      "body": "After posting the article above, hoping in good faith to learn something useful about \"rational scientific method\", I got non-responsive responses from someone going by the pseudonym of \"Monk E. Mind\" (Monkey Mind). None of my questions were answered and, when I persisted in my questioning, I was blocked from making further replies.\n\nThen, Bill Gaede entered the discussion and proceeded to make fun of me, to belittle me, and to imply that I am stupid, childish, and ignorant. It was, in fact, the most verbal abuse I've ever encountered in my life. \n\nWhen I commented to this effect and quit the group, another group member, who calls himself \"John Smith\" continued the abuse by accusing me of being the abuser.\n\nMy \"take-away\" from this experience is that the mentality of the \"Rational Scientific Method\" group is exactly the same as that of the \"Flat Earth\" crowd. Their intention is clearly to disparage real science and the use of reasoning and logic. This, of course, raises the question of motivation.\n\nThere have always been people who try to acquire the esteem of the public by \"de-bunking\" the work of well known scientists, and at first this is what I thought of flat earth proponents. But now, in light of my experience with \"Rational Scientists\", I'm inclined to think that there is something more insidious afoot... that there may actually be a concerted effort by the ruling elite to make thinking itself unpopular.       "body": "Dear Dr. Gaede,\nAn acquaintance of mine recently laughed in my face (repeatedly) for thinking that the traditional scientific method, based on the operational point of view, is still a valuable methodology for distinguishing true information from false information. Despite his deprecating manner, I agreed to watch a couple of your videos, and was thinking of reading your book, until I heard you describe mathematical physics as “mathe-magical”, a clearly condescending and self-aggrandizing term. \n\nIt was at that moment that I decided that I would postpone reading your book until such time as you answered a few questions to my satisfaction. Here are the first eight questions that popped into my head. I hope you find them useful in further clarifying your rope hypothesis.\n\n1. You’ve indicated that “Rational Science” (RS) is superior to “Mathemagical Science” (MS) because it “explains” observable phenomena. How do you decide when something has been explained? Alternatively, how do you know when an “explanation” is valid or invalid?\n\n2. You define “objects” by their “shape” and suggest they are “real” if you can draw (visualize) them – and you offer the example of lifting a well- bucket with a rope and pulley as an example of “Rational Physics” (RP).\n\na. Must “objects” be visible to the naked human eye in order to qualify as \"objects\"?\nb. Is an amoeba, visible only with a microscope, an “object”?\nc. The well-bucket rope has many properties. What are the properties of the “ropes” you hypothesize are connecting particles?\n\n~ Why just 2 strands? Why not 3 or 7 or 49?\n~ How, specifically, are the strands connected to the particles? (By buckets?)\n~ Do ropes ever become detached from the particles?\n~ How thick are the strands?\n~ Do they stretch? If so, how?\n~ When a “rope” is stretched, do the individual strands stretch?\n~ How many twists are there between any 2 particles?\n~ What causes “torquing”?\n~ Do the strands compress longitudinally under torque?\n\nd. Since you have drawn ropes, I infer you consider them as “objects”, and therefor appropriate items for RT discussion. \n\nHow are “invisible objects” less “magical” than fields?\nSince “ropes” are not visible, their presence must be somehow inferred.  How can you infer the presence of “ropes” without the use of “concepts” that your RS exempts from RS and RP?\n\n3.  You’ve described “ropes” as being “electromagnetic”. What does that mean if it doesn’t involve “fields, a concept you deplore”?\n\n4. You have said that “entanglement” is just the torquing of the rope connecting two particles and that it propagates as a “signal” at the speed of light. What in RS makes such an inference necessary? And how is “speed” not a forbidden “concept” in RS?\n\n5. In the absence of measurements and predictions, by what criteria is RS superior to MS? And is it in fact superior?\n\n6.  The well-known double slit experiment is regarded in quantum mechanics as proof that there are acausal events. The components of the experiment can be drawn so it is presumably a proper subject of RS and RP.  How does RS account for (\"explain\") the observable results of the experiment? \n\n7. Are clocks “objects” according to RS? If so, how would you avoid defining “time” as that which a clock measures? Clocks of various kinds can certainly be visualized and drawn. The process by which a person measures time with a clock can certainly be diagrammed in detail. So how can you maintain that time is irrelevant to Rational Science? Even understanding the raising of a well-bucket when seeing an illustration of the act requires grasping what is meant by “motion” - and how is one to do that without the concept of time?\n\n8. And finally, while I understand the need to think non-scientifically in order to extend the capabilities of science, I fail to see the need to abandon the operational point of view in favor of Newtonian intuition. Can you explain why you have done this?\n\nRather than attempt to change every definition that scientists have used in the history of science, it would make more sense to me to call your new discipline, “Gaedence” rather than science, and to call the methodology the “Gaedentic Method” rather than the scientific method.       "body": "Thank you, Bob. I think you have been very succinct and neutral in the tone of this essay. I appreciate what you have said. I have been vegan, then vegetarian and now omnivore. My health was becoming compromised by my vegan lifestyle. Bones, teeth and joints were being affected as well as digestion. As I added more sustainably produced animal products into my diet, I began feeling better and better. But that is just one person's experience...and of course the only one I speak about with any authority. Kudos.",

