titleDigiPulse – Creating a Lifeline for Your Cryptocurrencies After You are Gone
bodyI’m excited about a new opportunity for people, like me, who invest in cryptocurrencies to protect our legacies – and even designate heirs to benefit from what we leave behind – virtually. This is something that hasn’t been possible in the past. The world is changing at the speed of technology. Most people are only just now beginning to see the importance of securing their cyber-identities for their families after they’re gone. Attorneys, wills, and court systems today are not yet prepared to deal with the financial reverberations of things like cryptocurrency portfolios. I have found one company that has asked the question about what will happen to my digital currency portfolio if something were to happen to me. More importantly, they are actively working to come up with sensible solutions for dealing with passing on sensitive information to the appropriate parties if something were to happen to me – or anyone else using their invaluable services. **What is DigiPulse?** DigiPulse offers an inheritance service that allows you to store and encrypt information via the DigiPulse blockchain that specified recipients can inherit once you are gone. You do not need to inform your designated recipients – allowing this service to operate somewhat like a “dead man’s switch.” Once confirmation of your death is received the flow of information will be released to the appropriate parties. The purpose of DigiPulse is simple. It is designed to ensure that the virtual assets stored in my digital wallet are passed on to the person I chose for them to go to – and designated as the intended recipient – in the event of my death. Since 2009, when blockchain technology first became available to the world at large, the number of people using and investing in cryptocurrencies has grown. Many people are using them not only as an alternate method of paying for things, rather than cash, but also as a method of investment. Unfortunately, problems have arisen over time when where these investors lose their lives or their memories and those investments are lost in the ethers of the Internet for eternity. If a person has the bulk of his assets (or all of his assets) tied up in cryptocurrencies, this can present a huge problem for the family he or she leaves behind. For the most part, this is an unintended consequence as most people have no intention of dying soon once they begin investing in cryptocurrencies. Currently, there are no simple solutions to the problem this presents to families and investors. All the readily available solutions offer just as many vulnerabilities and potential downsides. That is until the rise of blockchain technology which can be used to help people like you and me keep our digital assets safe, allows digital assets to be inherited by designed recipients, and allows givers of these items to remain anonymous, if we choose to do so, in the process. **Business Model for Investors** As an investor, I’m always looking for new opportunities to increase my holdings. It just so happens that DigiPulse gives me more than one thing to get excited about. I can now designate heirs to my holdings without revealing the extent of them, thanks to the anonymity DigiPulse provides. More importantly, I can invest with confidence thanks to the outstanding business model DigiPulse presents that focuses on providing exceptional service and products to users who wish to remain anonymous as well as those for whom this is not a priority. DigiPulse offers a business to customer (B2C) model for business that is subscription based and paid in DigiPulse (DGPT) tokens. For investors, there is the opportunity to become storage space providers – assisting to maintain the blockchain and earning 50 percent of the DGPT by way of payment – and the opportunity for profit sharing once the legal framework has been established. **DigiPulse Security Considerations** Another concern to keep in mind when considering investment opportunities, like the one I found with DigiPulse is security. The platform for DigiPulse is completely decentralized, utilizing multiple storage providers and eliminating the possibility of threats accessing data through a single point of access. DigiPulse itself will not have access to information about what is in each user’s “vault.” This helps add another layer of anonymity and security to the process too. The original ICO for DigiPulse did not net the success that was hoped for by the DigiPulse family. While the failure of the initial ICO was a disappointment to many, like myself, who are excited about the possibilities DigiPulse represents, this gave the company a chance to go back to the drawing board and make a few key changes. Some of the changes resulting from the [initial failure](https://www.digipulse.io/old-ico) include the profit sharing opportunity for investors, expanding the original team to include a legal advisor and a security audit specialist; and the creation of an actual prototype that is available to the public for testing beginning October 1, 2017. [Refunds ](https://www.digipulse.io/refund.pdf "Old ICO Participation Refund") are available to those who invested for the initial ICO and have decided not to move forward with the new and improved DigiPulse 2.0. [The DigiPulse ICO](https://www.digipulse.io/dashboard) started on October 1, 2017 and will run through October 31, 2017. Token prices are 0.004 ETH per token with a minimum purchase of 0.5 ETH (125 tokens + bonus tokens) and a maximum per person purchase of 2,000,000 tokens. The initial offering will include a bonus system that provides earlier buyers bigger opportunities when it comes to buying tokens. For instance, those who buy during the original buyers’ round will enjoy greater percentage rewards than those who buy in during the first, second, third, or fourth batches – each of which are substantially lower than the initial bonus of 50 percent. The promise of a refund offers assurances that this project has a lot to offer the right investors. I believe it is a solid product for investment within the ICO communities by a company that has a clear view for future growth and is willing to reassess and make changes when necessary to help their product grow into what it needs to be to satisfy the diverse needs of the cryptocurrency investing community. Good luck!

