      "body": "I think you missed the point of this article.\n\nThor: Ragnarok is an MCU film. I went in with no expectations beyond a reasonable return on my entertainment dollar. Which it didn't provide.\n\nThor: Ragnarok tried too hard to be another Guardians of the Galaxy instead of doing its own thing. The forced jokes killed the pacing at critical moments and the visuals did little for me. The story was bland, the characters insipid and the action scenes were generic. \n\nI brought up Cowboy Bebop to demonstrate how, in the space of 89 seconds, a storyteller can set up a false impression of a character and convincingly peel it away to reveal a more complex persona. Thor: Ragnarok tried to do something similar, but failed. Over and over and over again.\n\nThor: Ragnarok tries to be a superhero film. But it's not. To have a superhero film, you need superheroes. A superhero isn't some random guy with superpowers; a superhero is a hero who happens to have superpowers. Superhero films need a moral core, and Thor: Ragnarok doesn't have one. Likewise, Thor is hailed as a 'god' throughout the movie, but he isn't portrayed as one -- just as a random guy with some powers. I brought up the Norse myths specifically to highlight the nature of pagan gods and virtues, contrasting them against the lack of the same in the movie. There are neither superheroes nor gods here, just plain boring people who happen to have powers.\n\nThor: Ragnarok is shallow and forgettable. I don't care if Marvel wants to do its own spin on Norse myth, but if it can't produce a movie that even my normie fiance can enjoy, much less myself, I'm not going to watch any more MCU films.",

      "body": "I think you had way too many expectations about this film. It is about a superhero take on the Norse myths. Who told you it was supposed to be an accurate representation of the legends? The previous films including Thor should be a hint to what directions the film would not take. \nAs for Cowboy Beebop-it it a series. The writers have time to fully flesh out a character in detail. Movies like this generally don't and you have to take into account that not everyone is familiar with Norse legend. That said this is a super hero action movie, not a retelling of the myth. The movies goal is to tell an entertaining story and make a profit.\nI personally think the movie was used as a lesson of you can't run from your past, eventually you have to face it.       "body": "Ragnarok was the end and the beginning. That said we are left with the results of sin and greed of the elders, rained down on the younger. I loved the cycle of this film. You could take nearly any stress point of western society today, racism, consumerism, anything and add it into this; no really! \nThe 'height' of civilization that Asgard represents is a paradise founded on the most harsh exploitation of others and maintained by the suppression of that fact. Until the result of a conquest (Loki) seeks power-just like Odin and sets in motion a chain of events long predicted and some would say overdue. \nOdin's adopted son was like him in his youth and eventual takes his father's power from him and abandons him away from his home. This unlocks the secret of the kingdoms past. And the child Odin raised to be his champion, who later he betrays.\nHella is doing as she was taught, she is who she was raised to be and the rightful heir.  She reveals Odins dark past and raises the demons of the past buy way of reanimating the corpses of the soldiers who died for Odin's conquests. Solders who would then be sent out to continue their mission, which involved cutting down their own descendants.\nIt's a great play on \"you can't hide from the past\" no matter how hard you try to coverup and paint over the ugliness of it all. Eventually it is revealed. \nAnd as always the executioners of the violence is someone who simply wanted to matter, to be heard, and in the process betrayed whom they wanted to impress. Though in this movie, the executioner dose try to redeem himself. This movie was dark and could have been overwhelming if not for the comedy that evens it out. \n\nAll in all, this was a really great film. The passing keeps you attentive to the plot and the characters are all just over the top enough to be believable. Cate Blanchette is going to win awards for this role. Well, if you have already heard the Norse myth of the end of Asgard then this isn't a spoiler except to say-Thor survives. I think it interesting that they never involve Thor's twin Freya in the movies and yet bring in an older sister to kick his ass.  If ever there was a movie that felt like rock and roll, this is it.  The color palette was great and instrumental to the film, signifying worlds and belief/practices. With the fall of the thrown room roof mural we see the history literally on the wall and with the fall of the floor into the burial chamber we see the might of Odin's war machine. The imagery together shows the harsh reality of the paradise that was formed from it. Hella was perfect in how she represented that time and her shock and anger at being erased. \nLoki is still Loki and Thor is more comfortable with himself in this film. That is crucial as Thor was to become something more not based on power but personality. Now Asgard has to restart, what will Asgard become?...",