And while I’ve found this exercise entertaining, I have become increasingly concerned by the growing divisiveness that has come to characterize the conversation. In the interests of helping to heal the growing rift between the contending factions, I’ve decided to share my understanding of the deeper issues involved.\n\n**Definitions**\nFor purposes of this article, I will be applying the following definitions:\n**Vegetarianism** – A commitment to a diet of plant-based foods, generally forgoing the ingestion of foods derived from animal flesh and animal “by-products”. The rationale for this lifestyle choice is generally based on the belief that it results in greater health than an omnivorous diet would.\n\n**Veganism** – A variant of Vegetarianism, Veganism adds to the Vegetarian outlook the premise that it is “immoral” not to respect the innate desire of all “sentient” animal life to remain alive and to avoid pain and suffering.\n\n**Sentience** – A synonym for “awareness”, sentience simply implies the presence of senses on the part of the creature to which the attribution is applied. Creatures having this capability interact with their environment non-randomly, seeking some experiences while avoiding others. It should be noted that even single-celled life forms exhibit some degree of sentience. For that matter, even plants evince a significant degree of awareness, often, for example, turning their leaves to optimize their ability to gather the light they need for photosynthesis.\n\n**Consciousness** – I use this term to refer to the phenomenon of awareness of one’s awareness… the ability to reflect on, or think about, one’s own thoughts and perceptions.  While all life-forms evince awareness, relatively few exhibit consciousness. Those that do include humans, great apes, cetaceans, elephants, and possibly octopi and a few kinds of birds. Although there remain many unanswered questions about the nature of consciousness, it is clearly an attribute that requires the existence of at least a rudimentary neocortex in the structure of the brain.\n\n**Personhood** – For purposes of this discussion, I find it useful to regard personhood as the presence of consciousness. This distinction between persons and less evolved animals is not trivial. For many human omnivores it forms the basis for the decision to avoid cannibalism – to not eat people, including those that are less evolved than we humans.\n\n**The Issues**\nAs I’ve examined the controversy, I observe four issues that Vegans seem to consistently overlook. I call them the Evolutionary Imperative, the Animal Equality Fallacy, the Environmental Impact Analysis, and the Vegan Posture.\n\n**The Evolutionary Imperative**\nWhile I don’t find it intellectually compelling, there has, in fact, been some interesting research done that suggests that not all humans have evolved the same dietary requirements. This work indicates a likelihood that some of us evolved a dependency on vegetable-based nutrition, while others are more grain and root dependent, and still others thrive best on a more-nearly carnivorous diet. To ignore this and suppose that meat-eaters are just stubborn flavor bigots is scientifically unsound. To compound this bias by accusing those who eat meat as condoning psychopathic cruelty to animals is a logical non-sequitur, having no basis in fact. \n\n**The Animal Equality Fallacy**\nA common feature of Vegan diatribes is the notion that all animals are “sentient” and that, from an ethical perspective, should therefor be treated with the same concern for their possible pain and suffering that most of us reserve for other people – or at least other humans. What they fail to address is the fact that animals are not alike. They are not all “people” by any rational definition. The possession of sensory awareness (sentience) does not equate to consciousness. Most people are aware of this distinction and would therefor refrain from cannibalizing people, including those that are less evolved than humans. Vegans seem to me to consistently ignore these facts.\n\n**The Environmental Impact Analysis**\nVegans often claim that in a just world people would only eat fruits and vegetables and that animals would be spared the cruelty of the meat-eaters. I would dispute that assertion. Biologists have long known that every square meter of uncleared wilderness contains billions of microscopic animals, millions more that are visible with a magnifying glass, and untold numbers of insects, arachnids, worms, amphibians, birds, reptiles, and small mammals. If, as many Vegans maintain, all these creatures have the “rights” of people, how is it ethical to kill them and destroy their ecosystems in order to grow crops for the purpose of preventing the death of a much smaller number of chickens, pigs, and/or cattle? The logic of such thinking totally escapes me. \n\nIf crickets, for example, have as much “right to life” as steers, how does it make sense to kill endless generations of crickets, perhaps numbering in the millions, to prevent the deaths of a much smaller number of steers? The numbers of animal deaths due to agriculture is vastly greater than the number due to animal husbandry.\n\nFor that matter, some members of the agricultural community maintain that cattle, as we use the term, would have long ago become extinct were it not for their being farmed for food.\n\n**The Vegan Posture**\nThe only significant difference I perceive between “Vegans” and “Vegetarians” is the fact that those who call themselves “Vegans” usually claim a moral high-ground over their meat-eating brethren. Even a relatively inexperienced student of interpersonal communication will recognize in this behavior the fact that the Vegan stance transmits an underlying message that says, “All you meat-eating monsters are psychopathic sadists who like to torture animals. We Vegans are better than you. Our morality is superior to yours.”\n\nIt doesn’t take a Freud to recognize the deeper significance of such “virtue signaling”. It is a very clear indication of an attempt to compensate for a chronic lack of self esteem. Just like the sneering manner of many “flat-earthers”, it is a very visible sign of emotional impairment.\n\n**Conclusion**\nTo those Vegans who feel offended reading this article, and I’m sure *some of you are offended*, I suggest you refrain from escalating your outrage unless you are quite certain that my remarks *actually apply to you*. It is not my intention to attack, belittle, or deprecate you. I offer these observations and their interpretations as feedback from which you might actually benefit. Emotional impairment is not an automatic “life sentence” - unless you choose to make it so.",

      "body": "![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPhpT8XpHDxZywpnKjVtVPgC8jGnQKdDtNkjGFGqkzifA/image.png)\n\nIntroduction\nWhile I’ve written previously on the subject of hierarchy, my recent exposure\nto the ideas of Jordan Peterson has inspired me to share some thoughts that\nseem to me complementary to his, coming to the subject from a somewhat\ndifferent direction. Serious students of applied ethics will probably note that\nmy analysis, while not as detailed and multi-dimensional as Mr. Peterson’s, is\nintentionally truncated in certain ways in order to “spotlight” those analytical\nfeatures most useful in the practical application of my formulation.\nMost of my comments below are demonstrably “factual”, but the subject-\nmatter requires me to also include certain “opinions” that I hold – by which I\nrefer to beliefs that I have reason to believe are true, but which I have, as yet,\nnot “proven” in the strict scientific sense of the word, such proof being\nbeyond the scope of the resources that I have available.