It works to an extent, but experience is what is real. \n\n2) My mind is like a tree, branching off in different directions of thought. Most roots never finish their thought process. The end of the root is where the focus is lost. Every time I try to document all paths of thought, like right now, I can never fully explain it. I can never fully communicate. That is why with 7 billion people on earth, with 7 billion trees with billions and billions of thought roots, we will never reach world peace. We will never reach perfection because perfection does not exist. \n\n3) If you are in a situation where you have someone in your life who has done what you want to do, is famous for what you want to be famous for, someone who you really look up too. Don't talk to them for the sake of talking. Don't ask questions where the answer is on Google. Which brings me another point. Stop asking questions on social media when the answer is on Google with a Youtube link to a lesson on it. You are not hungry for knowledge, you are hungry for attention.\n\n4) In South Africa, we like to say \"Don't be a poes.\"\n\nLet's hear your vents!",

There is honestly nothing more frustrating than coming across an artist who doesn't know who they are. You need to be **authentic**, people can see through it when you're trying to be someone else. Even so, there's no fun in being someone else because that someone else already exists. You'll always be second place to who they are so it's important to stick to who you are and do you better than anyone else can.\n\n# Step 2: Know your audience\n\nNot everyone is going to like you and you need to accept that, so you need to find people that are going to like and support you. This is an important factor in having a sustainable career as a musician. Don't try the scatter-gun approach, it sometimes works but in the long run it is not sustainable. The trick to finding people to like you is by knowing yourself, so go back to step 1. The people that will like your music will also like what you like.\n\n# Step 3: Connect Step 1 & 2\n\nThis step is vital in sustaining your career.  You can't have one without the other. You could be the best musician who knows who they are and makes the best music, but  if you aren't connecting with your audience you cannot sustain a career. It's okay to be a musician who just makes music for yourself or your friends, it can be form of therapy or entertainment but if you want to have a **career** in the industry and you want to make MONEY, you need to make sure you connect you who are to your audience.       "body": "If you aren't on Facebook or somehow you haven't seen a video of a kid yodelling in Walmart, it has gone VIRAL. And when I say viral, I don't mean the overuse of the word viral *\"Oooo I got 10k views it's gone viral!\"* ... It's got billions of views across the different platforms, it's been remixed by producers all over the world, it's been made into memes... you know it went all out 2018. It got him on to Ellen Degeneres and to COACHELLA ... As a musician and producer those are two of my lifetime goals smashed in a week because someone filmed me busking in Walmart. One would think I'm jealous or pissed off that he got given those opportunities, but I'm really not. Anyway we're not talking about me.\n\nNow, you have the haters. Why are some people so upset? They talk about how hard they work, and now this kid just gets given these opportunities. I actually find it so selfish, if you are one of these haters I want ask what if it was you up there, on that stage and on the screens of millions? Would you be so upset? I'm so happy for the kid. The saxophone wasn't really taken seriously in 1800's, like today still no one takes a recorder seriously. The saxophone was used in marching bands until a man named \"Sidney Bechet\" came along, who was a contemporary of Louis Armstrong. Sidney was the first to add a virtuosic approach to the sax with his bluesy tone. This all happened in the 1920's.\n\nMore influencers of Saxophone in Jazz are: Frankie Trumbauer, Coleman Hawkin, Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, John Coltrane, Lester Young, Charlie Parker and many more. \n\nThe saxophone can now be found in almost any genre.       "body": "Every now and then one gets a serious wake up call and I guess when you see a story like this, its waved off as just another one of those stories. Until it happens to you. It still hasn't completely set it in that I should have died. The police and paramedics all say that one doesn't survive these kinds of accidents. The amount of love, visitors, messages and all that has come through just tells me that I am actually loved. The white vehicle was traveling up the hill and we met at the intersection where he tried to cut in front of me as he needed to turn.  While I was unconscious, he fled the seen while locals proceed to rob me of my phone and cash. When I woke up, I climbed out the passenger side and tried to figure out what was going on. \n\nHere, I sit writing another SteemIt post just hoping that someone may learn to appreciate waking up the next morning, and be thankful that they were given another day.\n\nThank you",