Co-Wash, also made by Cantu, I avoid shampoo unless I'm about to do a hair detox to remove any buildup, before using ACV.\n3. African Black Soap, Not the hard crap put out by some companies including Shea moisture whom I am currently not speaking with. Real black soap isn't always black but it is always Devine. Can be used anywhere on the body, even the face and hair.\n4.       "body": "Imma jump right into it.\nWhat the hell is wrong with Tyler Perry? I went to see Boo2 and wanted to scream at the stupidity of it. I grew up watching the passion plays (mostly the bootlegged plays) and I saw the movie renditions. Madea was a composite of many women when took no lip and pulled family and community together. Over the years  however Madea has become a joke-a TERRIBLE joke! The movies have lost their passion and are just mainstream fluff. There was really no good themes in this movie, in fact, the movie was a jumble of stereotypes and stupid joke \"quickies\".\n\nThe main group of Madea, her brother, and her friends was a group of reprobates. you couldn't really care about any of them, especially Madea's brother and his girlfriend. I really would have let any evil doers have them. \nThe movie has obviously had edited language wise which really destroyed 'suspension of disbelief'.  The women in this film just all seemed demented one way or the other. Ultimately, there where a lot of editing mistakes and huge wholes in the storyline.\n\nI honestly see no point of this film being made. Except for holiday appeal money.\n\nAfter seeing this movie, the only thing that made me feel better was the fact that I didn't go to see the original.",

I say this because ubereats has dominated Miami this past year. Even the mom and pop shops have ubereats signs! Uber saw the potential and aggressively took the market. Everything we have been trained to do, like go to college to get a good job that you retire in, and what-not is laughable now even though most of us still believed it 20 years ago. In less than a generation, the American Dream has imploded. Now with no real job security, and with a gig economy being used as fulltime employment, we have to admit that we are flying blind with no real direction.  The gig economy is a bandaid.\nI am sounding half cynical and half hopeful and that actually is where I am...honestly, I feel great about it. The gig economy is giving me some leeway and I really needed that. You can accomplish more when your not worried about working in an at will state. \nI have traveled across country-really, i drove from Florida to California in a Hyundai Sonata :-) I have traveled a little and just enjoyed being in other places and it's opened my eyes.  I don't have to do what I'm suppossed to do, I can just alter course and do something else. \nI'm pretty sure where I want to end up, but this year, I've learned to start enjoying the journey. The gig economy, that could be beneficial for the next decade will ultimatly reconstruct our society for better or for worse. In the meantime, it's helping me learn about life and descovery. Working for an app has done more for my wellbeing in the past year than 2 degrees and a hell of a lot of student debt. \n\nWe are in a time when authority is being questioned and seems to be absent in many spheres of our country. I think we may already be in a time of anarchy. Rideshare companies scate the laws and make billions-they've become \"the man\". Healthcare which we've fought for and now realize is in fact a right, is still disputed.  We live in a Oligarchy  run be people who are eneimes of democracy and their pawns in congress who are stripping us of any and all rights.  Through it all, I keep thinking of that old Chinese curse, \"May you live in interesting times.\"  We are so there.\n\nSo...where do we go from here?\n\nI will be honest and say I want a career, but right now the gig economy can help me\" ride it out.\"",

      "body": "The revelation is...right now Postmates is dead in Miami for food delivery. UberEats has pretty much taken over the area. However, if Postmates extends their range down into homestead-they would make a mint. Now, if you are with Postmates in Miami, you will need patience. Google is getting back at Uber for allegedly stealing their driverless cars technology by investing 1B into Lyft. The goal is obviously to destroy the already internally crippled giant. So Postmates may bounce back strong...just not right now. And not until they spend more on improving the functionality of their platform for customers and ESPECIALLY drivers!\nFor now, however, UberEats has partnered with just about every main eatery and made sure their customers know the same efficiency of rides can be had for food delivery. The drivers are still getting screwed with no tip function and $4ish pay per short delivery (you don't know the distance till after you pick up and pay for the delivery). \nI remind myself to have patience...and resign myself to Postmates as my car is actually too old to drive for UberEats.",

      "body": "Well, today the delivery jobs were few and far inbetween in the area I am in. However, after seeing my tips and adding things up , this would be more than doable if need be. That said here are some things I have learned while being a Postmate:\n1. Patience.  I don't speed and considering I get paaid for driving to drop things up, traffic really dosen't bug me that much anymore.\n2. Innovation.  The app has made my phone camera wonky. That means I have to be innovative about what to do when something goes wrong.\n3. Confidence.  Having to be innovative and patience has made me confident about being able to deal with hardships and set backs and disappointment. Yeah things may get crazy but I believe I can and will make it.\n\nI wish I had known this 2 years ago. My life would have been a lot less stressed and probably more enjoyable. That said, where there lessons I learned over the past 2 years I would not have if I'd know then what I know now?",