\n\nLet us begin this discussion by outlining some basic definitions, so we are\nliterally talking the same language. A useful start being consideration of the\nword, “hierarchy”. While it appears to be a noun, it obviously doesn’t\nrepresent a person, place, or thing. You can’t carry one in a wheelbarrow, no\nmatter how big the barrow. It is, rather, what John Grinder calls a\n“nominalization”, which upon examination actually can be seen as a\nsymbolic representation of a complex combination of events, actions,\nprocesses, and their relationships to one another under various perceptual\nmodalities.\n\nThe most general definition of “hierarchy” of which I’m aware is the simple\nmathematical notion that a hierarchy is an “ordered set” of physical objects\nor ideas within which comparisons can be made, and rules discerned\nconcerning how the elements comprising the set relate to one another and\nhow they can be combined. So, for instance, the set of “prime numbers” is a\nsubset of the set of “integers”, which is a subset of “rational numbers”, which\n1is a subset of “real numbers”, which is a subset of “complex numbers”, which\nis a subset of “vectorial numbers”, which is a subset of “tensors”. And\noperations on each of these conceptual groupings are defined by rules that go\nby names like arithmetic, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, topology\nand so forth.\n\nSomeone wishing to provide the “highest resolution” theory of hierarchies\nmight do well to use the mathematics of set and group theories as a starting\npoint. My point in writing this is to call to your attention that within any set\ncomparisons require the definition of a dimensionality or of one or more\n“axes” along which comparisons are to be made. So one might say, for\nexample, that the integers, 1, 2, 3, 4, ...etc. can be “arranged” in a sequence\nfrom “smaller” to “larger” - their “size” being the basis of comparison.\n\nSimilarly we can distinguish the set called “life” as comprised of the subsets,\n“plants” and “animals”, and we can make comparisons of such features as\ncomplexity, awareness, mobility, intelligence, and creativity. I doubt anyone\nwill challenge the usefulness of hierarchy as a means of categorization.\nWhen it comes to the analysis of hierarchies comprised of humans, there is\nliterally no end to the number of dimensions along which they can be\ncompared. This is, as far as I can see, the reason the “political arena” is so\neffective at the “divide and conquer” game that results in so much suffering\nand death.\n\nOn the other hand, there are three specific axes of comparison that I see as\nespecially germane and relevant to human hierarchies. They are the\ndimensions of Competence, Power, and Ethics. Mr. Peterson makes a\ncompelling argument that human hierarchies are inevitable and necessary,\nbecause it is an evolutionary advantage for humans to value competence, and\nthat this awareness is actually encoded in our genetic makeup. As far as I’ve\nbeen able to see, Mr. Peterson seems to think that the necessity of the\ncompetence hierarchy implies the simultaneous necessity of the Power\nhierarchy, which he admits is at odds with the Ethics hierarchy. It is at\nprecisely this point that my view differs somewhat from his.\n\nAn Alternative Viewpoint\nIn 1950 the words, “Made in Japan” had a very specific meaning in most of\nthe world. And that was: “cheap poorly-made knock-off of a product\navailable elsewhere.” So at that time the Japanese industrialists had little to\nlose by adopting 25 suggestions offered them by William Edwards Deming –\nsuggestions that he collectively labeled, “Statistical Quality Control”. Just 15\nyears later, Japanese industry was arguably the most effective, efficient, and\nsuccessful in the world. What few seem to realize is that, whether by design\nor by luck, the outcome made Japanese industries more ethical. And it did\nthis by leaving the power hierarchies intact while simultaneously amplifying\nthe influence of the competence hierarchies operating within the industries.\n\nBy persuading corporate administrators and executives to act favorably on\nsuggestions by those in the lower levels of the power hierarchies, Deming’s\nsuggestions (i) reduced the influence of the power hierarchy while amplifying\nthe decision-making influence of the competence hierarchies. This provided a\nmuch-needed feedback mechanism that ameliorated the prior bureaucrati-\nzation that characterizes most power hierarchies. The fact that this happened\nappears to me proof-positive that the the necessity of a competence hierarchy\ndoes not require the acceptance of a dictatorial power hierarchy – with its\nadmitted susceptibility to corruption.\n\nThesis\nIt is my contention that a group of individuals wishing to form an ethical\nsociety, for any ethical purpose, can successfully divorce the need for a\ncompetence hierarchy from the acceptance of a power hierarchy – thereby\neliminating completely the presence of a power hierarchy within the\norganization thus formed. And I further claim that this possibility offers our\nspecies the opportunity to solve what I believe to be humanity’s “Big\nProblem” - the fact that our dominant institutions consistently make unethical\ndecisions.\n\nMeanwhile I’m of the opinion that our species is in a very dangerous unstable\ncircumstance much like that of Japanese industrialists in 1950. If we don’t do\nsomething significantly different from what we’ve done in the past, we are\n3likely to become extinct. To me this means we have little or nothing to lose\nby experimenting with a real alternative – one which Deming would have\nrecognized as going beyond the realm of “tinkering” with the existing system\n– a practice that he deplored when advising the Japanese. To this end, let’s\ntake a closer look at the hierarchic dimensions of Categorization,\nCompetence, Ethics, and Power.\n\nThe Utility of Categorization\nSince all the information any of us has about the world around us comes to us\nvia the senses, it is an important feature of our evolution that we are able to\nsort our perceptions into manageable categories. In doing so, of course, we\nare creating categorical hierarchies that are very useful. This capability,\nwhich we largely exercise subconsciously, provides an enhanced means of\nfocusing our attention at the conscious level. In doing so it amplifies our\nability to discern similarities and differences between the elements of the sets\nthat we observe, or to identify comparabilities and isomorphisms. This in turn\ngives us the ability to observe the “time” dimension of our experience and to\nformulate the concepts of “cause and effect”.\n\nIn short, our capacity for discerning categorization hierarchies is a\nfoundational component of “science”, the best method we have to date of\ndistinguishing true information from false information – which is factually\nthe sole purpose of science.\n\nThe Value of Competence\nWhen you are a member of a group of people who agree on the desirability of\nfinding a solution to a perceived problem affecting everyone in the group,\nwhose ideas on the subject are you most interested in hearing? I maintain that\nthere are 3 levels of awareness that we look for in answering this question –\nand they all have bearing on the nature of competence and trust.