      "body": "<center>https://topstaking.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Untitled-drawing-16.png</center> <br/><a href=\"https://makerdao.com/\">MakerDAO</a> is an <a href=\"https://etherscan.io/tokens\">Ethereum token</a> that has become a token of the most valuable and exciting cryptocurrency products, Defi. <a href=\"https://defi.network/\">Defi or Decentralized Finance</a> is the most exciting and fastest growing portion of the cryptocurrency industry and its all based around MakerDAO’s <a href=\"https://makerdao.com/dai/\">DAI stablecoin</a>.\r\n\r\nBut, in order to make DAI, you need to have <a href=\"https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/maker/\">MKR</a>. And unlike other cryptocurrencies, there are less and less MKR as time goes on. To date 4,625 of 1M MKR tokens have been burned, with 8,650 MKR worth of stability fees that still need to be burned currently and a yearly burn rate of nearly 20k MKR or 2% of initial supply.\r\n\r\nThis <a href=\"https://medium.com/@morneolivierblog/burn-the-deflationary-token-revolution-is-here-update-2-07-2019-102e25ea2210\">deflationary burning of tokens</a> is the equivalent of <a href=\"https://topstaking.com/\">staking</a>…just done in reverse. So lets look into What MakerDAO is, how it works, and how you can stake and earn with MKR token.\r\n<h2>What is MakerDAO? </h2>\r\nMakerDAO is a <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decentralization\">decentralized</a> autonomous organization that runs on the <a href=\"https://www.etherchain.org/\">Ethereum blockchain</a> and is a <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protocol\">protocol</a> for minimizing the volatility of its own stablecoin DAI.\r\n<h2>What is DAI?</h2>\r\nDAI is the first ever fully-decentralized <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stablecoin\">stablecoin</a>. It maintains a 1:1 peg to the USD. To fund its development, they sold MKR tokens instead of conducting an ICO like most did. After 3 years, in 2018, Maker launched its own decentralized stable coin DAI and hast been widely respected across the cryptosphere ever since.\r\n<h3>Who is using DAI?</h3>\r\nHaving issued more than $77 MM in DAI (debt) to date and inside its smart contracts holding 2% of all Ether, it’s safe to claim that DAI is the most successful project ever built on Ethereum.\r\n\r\nMaker continues to see perpetual 20% monthly growth in issued DAI. 71% of users spends their DAI as soon as they have it. This signals a shift of usage rather than speculation.\r\n<h2>How does it work?</h2>\r\nFor example, you sent 1 <a href=\"https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/\">ETH</a> (worth $150), this will allow you to take up to $100 DAI (assuming a 150% collateralisation rate $100/1.50) against your $100. If the price of Ether drops below $100 your <a href=\"https://settle.finance/blog/cdp-explained-makerdao/\">Collateralised Debt Position(CDP)</a> will be forcefully closed with a <a href=\"https://www.reddit.com/r/MakerDAO/comments/a0855q/penalty_ratio_and_liquidation_penalty/\">13% penalty</a> if you are liquidated.\r\n\r\nYou need to put in more Ether or take out less DAI in the first place to stop this from happening. New tokens are created and rewarded to those who put stake on the line and secure the network. However, <a href=\"https://medium.com/@ecurrencyhodler/deflationary-economics-bitcoin-and-just-a-store-of-value-70c4078abd85\">deflationary currencies</a> can stake too, and it’s a much easier process.\r\n\r\n<center><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-443 size-medium\" src=\"https://topstaking.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/5-300x260.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"260\" /></center><br/>\r\n\r\nLooking at a simple supply and demand graph. Inflation is the equivalent of increasing supply. So, this would mean that over time prices will also go up with inflation if demand stays the same. So, if your tokens are not staking and sitting idle and demand stays the same you are losing purchasing power.\r\n\r\nDeflationary tokens such as MKR work the opposite because they lower supply by burning tokens.\r\n\r\n<center><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-442 size-medium\" src=\"https://topstaking.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/6-300x240.