titleWhat to look for when investing in ICOs - linguistic clues that may help
bodyInvesting in Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) can be a bit tricky. However, when done well it can really pay off for you. These are some of the linguistic clues I look for when conducting due diligence investigations for potential investments. Hopefully, they will assist you as much as they have aided me in making profitable investments. - Avoid promises of technological innovations. The problem with offerings that promise to be the newest technology wonder on the market is that they are quickly replaced. There needs to be more substance than relying on technology and a sound business plan is the real key for successful ICOs. - Don’t look for offers that are too smart. In fact, I avoid offerings that mention things like smart contracts, smart contract wizards, or smart contract templates. I try to make sure these ICOs are for educational programs rather than technology expansions because those so-called advantages crumble to dust quickly once the next latest and greatest technological advancement arrives. - I also avoid ICOs that contain words like “legally enforceable smart contracts.” By its nature, software either executes the contract or it is a failure. The legal system cannot force software to meet expectations. - I’m also extremely reluctant to invest in ICOs that include ‘storage’ as part of the offering. This extends to data, photographs, fingerprints, etc. This type of language typically means that either they lack experience programming for blockchain networks or they don’t have a handle on the realities of the business. Storing data on a blockchain is simply too expensive, which cuts away at my potential profits making it something I generally walk away from. - I tend to shy away from offers that promise a decentralized search engine as well. The whole point of search engines is to serve as a centralized index of information, after all. I want to invest in ideas that show promise and potential – not ideas that seem inefficient by design. - Decentralized, or blockchain enabled advertising exchanges are also not on my list of potential investments. While the idea may seem appealing at times, and it technically possible for these types of exchanges to work, the reality is much more difficult than it appears on paper and there are too many other unanswered questions that could impact the investment for me to consider these types of ICOs. - Another potential problem, from an investment standpoint, is a blockchain-based micro-payment systems. This type of investment, like data storage, is costly, and usually doesn’t provide the type of return on investment I’m most interested in earning. - Work exchange and job matching types of programs are also on my list ICOs to skip. The problem with these, is that they are hugely data driven and the costs, once again, cut too heavily into profits for my comfort. - Community control is another thing I seek to avoid when choosing an offering for an investment. While the idea of putting things to a vote might sound intriguing the reality is that this becomes more of a social experiment than a business endeavor. My goal, when investing in an ICO, is to make money not to engage in infighting and power struggles that will end up costing time, money, and more. - I’m also reluctant to invest in ICOs that involve social doctor coins. The sad truth is that charitable and community organizations are better equipped to deal with social problems in society than businesses. When I’m investing my money in an ICO, I want it to be one that has the promise of a positive return on that investment and not a poor attempt to fix the ills of the world. As far as I’m concerned, there are better places to put your money if social correction is your goal. - Distributed computing. Some might call this concept the ultimate evil when it comes to ICO investing. Even in the best of possible situations when the stars align and all parts fall perfectly into place these projects tend to be nightmares to live with and highly ineffective from a cost perspective. These are the clues I look for when performing due diligence on potential ICO investments. I hope they will serve you as well when choosing your offering investments as they have served me.