\n\n1. Knowledge – Your knowledge is the totality of information that you\nbelieve to be true – whether it is or not. I think it self-evident that\npeople seek the counsel of those with more knowledge, rather than less.\nThis is why so many cultures revere their elders – because they’ve been\naccumulating knowledge longer than the younger folk available. But\nknowledge alone, while necessary to establish competence, is\ninsufficient for that purpose.\n\n2. Understanding – Your understanding is mostly discernment of the\ncause and effect relationships between the items of information that\nmake up your knowledge. Logic, reason, intuition, and imagination are\nall involved in this capability. Its primary value stems from its\nenhancement of your intelligence – your ability to predict and control\nevents in the “real world”.\n\n3. Wisdom – Is awareness of the meaning or significance of one’s\nunderstandings. The best “lens” of which I am aware, for recognizing\nwisdom, is the ethics, which I discuss below.\n\nIt is my contention that these three characteristics together form the basis of\nthe hierarchy of competence sought by those seen as leaders in creative group\nendeavors.\n\nPower Hierarchies\nMost societal institutions, such as governments, their agencies and\ndepartments, corporations, cartels, charities, schools, and so forth, are\norganized as power hierarchies. In fact when most people use the word\n“hierarchy”, it is the hierarchy of power to which they refer. So what is it?\nPower hierarchies, usually described as pyramidal in form, are comprised of\na set of people who, at each “level”, claim the “authority” to impose rewards\nand punishments upon those at lower levels, while submitting to the\nimposition of rewards and punishments by those at still higher levels. For\nthose at or near the apex of the pyramid, this provides certain efficiencies and\nadvantages; but for most of the members of the set it is highly disadvan-\ntageous. Except for the topmost, everyone in such an organization has to\nendure the potentially tyrannical expectations of their “boss”, who typically\ntakes credit for their underlings’ successes while simultaneously blaming\nthose underlings for their own failures.\n\nIn this environment, corrective feedback that could flow “upward”, from\nthose who do the work to those who make the decisions, is severely impaired\n– the attitude of the decision makers often being, “If I wanted you to have an\nopinion, I’d provide you with one.” This systematic elimination, destruction\nand avoidance of corrective feedback is the definitive hallmark of\n“bureaucracy”. In its presence, creativity and innovation, the key ingredients\nin lasting success, are stifled, and the future of the organization is doomed.\n\nThis danger is further amplified by the fact that psychopaths and their\nsociopathic imitators are characterologically drawn to circumstances that\nenable them to control and dominate others – and they do so with no regard\nfor the well-being of anyone but themselves. So power hierarchies become\never-expanding centers of societal influence – most of it self-serving, evil and\nentropic.\n\nIt seems clear to me that every worthwhile organization on the planet would\ndo well to find a way of benefiting from its competence hierarchy while\ndeleting the ill effects of its power hierarchy – if not the power hierarchy\nitself. In such an organization there would exist mechanisms that\nappropriately acknowledge individual members’ skills, talents, awareness,\nproductivity, creativity, and other competencies while not permitting anyone\nin the organization to have any substantive punitive power over any other. To\nmost, I expect, how to accomplish this must seem like an insoluble puzzle.\nStill, I wish to propose a solution.\n\nSolving the Puzzle\nIn order to suggest a solution to the puzzle to which I’ve alluded above, it is\nnecessary to define the puzzle in terms that are compatible with the problem-\nsolving task. The first step in this process is to provide a sensory-based\ndescription of the solution as an “outcome”. In other words, what directly\ndiscernible evidence will we observe that verifies the manifestation of a valid\nsolution?\n\nTo find an adequate answer to this question, I begin by making a moral\ncommitment to live, to the best of my ability, by the objectively valid\nEvolutionary Ethic ii that states simply:\n\nAn act is ethical if it increases truth, awareness, love, and/or creativity for at least one person, including the\nperson acting, without limiting or diminishing any of these resources for anyone.\n\nNow I switch into what I call “Oracle Mode”, by saying what I expect to\nobserve in the future as others join with me in ever-expanding communities\nof ethical societies, comprised of similarly committed individuals.\n\n• By any sensory-based metric I choose, it will be evident that the world\nis becoming a place of peace, prosperity, and freedom – literally for all.\n\n• Public discussion of ethics will be commonplace and most will\nunderstand the values of truth, awareness, love, and creativity.\n\n• The traumatization of children as infants, toddlers, and school-agers\nwill finally have come to an end, thanks to a large degree to the work of\nDayna Martin.\n\n• Child indoctrination centers will no longer exist, though multi-familial\nfacilities will emerge to assist unschooling parents in helping each other\nin the face of the need to balance child inspiration with adult financial\nresponsibilities.\n\n• Most social environments will feel “safe” and present themselves as\neasily trusted.\n\n• Most people will experience a strong sense of “belonging” in the\nsociety that surrounds them. Gone will be the feelings of isolation and\nalienation that so many experience in today’s world.\n\n• War, severe poverty, widespread crime, and drug addiction will be\nlargely artifacts of a bygone past.\n\n• Preeminent institutions will make consistently ethical decisions – the\nextreme opposite of what we see today.\n\n• The most important and effectively pervasive decisions will be made\ninitially in small gender-balanced groups – typically of 7 to 10 people.\nIn these groups (that I choose to call “Octologues”):\n\n◦ The Evolutionary Ethic, or one logically equivalent to it, will be\nthoroughly understood and widely adopted.\n\n◦ The agreed purpose of the group will be ethical.\n\n◦ All group decisions will be unanimous.\n\n◦ Members will be trusted to give and receive honest feedback to and\nfrom one another.\n\n◦ Adequate and effective mechanisms will be in place to amplify the\nindividual and collective creativity of the group members and to\nfacilitate resolution of conflicts, whether they be internal to an\nindividual or operating between individuals.\n\nBecause critical decision-making is decentralized and distributed in the\nculture described above, I call the culture “Socio-Polycentric Stewardship”\nLet’s take a closer look at the mechanism by which this new culture will\nemerge.