoin-hodler-one-day-bitcoin-hodler-forever/).\n\nHe has participated in numerous conferences, television shows, and podcasts to help people understand the why of Bitcoin. He has never been a Sh*tcoiner taking advantage of the Bull Market to promote himself and attract attention like Elon Musk for example...\n\nMichael J. Saylor started Saylor University where people can learn about Bitcoin or development around the Bitcoin Blockchain while getting certified. He has explained over and over again how Bitcoin is already a plan A for the unbanked people of the earth which are around 1.6B according to the latest data from the World Bank.\n\nIn short, Michael J. Saylor is a tremendous advocate for Bitcoin. He has done a lot so far and I remain confident that he will continue to do so in the future, as great things are to come.\n\nThe only risk you could credibly identify with this concentration of BTC in the hands of one company is the risk of that company causing a complete panic by selling a large amount of BTC.\n\nBut I think Michael J. Saylor has already shown us that he has no interest in doing that because he understands that what lies ahead for Bitcoin is far greater than what Bitcoin has achieved so far. Personne n’avait encore jamais vu une telle envolée se produire. Le marché des crypto monnaies a atteint un niveau si élevé si rapidement que moins d’un an après, alors que nous revenons dans cette zone aux alentours des 7500 dollars pour le Bitcoin, un grand nombre d’investisseurs sont pris d’une peur soudaine.\n\n![comment_la_manipulation_du_marche_fonctionne_t_elle.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTNjRShi98u9VJYMZ61f5WEVobjjHKMZZJ9vFCUf1FnyW/comment_la_manipulation_du_marche_fonctionne_t_elle.png)\n\nCes crypto investisseurs de la dernière heure étaient effrayés à l’idée de voir [le Bitcoin](https://www.toutsurlebitcoin.fr/quest-ce-que-le-bitcoin.htm) chuter en-dessous des 8000 dollars, tout comme ils sont effrayés aujourd’hui à l’idée de le voir basculer en-deçà des 6000 dollars. Leur peur s’apparente à la crainte d’une chute dans les profondeurs d’un abîme. Ces personnes ne semblent pas comprendre les forces mystérieuses qui contribuent à régir la valeur de marché du Bitcoin alors que ces forces sont invariablement liées aux nouvelles de type FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) / Bullish (nouvelles haussières dans le cadre de la finance) ou à la manipulation pure et simple du marché des crypto monnaies.\n\n## Spoofing\n\nEn dépit de la nature plus que complexe du marché des crypto monnaies et de celui de la finance d’une manière générale, la forme la plus commune et efficace de manipulation de marché se révèle finalement assez simple. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour manipuler le prix du Bitcoin et des autres crypto monnaies est de beaucoup d’argent.\n\n![manipulation_du_bitcoin.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmV3vW9XNrMUBwBTuaXKwpNUDzpzgcguCap9EVimufVgVb/manipulation_du_bitcoin.png)\n\nCette méthode est connue sous le nom de \"Spoofing\". Il arrive fréquemment que des manoeuvres de spoofing soient décelées sur les places d’échanges en crypto monnaies. Plus un marché présente de faibles volumes d’échanges, plus il s’avère simple de le manipuler. Ainsi, même si le Bitcoin est la crypto monnaie avec le plus gros volume d’échanges, la manipulation de son cours est bien plus aisée en comparaison du marché de la finance traditionnelle où les volumes atteignent des niveaux bien plus élevés.\n\nDe nombreux experts de Wall Street ainsi que le crypto trader Ronnie Moas ont ainsi alerté à plusieurs reprises sur ces manipulations des cours dans le monde des crypto monnaies. Ronnie Moas donne ainsi un exemple typique de manipulation via spoofing :\n\n*\"Si vous avez 2 milliards de dollars, vous voulez un portefeuille diversifié. Pour moi, diversifié est une position de 200 000 dollars, mais il peut y avoir une position de 200 millions de dollars, parce que vous voulez 10% de votre argent placé sur le Bitcoin. Mais vous ne voulez pas payer 20 000 dollars pour un Bitcoin, alors ce que vous faites – et cela peut s’appliquer à une Baleine (les fameux Whales du Bitcoin), un Cartel, un Requin, un Consortium, un Groupe de trading – vous balancez entre 20 et 40 millions de dollars sur le marché, et vous créez une pression sur la vente. Les gens voient ces ordres dans le carnet d’ordres en face d’eux. Ils vont sauter dans le piège parce qu’ils vont avoir peur que vous bougiez et secouiez le marché, et le phénomène se nourrit ensuite de lui-même.\"*\n\nBien entendu, il ne s’agit pas du seul moyen existant pour manipuler les cours sur le marché, mais c’est probablement le plus direct. Contrairement aux méthodes qui vont suivre, il n’est pas nécessaire de communiquer avec la communauté. Vous n’avez \"simplement\" qu’à accumuler de gros montants d’argent, placer des ordres de ventes massifs qui vont être vus sur le carnet d’ordres, puis attendre sagement que le marché capitule car pris de panique. En faisant cela, les gens feront votre jeu.