Songyuan is, in comparison to other Chinese cities relatively small. Every day I would lose myself exploring every facet of the city. Even though, most of the time I came across wonderful scenarios like the preparations for the dragonboat festival, I never managed to getting used to seeing dog meat butchers in nearly every street. This particular butcher shop, caught my eye, since it was very close to where I lived. They would grill dogs on a spit every wednesday afternoon.  So I decided I wanted to catch a rare glimpse into what is happening behind the scenes. The trip that jerry has ,when they pass that wormhole, is equivalent to a dmt trip where he gets to know everything about himself, life and meet supernaturla beings. This is kind of symbolic and how nearly every trip started for me. Even though I didnt have sentient beings in my waiting room, they might symbolise the posibility between a good trip and ego death. In the waiting room Jerry asks the two sentient beings dressed up as death if he is alive or dead. An important fact to note here is that many hyperspace travellers are trying to answer some questions. During the trip he meets some beings and experience a type of ego death. Since I have never experience ego death myself. I guess that is a lucky thing, I will take this recount of a reddit user to explain what it might feel like:\n\n>\"WHOOOSH. I am the Source of all creation, but not \"me\". I am of course noway an expert on this matter and I knowingly missed out on a lot of symbols that are probably known in the DMT community.",