\n\nThe HoloMat – The Blockchain of People\nThe HoloMat iii is an organizational protocol that does for personal\nrelationships, in all settings, what the blockchain does for financial and\ncontractual relationships. Just as the blockchain is not an artifact of power,\nneither is the HoloMat. Just as the blockchain eliminates the need for trust in\n8various centralized “authorities”, so the HoloMat spreads authority out to the\nlimit – the individual conscience. It is, in a very fundamental way, the very\nantithesis of authoritarian power... the ultimate power equalizer, distributor\nand decentralizer.\n\nIn the preceding sections, you’ve read a full description of the personal\ngrouping that I call the Octologue. Now imagine a group of Octologues that\nwish to cooperate in some way – perhaps in the formation of a business, a\nsocial cooperative, the development of some intellectual resource, and so on.\nSuch Octologues can associate and affiliate with one another in a number of\nways, the best ones by way of an ethical contract. Here are the best\nparameters that I know of for the articulation of such a contract.\n\nThe Ethical Contract\nThere are many laws on the books that set out to define a valid contract – some are\nwell written – others are not. The best ones contain the following basic elements\nand provisions:\n1. The parties to the contract are clearly identified.\n\n2. The purpose of the contract is clearly defined.\n\n3. What each party to the contract contributes to the group participating is\nspecified.\n\n4. The liability that each participant undertakes – and the limitations thereto –\nis defined.\n\n5. What each party to the contract is to receive in exchange for his/her\nparticipation and contribution is clearly set forth (the quid pro quo).\n\n6. The duration of the agreement is specified together with the means by which\nthe contract may be terminated.\n\n7. The right of any participant to withdraw from the contract is affirmed; and\nthe legal and financial consequences of such withdrawal are specified.\n\n8. The means by which the contract can, and may be, amended are detailed.\n\n9. Violations of the contract are defined, together with the various\nconsequences of such violations – including various penalties to which\nviolators may be subject.\n\n10. The separability of the terms of the contract is affirmed – assuring that if\nsome portion of the contract is later deemed invalid that the remainder of the\ncontract shall remain in effect.\n\n11. The means by which disputes concerning the contract and other matters are\nto be resolved is specified.\n\n12. The court having jurisdiction (if any) over disputes concerning the contract\nis specified.\n\n13. Affirmation that each person signing the contract has read it, understands it,\nand has received adequate legal or ethical advice to understand all the\npossible legal consequences that may result from becoming a party to it.\n\n14. Affirmation that each person signing the contract does so of their own free\nwill.\n15. Signatures of the parties and (where applicable) signatures of witnesses.\n\nConcerning “Equality”\nI’m not sure I completely understand Jordan Peterson’s thinking (iv) on the\nsubject, but I’m of the impression, from a number of things he has said, that\nhe thinks that the poor, whom he refers to as “the left”, play a critical role in\nmaintaining the tension that limits the proclivity of the psychopathic well-to-\ndo to run roughshod over everyone. Where my opinion differs is that I see the\nplight of the poor as a macroscopic manifestation of what he might call “the\nunresolved completion of the oral stage of infant development” - brought on,\n10I would hazard a guess, by parental neglect in the first year of infancy. That is\nsomething I think will diminish drastically over time as “peaceful parenting v ”\nand “radical unschooling (vi) ” knowledge spreads.\n\nMeanwhile, for those of you wishing for more equality among people, the\nHoloMat protocol (vii) provides every participating individual as much equality\nwith the others as is humanly possible without violating fundamental ethics.\nAny organizational paradigm that makes people more equal than this,\nnecessarily results in unethical outcomes, and human suffering and death\non an industrial scale.\n\nFor those afflicted with Socialism or Communism, the bright side of this\nequation is that adoption of this protocol in your own life brings all the\nrewards that you yearn for – specifically “material well-being” for all who\nparticipate. This was the value sought by those who comprised the Soviet\nUnion. The associated belief system was that more such well-being could be\nattained under the direction of a tyrannical communist regime. That false\nbelief led to the near-universal poverty of the Soviet people.\n\nThe downside of this circumstance is the fact that fruitful participation in the\nHoloMat Protocol requires that you put in the necessary effort – the typical\neducation period required for the recovery from the “socialism” affliction is\nabout 6 months if done intensively.\n\nConclusion\nWhen Nature makes laws they are never broken by humans. No one has ever\nbroken the Laws of Thermodynamics, the Law of Gravity, or the Laws of\nSupply and Demand.\n\nLegislative laws, on the other hand, are of an entirely different sort.\n\n• They are all presented as serving the purpose of protecting the public\nfrom the unethical violence of various evil-doers – while their\ncorruption enacts vastly more violence than that which they claim to\nprevent – in spite of the fact that the claims of their proponents are\ngreatly exaggerated.\n\n• Protecting the public has never been the actual purpose behind the\nformation of the world’s legal systems. From the Declaration of\nIndependence to the issuance of the speeding ticket, the whole system is\na giant scam – the selling of a product that never existed in the real\nworld. The real purpose of man-made laws has been the plunder of the\nmany by the few viii . And for that purpose, the legal system has been\nvery successful.\n\nFor this reason I see the differences between the “left” and the “right” as\nmere window-dressings for betrayal, deceit, and mass murder. This is a huge\nproblem, but if there is to be a solution, it cannot be a political solution,\nbecause the political system is a fundamentally unethical “tool” ix no matter\nwho wields it. Like Tolkien’s Ring of Power, it serves only its makers and\ncorrupts everything it touches. More prosaically expressed, “Ethical ends can\nonly be attained by ethical means.” (x)\n\nFinally\nI invite the better-informed readers to pass the word on to others to the effect\nthat the trail to a world of peace, prosperity, and freedom has been blazed,\nand that the anticipated increase in traffic along that trail will turn it into a\ngentle pathway – then into a primitive road – then a paved road – and then a\nhighway. Does it “trigger” feelings of outrage? Do you instantly assume it was asked as an “attack”,  a “put-down” or an “insult”? Does the question somehow imply that you are “damaged goods”?  Let’s take a moment to examine your response.