"body": "Investing in Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) can be a bit tricky. However, when done well it can really pay off for you. These are some of the linguistic clues I look for when conducting due diligence investigations for potential investments. Hopefully, they will assist you as much as they have aided me in making profitable investments.\n- Avoid promises of technological innovations. The problem with offerings that promise to be the newest technology wonder on the market is that they are quickly replaced. There needs to be more substance than relying on technology and a sound business plan is the real key for successful ICOs. \n- Don’t look for offers that are too smart. In fact, I avoid offerings that mention things like smart contracts, smart contract wizards, or smart contract templates. I try to make sure these ICOs are for educational programs rather than technology expansions because those so-called advantages crumble to dust quickly once the next latest and greatest technological advancement arrives.\n- I also avoid ICOs that contain words like “legally enforceable smart contracts.” By its nature, software either executes the contract or it is a failure. The legal system cannot force software to meet expectations.\n- I’m also extremely reluctant to invest in ICOs that include ‘storage’ as part of the offering. This extends to data, photographs, fingerprints, etc. This type of language typically means that either they lack experience programming for blockchain networks or they don’t have a handle on the realities of the business. Storing data on a blockchain is simply too expensive, which cuts away at my potential profits making it something I generally walk away from.\n- I tend to shy away from offers that promise a decentralized search engine as well. The whole point of search engines is to serve as a centralized index of information, after all. I want to invest in ideas that show promise and potential – not ideas that seem inefficient by design.\n- Decentralized, or blockchain enabled advertising exchanges are also not on my list of potential investments. While the idea may seem appealing at times, and it technically possible for these types of exchanges to work, the reality is much more difficult than it appears on paper and there are too many other unanswered questions that could impact the investment for me to consider these types of ICOs. \n- Another potential problem, from an investment standpoint, is a blockchain-based micro-payment systems. This type of investment, like data storage, is costly, and usually doesn’t provide the type of return on investment I’m most interested in earning.\n- Work exchange and job matching types of programs are also on my list ICOs to skip. The problem with these, is that they are hugely data driven and the costs, once again, cut too heavily into profits for my comfort.\n- Community control is another thing I seek to avoid when choosing an offering for an investment. titleKICKICO - a distributed fundraising project worth paying attention
bodyI am new to Steem, and have seen that people are contributing a wealth of knowledge to this community. I’ve been successfully investing in crypto currencies for some time and wanted to share what I’ve learned, along with a potential opportunity that I think everyone can benefit from. This post is about an ongoing ICO - KICKICO ([kickico.com](https://www.kickico.com)) - which I believe is currently a major contender and have personally invested in. Before we go into details on why I think this is a good investment, I want to make it clear that I’m not a financial advisor and this is not an investment advice. You should do your own due diligence and asses financial risks according to your own financial situation. Now that we got this out of the way, let me explain why I think KICKICO is an awesome project. >*"KICKICO is a fundraising platform for various projects including the business sphere, which allows you to launch a variety of fundraising campaigns such as: ICO, preICO, crowdfunding and crowdinvesting campaigns"* ![KICKICO Live ICO](http://imageshack.com/a/img924/1125/4SSqt8.jpg) KICKICO has already successfully completed its preICO sale along with other fundraising efforts, making it now a functional crowdfunding platform. As a matter of fact, their ICO is hosted on their own platform. This is a great start, giving it a great outlook against its competitors in the distributed ICO platform space. The participating investors will receive KickCoins (KC), which are distributed immediately after an investment is done. In the near future, KCs will be listed on the famous crypto exchanges like HitBTC, BITTREX, Cryptopia, etc. ![Crypto Exchanges where KickCoin will be listed](http://imageshack.com/a/img922/8223/ZzydIl.jpg) *Popular crypto exchanges where KC will be listed* KICKICO hasn’t only done good in meeting recent milestones, but they have a clear vision, good execution and excellent management behind them, which has helped sustain their work and allowed them to stay ahead of the many competitors that emerge on a regular basis and can’t manage to succeed. The founder/CEO, Anti. A. Danilevski, is a celebrity in the software development world due to his work in computer games and apps, including ‘Carnage’ which is one of the most famous computer games in the history of Russia. Danilevski’s transition from gaming to a crowdfunding platform makes sense due to his amazing skills, which have allowed him to create a desktop- and mobile-focused browser (rather than a distributed application) that contains masterful programming for a great user experience. ![KICKONOMY](http://imageshack.com/a/img922/8196/juXvQf.jpg) *The economy model of KICKICO is called KICKONOMY* # How to Participate: KICKICO [Whitepaper](https://www.kickico.com/whitepaper), [Team](https://www.kickico.com/team) and [FAQs](https://www.kickico.com/faq) page are available at [www.kickico.com](https://www.kickico.com) website. If you decide to participate, here is the link to their current live ICO - https://www.kickico.com/campaigns/999/ico. They are accepting payments both in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). They have already reached their Soft cap of 50,000 ETHers and heading toward reaching the Hard cap of 100,000 ETHers pretty soon. At the time of this writing there are still 5 days left before they reach their Hard cap or the ICO end date of September 16th, whichever comes first. Please let me know what you think about this post and if you would like me to post more similar opportunities that I would personally be participating in. I hope that you find this helpful and take full advantage it. Good luck!