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" /></center><br/>\r\n\r\nThis means that if demand stays the same, the price for things will go down. So just by holding a deflationary token you are essentially receiving all the benefits of staking. Your purchasing power is increasing as people use the network and burn other MKR.\r\n<h3>What is the Staking APR of MKR</h3>\r\nThe staking APR for a token like MKR is variable. It depends on a couple factors. 1 the stability fee which accrues interest fees which burn maker, the MKR token price, CDP’s closing, eventually the DSR (DAI savings Rate).\r\n\r\nI won’t go into detail on all of this as there are better resources on MKR to learn this. But, you can watch the burn rate (or effective APR) on <a href=\"https://mkr.tools/tokens/mkr\">https://mkr.tools/tokens/mkr</a>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone wp-image-441 size-large\" src=\"https://topstaking.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/7-1024x816.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"816\" /><br/>\r\n\r\nIn the snapshot above 10/8/19 you can see that the annual burn rate of MKR is 18963 tokens. Of the 1M token supply that means around 2% of the supply given constant variables is to be burned. This would roughly equate to a 2% APR for holding MKR (again depending on many multiple variables).\r\n<h2>Like the sound of Deflationary assets?</h2>\r\nIf you like this idea of built in staking via burning you are in luck because there are more tokens that do the same thing. Mainly exchange tokens BNB, CET, and LEO. Exchanges share value and equity via these tokens and whenever they burn them, they are essentially reducing supply and making yours more valuable. And for the most part staking pools turn into a win-win situation, as the compounding effect can usually more than cover the staking pool fee.&nbsp; So, with all these options, the question then becomes which service should I use?&nbsp;</p>\n<h2><strong>Question 1: Do they stake my coin?</strong></h2>\n<p>This question is obvious, if you are wondering which services support your coin check out our <a href=\"https://topstaking.com/staking-coins/\">staking coin list</a></p>\n<h2><strong>Question 2: Are the legitimate?</strong></h2>\n<p>This question is a bit harder and we highly encourage you to do your own research. The best advice we have come up with is applying the time test. And the time test is &ldquo;have they lasted the test of time?&rdquo; The older a company, the more likely they are legitimate and will stick around. Scams and bad companies will usually fail within the first 2 years.&nbsp;</p>\n<h2><strong>Questions 3: How long have they been around? Do they have a big pool?</strong></h2>\n<p>Following up on question below, the age of a staking pool is very valuable as the longer the service has been around, the more likely it has a larger pool as more people have had time to find and stake in that pool.&nbsp; <strong>Below we made a table with some very basic high level overview of the different services. A rental market should be able to provide resources that are available for a low, reasonable price.\r\n\r\nThis market will give <a href=\"https://etherscan.io/token/tokenholderchart/0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0\">Token holders</a> the option to lend their EOS at a fee in exchange for some <a href=\"https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/liquidityrisk.asp\">loss of liquidity</a> for the duration of the loan. Therefore providing zero risk of losing capital to the lenders.\r\n\r\n<center><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-395 size-full\" src=\"https://topstaking.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Untitled-drawing-8.png\" alt=\"stake eos article pic of eos coin and rex coin ratio of 1:1\" width=\"800\" height=\"300\" /></center><br/>\r\n<h1>How will the Tokens for Lending work?</h1>\r\nThere’s a Resource Exchange(REX) that allows you to convert your EOS tokens for REX tokens at the current book value of the Resource Exchange and/or convert your REX tokens back to EOS at book value, anytime you like.\r\n\r\nThe <a href=\"https://eosrex.io/statistics#rex-value\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">REX tokens’ book value will increase</a> due to fees from various network operations, such as; fees generated when lending the EOS, fees earned for renting CPU and NET resources, RAM trading, name auctions and any other resources that the EOSIO chain provides. Using one system, SEOS can be further converted into the delegated EOS for CPU resources over a 30 day period.\r\n<h1>How can this lower the costs of resources?