\n\nWhat would be your response if I posed the question, “Are you a fraznorf”? Or, worse yet, how would you respond if I asserted that  “You are a fraznorf”? Would you feel insulted? Maybe I was offering you a compliment. You don’t know and, for the moment at least, you don’t care. At worst you might feel curious about what the word “fraznorf” means.\n\nSimilarly, would you be offended if I asserted or suggested that you are a “chair”, a “table”, or a coffee-pot?\n\nOf course not...but why not?\n\nI suspect the reason is that you know with absolute confidence that you are not any of those things.\n\nSo why might the question, “are you damaged goods” offend you – as does the suggestion that the phrase might apply to you? Do you lack that level of absolute confidence that the term does not apply to you? If so, how did that circumstance come about?\n\nIt is my hypothesis that you (and I) only react emotionally to assertions that have some truth to them – some truth that your subconscious has been hiding from your conscious mind, ever since some forgotten event in your past in which you did suffer some “damage”. The reaction you call “offended” is, I suspect, an attempt by your subconscious to keep you from recovering a memory for which you have amnesia – specifically, the memory of some traumatizing experience. When this is so, it is useful to suppose that your subconscious has been attempting to protect you in some way from that memory, and that as an adult the “protection” is no longer needed. More to the point, the emotional reactions you feel today, that result from that defensive amnesia, will oftentimes cause you to behave in ways that those around you might describe as “toxic”, “disagreeable”, “neurotic”, “obnoxious”, or “assholic”. Is this to your advantage? Might it be to your advantage to recognize and nullify the effects of such amnesias? Those in the know would advise it most heartily.\n\nCognitive Readiness\nFor just a few moments I want you to imagine you are Harry Potter at age 11, and you are having your first face-to-face conversation with Professor Dumbledore.  He is old and wise and you trust him as he leans toward you with an affectionate smile in his eyes and says, “Harry, I’m sure you don’t remember how you got that scar on your forehead. In fact, I’m guessing you didn’t even know you had a scar until the first time you looked in a mirror. This is because you have amnesia for the terrible event that caused it. \n\nThat event is going to affect you every day for the rest of your life. So I want your permission to give you the information you will need in order to make sense of your life and of the way others perceive and respond to you. Do I have that permission?”\n\nWhen you’ve answered that question as Harry Potter, please take a mental step out of the fantasy and answer the question as yourself. Are you willing to just find out what the “scars” are that those around you react to – and what they mean in the scope of your life. Please read no further until you can say “yes” to this question.\n\nThe Most Common and Basic “Scars”\nIn each of the following sections I describe a behavior or set of behaviors that comprise the most common emotional “scars” that are discernible to those with whom you come in contact. For each I give a very brief thumbnail description of the childhood trauma that creates these scars. For more detailed explanations and clues about how they can be healed, I refer the reader to my book, “Soul-Bonding”. Most people in today’s world bear more than one of these scars, so watch for your friends and family in these descriptions. With a little luck, you’ll find yourself as well.\n\n“Terrified Tony”\nTony always manages to be “special” in some way – often by virtue of his extreme sensitivity to the people, “vibes”, energies, and “entities” that he perceives nearby. Often spiritually inclined and psychically endowed, he is likely to feel unseen – painfully invisible to the extent that his feet seem to barely touch the ground. He is likely to carry himself with an air of superiority or, at the other extreme, a kind of exaggerated humility.\n\nHis problems stem from having been terrified as an infant – often in the first few weeks of his life outside the womb. And at that age it doesn’t take much to terrify one – a mother’s scowl, an ungentle diaper change, the hateful expression of a mother too anxious, depressed, or worried to nurture an infant. Perhaps his mother was “Hungry Hannah”\n\n“Hungry Hannah”\nHannah presents herself to the world as loving, caring, and generous – scornful of those she deems less generous than herself. Observing her more objectively, it is apparent that her generosity is based on other people’s resources – not her own. She finds her political niche on the socialist / communist spectrum and hides her deeply depressive moods behind a facade of political activism.\n\nTrying to be friends with Hannah can be very difficult and frustrating, because she is literally insatiable. Nothing anyone does for her is ever enough. Loving her is like trying to fill a bucket that has a big hole in the bottom. What you put in is quickly dissipated – leaving her dissatisfied and frustrated. She is sure the world owes her much more than she is getting. Behind her mask of generous caring, her heart is filled with envy and hatred of those she regards as better off than she.\n\nThis behavioral pattern began when Hannah was an infant and was repeatedly left to cry herself to sleep when she needed to be fed, held, cuddled, and seen. Children left too long and too often in this way actually die as a result. Little wonder the survivors feel cheated and bereft. \n\n\n“Obedient Oscar”\nA typical “good boy” since the age of two, Oscar is the epitome of the obedient child. He follows the rules, obeys the laws, and is generally agreeable and easy to get along with. He describes himself as a rebel, but his rebellious outbursts are always short-lived. When it comes to love, he will offer to do anything...be anything his partner desires. But beneath the agreeable mask, he is a demanding authoritarian expecting your constant obedience. He offers to be your slave while secretly wanting you to be his slave.\n\nAs a toddler Oscar had to settle for approval instead of love – and the approval was very hard to come by. One or both of his parents crushed his will by never allowing him to say “no” to their demands, and by punishing him severely for his disobedience. His heart is filled with unexpressed resentment which leaks out in various forms of “passive aggressiveness”. He doesn’t “get mad”, but he often “gets even” in ways that seem unintended -  until one recognizes the pattern. Then his secret anger comes across as spiteful or sadistic. He is  likely to hold a grudge and is drawn  to work in law enforcement.\n\n“Psycho Sally” and “Sneaky Suzie”\nThis pair have similar dynamics, but for different reasons. They are both impulsive misfits who act without any regard for the well-being of those around them. Often handsome or pretty, charming, sexy, and smart, they are constant liars, often drawn to positions of power over others – lawyers, judges, politicians, corporate CEOs, spies, assassins and their like. Habitually dishonest, even when there is little or nothing to be gained by lying – they are often capable of believing their own lies.