\n\nLes gens vont essayer de vendre avant que l’ordre massif, qu’ils viennent de voir apparaître, ne fasse baisser les prix. C’est ainsi leur réaction qui va faire baisser les prix. Pendant ce temps, le manipulateur avec de grosses capacités financières annule son ordre de vente, puis le replace encore à plusieurs reprises jusqu’à temps que les prix soient suffisamment bas. Il peut alors commencer à accumuler beaucoup de crypto monnaies qu’il aurait dû acheter à un prix plus élevé lorsqu’il a entamé son travail de manipulation.\n\nDans un marché des crypto monnaies relativement jeune et peu réglementé, c’est de loin la méthode la plus simple mais elle est également illégale. Le gouvernement des Etats-Unis a même lancé récemment une enquête sur la manipulation du marché des crypto monnaies et celle-ci se concentre tout particulièrement sur le spoofing.\n\n## Layering\n\nLe \"Layering\" ressemble fortement au spoofing mais avec des intentions légèrement différentes. L’accès au carnet d’ordres ainsi que son analyse en un temps très court permettent cette stratégie. Les traders qui pratiquent le layering vont placer de nombreux ordres à des prix clés dans le carnet d’ordres dans l’espoir de réserver des positions clés à l’avance. Quel est le problème avec cette stratégie ?\n\nComme pour le spoofing, les traders n’ont en réalité aucune intention de faire ces transactions. Au maximum, ils en ciblent une ou deux. Bien qu’ils n’essaient pas obligatoirement de gonfler les prix en transformant la perception qu’a la public des demandes sur le marché, c’est exactement ce qu’ils font en plaçant des ordres (potentiellement massifs) dans le carnet d’ordres qui ne seront jamais satisfaits. Cela conduit les investisseurs à avoir une vision biaisée et faussée de la demande sur le marché provoquant une manipulation des prix comme dans le cas du spoofing. Ces deux techniques peuvent être utilisées conjointement et sont bien entendu parfaitement illégales.\n\n## Pumping and Dumping\n\nCette méthode est un petit peu plus élaborée que les précédentes. De fait, elle est plus difficile à mettre en oeuvre. Elle est beaucoup plus efficace avec [les Altcoins](https://www.toutsurlebitcoin.fr/quest-ce-que-les-altcoins.htm) ayant de faibles volumes qu’avec les crypto monnaies à forte capitalisation. Néanmoins, elle peut être employée quelque fois avec ces dernières.\n\n![pump_and_dump.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmd1YteiQUPL6caAXs9AL9kiMcbutiQ2VxCTsttNyfZJgY/pump_and_dump.png)\n\nLes mouvements de pump and dumps sont orchestrés par le biais de fake news ou de fausses promotions. L’idée est simple : les personnes à l’origine de ces mouvements vont accumuler de grande quantités d’une crypto avant de contacter des personnes célèbres et des influenceurs afin de commencer à faire parler de cette crypto monnaie sur les médias sociaux. Ils vont ensuite payer des médiaux peu scrupuleux pour qu’ils publient de faux communiqués de presse se présentant souvent sous la forme d’articles censés être neutres. En réalité, il s’agit bien de publicités dissimulées.\n\nLa folie médiatique va provoquer une hausse des prix ce qui peut s’avérer efficace très rapidement pour un Altcoin avec une petite communauté. En effet, cette dernière aura tendance à partager les fake news et les tweets d’influence haussiers, puis à commencer à acheter plus de jetons ce qui va faire grimper les prix à une vitesse folle dans la plupart des cas.\n\nUne fois la phase de pumping terminée, la phase suivante est le dump. Cependant, cela ne va fonctionner que si c’est réalisé en même temps. Naturellement, il va y avoir un glissement des prix mais les manipulateurs ne peuvent pas vendre leurs coins lentement sans modifier de manière significative le marché au moment du retournement des prix. La seule chose à faire est de tout vendre en même temps, en ajustant complètement le prix et en se débarrassant au passage de tous ceux qui ont acheté durant la phase de pumping. Ces derniers continuant à garder leurs positions et se retrouvant coincés.\n\nLe mouvement opposé est connu sous le nom de \"Bear Raid\". Les manipulateurs vont propager des news de type FUD pour provoquer la peur sur le marché et mener les prix vers le bas. Les news FUD sont assez simples à déceler, il s’agit des fameux tweets ou articles aux titres tapageurs du style \"L’Inde bannit les crypto monnaies\", ...\n\nIl y a de bonnes chances que vous ayez déjà eu à faire à ce type de news alarmistes sans fondements réels. Une fois que le prix de la crypto monnaie ciblée atteint un point bas, les Whales vont passer à l’achat en bénéficiant de ce prix bas. Avez-vous déjà vu des ordres d’achats importants placés dans le carnet d’ordres annulés juste avant qu’ils arrivent à terme ?\n\nSur l’ensemble de ces questions, il est fort à parier que vous ayez répondu par l’affirmative plus d’une fois. L’enquête Américaine révèlera probablement certains détails supplémentaires et fort intéressants, mais vous n’avez clairement pas besoin d’attendre les résultats de cette enquête pour savoir que le marché a bien été manipulé depuis les débuts du [Bitcoin](https://www.toutsurlebitcoin.fr/quest-ce-que-le-bitcoin.htm).