</h1>\r\nThe current allocation model in the EOS network is built in such a way that using the network for a month costs exactly the same as having the right to use the network forever (minus the proceeds of selling 30 days later).\r\n\r\nThe issue about this allocation model is that, 30 days of interval with the possible market volatility can either double the amount or lose half of it. In layman's terms users lock up coins, for a period of time, and earn interest on those coins. </strong> So while you can’t actually “Stake” stablecoins by the proper definition, you can lock them up and earn interest on them in a very low risk high APR way. This article dives into the 2 best protocols for earning interest on your locked up coins. I have been using Crypto Lending platforms for quite some time now, so I wanted to share some I learned. Including the <a href=\"https://blockonomi.com/what-is-decentralized-finance-defi/\">Decentralized Finance (DeFi)</a> platforms as well. If you haven’t heard of <a href=\"https://btcloans.org/bitcoin-lending-services-list/\">Crypto Lending platforms</a> before, it’s basically decentralized bank where you can either borrow cryptocurrencies against collateral or lend them out and earn interest. You never need to apply, or talk with a banker, it’s all done via smart contracts.  Cryptocurrencies typically/usually accepted are <a href=\"https://bitcoin.org/\">Bitcoin</a>, <a href=\"https://www.ethereum.org/\">Ethereum</a> and even <a href=\"https://cryptoroi.com/how-to-trade-stablecoins/\">Stable coins</a>. The most profitable platforms and stablecoins I found are <a href=\"https://compound.finance/\"><strong>Compound finance</strong></a> and <a href=\"https://dydx.exchange/\"><strong>Dy/Dx Exchange</strong></a> for <a href=\"https://www.dai.com/\"><strong>DAI</strong></a> and <a href=\"https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/usd-coin/\"><strong>USDC</strong></a>.  </p>\n<h2>Stable Coin Passive Income</h2>\n<p>If you just started cryptocurrency and you’re still reluctant on really investing in crypto because of the volatility, there are still high yielding ways to get involved and earn passive decentralized income. The best way to go about this is to use Stable Coins on Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications. It’s quite simple.</p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Convert your USD to Stable Coins such as; </strong><a href=\"https://www.dai.com/\"><strong>DAI</strong></a> or <a href=\"https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/usd-coin/\"><strong>USDC</strong></a> <em>(</em><a href=\"https://cointelegraph.com/explained/stablecoins-explained\"><em>article better explaining these stablecoins</em></a><em>)</em> The short summary is that with DAI, it’s an economically incentivized decentralized stablecoin. So its essentially trustless, but you need to trust the smart contract as well as the economics and market makers to keep the system sufficiently collateralized. For USDC, its a trust based system. So if you use USDC you are trusting reputable company Circle that every USDC is backed by a USD in a bank account. USDC is a significant improvement from largest crypto stablecoin USDTStablecoins are pretty simple, the goal is to put dollars on the blockchain. So they are pegged tokens that are suppose to trade 1:1($1 = 1 Stable Coin) with USD, but the demand of the market still fluctuates the price of the coin. Like for example, at the time of writing DAI is currently trading at $0.99 and has been below $1 for quite some time now.</li>\n<li><strong>Deposit your Stable Coins to a Decentralized Finance (DeFi)</strong> . For passive income its as easy as just depositing and starting to instantly earn interes. That Is all you have to do. Similar to MakerDAO’s DAI, the system is mostly trustless, but you still need to trust the contract as well as the economics and market makers to keep the system liquid.</li>\n</ol>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Comparing The Platforms</h2>\n<p>There are a number of platforms where you can trade Stable Coins. Compound.Finance is considered the most decentralized platform to date. That being the case, it is safe to say that it is arguably the most secure and trustworthy platform. For the risk and liquidity it's definitely one of the best ways to earn interest on your stable coins</p>\n<p>Compound currently accepts <a href=\"https://makerdao.com/dai/\"><strong>DAI</strong> - Maker Dao</a> as well as USDC as stablecoins for borrowing and lending.