\n\n“Psycho Sally” was born with a cerebral birth defect – the absence of the capacity for empathy and a corresponding lack of awareness of her own emotions. In the absence of these capabilities, she sees people as mere things – objects to be used and manipulated at her own whimsy. Often making promises she has no intention of keeping, she never feels guilt, shame, or remorse about harming others. When she feels threatened, she can be very literally dangerous.\n“Sneaky Suzie”, on the other hand, doesn’t have that birth defect, but has found it expedient to act as if she were Psycho Sally. She lies, cheats, steals, and harms those around her, much as Sally does, but she didn’t take on those characteristics until she was four or five years old – at which age one of her trusted caregivers physically (often sexually) abused her while her other care-givers failed to protect her. The abuser was often the parent of the opposite sex and the parent of the same sex was often aware of the abuse, but did nothing to intervene. Not infrequently, the abuser is of the same sort as Psycho Sally. It is a natural reaction for children to defend themselves against  parental manipulation by learning to “out-manipulate” the offender.\n\n“Selfie Sergio”\nSergio will call you up at an inconvenient hour and, until you interrupt him, he will complain to you at length about all the trials and tribulations he is going through with his ex-wife. Did I forget to mention – he didn’t say “Hello” when you answered the phone. He didn’t say “This is Sergio”. And he certainly didn’t ask if you had time to talk with him at all. Nor did he apologize for waking you up. In fact he’d often talk to you as if you’d been listening for an hour to the thoughts he was having before he called you. You’re just supposed to have figured all that out. In fact, he can’t imagine you having a life that didn’t constantly involve him.\n\nWhen a child can’t get love, he’ll settle for approval. If he can’t get approval, he’ll settle for attention. When even attention is hard to get, and the child is sufficiently frustrated, he will sometimes become like Sergio – ready to get your attention whether you like it or not. A major component of his frustration is anger, which he is quick to express – often in a superior, judgmental, authoritarian manner, mimicking his more authoritarian parent. His posture of superiority is usually based on a grandiose self-image as if ready to conquer the world single-handed.\n\n“Binary Betty”\nBetty alternates between deep depression and unbounded grandiosity, In her depressed state, she suffers from all the challenges we saw in Hungry Hannah, including suicidal depression. Alternately, she acts just like Selfie Sergio – boundlessly enthusiastic and self-absorbed based on a falsely exaggerated self-image. \n\n“Rigid Rialto”  \nThe rest of the personalities that we find unpleasant are usually formed between the ages of 3 and 5, and are aptly described as “rigid”. Often amplified by puberty and exacerbated by schooling, they are all products of intense frustration, and are frequently ingrained attempts to deal with the dysfunctional character of the relationship between their parents.  A common consequence is the belief that they can only be free if they refrain from loving. Among this group you often observe:\n\n~Addictions\n~Blaming and shaming\n~Compulsions\n~Disdain for love\n~Emotional aloofness\n~Hatred of loved-ones\n~Hatred of men/women\n~Homosexuality\n~Obsessions\n~Phobias\n~Physical aggressiveness\n~Polyamory\n~Promiscuity\n~Religious bigotry\n~Responsibility avoidance\n~Self-consciousness\n~Self-loathing\n\nIn Summary\nIt is obvious that we all have our “pet peeves” about the behaviors we dislike in others. What is less obvious is the fact that these are usually the traits in us to which others react, but which we are oblivious to in ourselves.\n\nLacking access to detailed memories of early childhood, we create illusions of who we are. We invent stories of wonderful childhoods and present ourselves to the world as caring and noble, while denying the unresolved pain, suffering, and resentment that those around us are able to perceive in us.  Doing so seems to absolve us of responsibility – so we blame others for “making us” feel as we do, thereby confusing hallucination with perception, perception with reality, ideas with feelings, and feelings with intentions.\n\nIn short, until we remember who we are and how we became who we are, we are all “damaged goods”. Until we teach young mothers “Peaceful Parenting”, we will continue to promote the amnesias that keep us from knowing who we are, and will continue on a societal trajectory that can only end in our extinction.",

My topic is: Visualize Peace – Defining the Critical Path. It represents the culmination of all the work I’ve done, and all the lessons I’ve learned, over the past 45 years.\n\nIt took me many years to find a life of peace, prosperity, and freedom. It was a long and difficult trek. But with some luck I found my way there and can now show others a “shortcut” - a “critical path” of causally related events leading to the desired outcome. \n\nCome find out if such a life is for you.\n\nMy search for peace began in 1971 at the age of 33, when I began questioning my own beliefs – and discovered that 90% of what I believed was false. At that point I began asking the question, “What will it take – what has to happen – for humans to actually thrive and flourish?” and its corollary, “What will happen to humanity if we don’t thrive?”\n\nThe answer to the second question didn’t take long at all. I realized very quickly that our species is headed for extinction if something dramatic doesn’t change in the near future. Events taking place around the world are increasing social entropy at an accelerating pace. Such increased entropy indicates increased violence, destruction, disease, death, and decay - not at all a desirable outcome.\n\nIt was 1973 when I first began to appreciate the benefits of increased awareness, and realized that enhanced awareness must be a critical component of a peaceful future.       "body": "<html>\n<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/KH1u4gvdIrU\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen></iframe>\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Introducing The Plunder State</strong> &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What is It?</strong> &nbsp;It is a sad fact of life that in most of the world today, especially the United States, a dangerous three-tier class of social parasites has arisen that I call the <strong>Nobility, </strong>the <strong>Plunderers,</strong> and the <strong>Enforcers.</strong> Just for fun, let’s assign them a collective label. I’ll refer to them as the <strong>Ruling Classes</strong> or just as the <strong>Rulers.</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>The purpose of this article</strong> is to impress upon you the fact that you are being robbed on a far greater scale than you probably realized, and to prepare to explain, in a subsequent article, a way that you can interact with members of the <strong>Ruling \tClasses</strong>, <em>if you must</em>, with minimum risk of being killed, robbed, caged, or otherwise brutalized. While this method may not <em>always</em> work, it comes closer to that goal than any other approach. In fact, I<em>’ve never known it to fail</em>. And in many circumstances it is <em>spectacularly</em> successful. I \tcall the method <strong>“Moral \tKung-Fu”</strong> - or M<strong>KF</strong> for short.</p>\n<p>The <strong>Enforcers </strong>are the police forces, the enlisted military, the mercenaries, the \tintelligence “assets”, the hired assassins, the “confidential informants”, the courts and their functionaries, the jail and prison personnel, and the civil services \tpresent within all government agencies. These are the most dangerous parasites and the ones public individuals are most likely to encounter. Although \ttrained to exhibit many sociopathic traits, members of this group are &nbsp;only rarely devoid of empathy, compassion, and conscience. So \tthey can usually be reached \tat the human-to-human“ level of discourse – which \tis the essence of <strong>MKF</strong>.</p>\n<p>The <strong>Plunderers</strong> are the \tvarious gang leaders to whom the <strong>Enforcers</strong> \treport. They include \telected and appointed politicians, and their lower level appointees,\tthe lobbyists who negotiate the politicians’ bribes, and the corporate executives who hire the lobbyists and directly benefit by bribing the politicians. They also include the operators \tof mainstream media – the news publishers, magazines, TV and radio networks, and academic institutions, as well as the commercial banks. And one should probably include the “Intelligence Community” - the alphabet soup of snoops and spies who surveil the rest of us.</p>\n<p>In this group of parasites you will find an elevated percentage of \tconditioned sociopaths and true psychopaths. These are fairly easy to recognize by their obvious aspirations of promotion to the <strong>Nobility.</strong></p>\n<p>As \tfor the <strong>Nobility</strong>, they are the ownership class, the so-called “elite” or \t“powers-that-be” of which you’ve probably heard from time to time. They are the owners \tof the central banks, the Federal Reserve System, the World Bank, \tthe Bank for International Settlements, and the International Monetary Fund. \tIn this class of parasites, it is very common for the decision makers to be charming psychopaths. These are the kings and courts of our modern feudal system. Fortunately you will probably never have to deal with them directly.</p>\n<p><strong>Extent of the Plunder</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The extent of the plunder perpetrated by the <strong>Ruling</strong> <strong>Class</strong> is <em>so great</em> that it is impossible to wrap one’s mind around the reality. The human brain simply cannot grasp what the numbers actually mean – they are so big.</p>\n<p>Still, until one has an inkling of the magnitude of the problem, it is hard to understand the vast benefits to be had when <strong>MKF</strong> becomes widely known and utilized. For \tthis reason it behooves us to review a few facts that provide a \tpartial summary of the extent of the damage being done to our species by members of the <strong>Ruling Classes</strong>.</p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>The Raw Numbers</strong><br>\n The financial damage inflicted on us by the <strong>Rulers</strong> can only be described in terms of <em>trillions \tof dollars. </em>A trillion is a number so big the mind needs some help to grasp what it means. Please visit this link for some illustrations that depict \tsuch numbers.<br>\n <a href=\"http://demonocracy.info/infographics/usa/us_debt/us_debt.html\"><strong>http://demonocracy.info/infographics/usa/us_debt/u</strong></a><a href=\"http://demonocracy.info/infographics/usa/us_debt/us_debt.html\"><strong>s_debt.html</strong></a> . \t<br>\n <br>\nAs you can see, the “national debt”, that represents what the US \tgovernment has “borrowed” from future generations yet unborn, \twould look like 21 skyscraper -sized stacks if piled on pallets in \t$100 bills. Make no mistake – this is <em>plunder</em>, because there is no way this “debt” can ever be repaid to the people from whom its value was stolen.<br>\n</li>\n  <li><strong>Military Fraud</strong><br>\n The day before the attacks of 9/11/2001, it was announced that the \tPentagon alone had “lost” or “misplaced” (couldn’t account for) <em>another</em> \t2.3 trillion dollars. The next day the forensic accounting office that \twas tracking the “missing” money was destroyed and all its records lost when the office was hit with a missile. The resident team of accountants were all killed in the attack.<br>\n&nbsp;</li>\n  <li><strong>Taxation</strong><br>\n One of the biggest forms of plunder in the US and around the world is \t<em><strong>taxation</strong></em>. Direct, indirect, and hidden taxes account for about half the income of wage earners in the US. \tIf this practice were ended, the average standard of living would essentially <em>double.</em> \tConsider, for a moment, what you could do with your savings if you were allowed to keep the money you earned and to spend or invest it as you see fit. Would \tyou be buying bombs to be dropped on innocent people half way around \tthe world? Most people would <em>not.</em><br>\n &nbsp;</li>\n  <li><strong>Inflation</strong><br>\n One of the most difficult forms of plunder to assess accurately is \t<em><strong>inflation</strong></em>. Both central banks and commercial banks routinely create money out of nothing and charge interest when they lend it. Since the founding of the Federal Reserve in 1913, the <em>buying power</em> of the dollar has consequently dropped by about 98%. This means that in 1912 you would only have paid <strong>2¢</strong> \tfor an item that costs you $1.00 today. This means that, were it not for taxation and inflation alone, you would be almost <em><strong>50 times</strong></em> as well off financially as you are today. <br>\n <br>\nThink what that means. Imagine how you would live if your salary was 50 times what it is today. This represents just a portion of what the \t<strong>Rulers</strong> \thave stolen from you. For a thorough and entertaining explanation of how the Federal Reserve was created and how it affects us, I recommend the following speech by G. Edward Griffin: \t<a href=\"https://realityzone.com/product/creature-from-jekyll-island-lecture-1-cd/\"><em>https://realityzone.com/product/creature-from-jekyll-</em></a><a href=\"https://realityzone.com/product/creature-from-jekyll-island-lecture-1-cd/\"><em>island-lecture-1-cd/</em></a> <br>\n&nbsp;</li>\n  <li><strong>Cartelization</strong> <br>\nMost cartels are groups of business people who form an organization to maximize its members’ profits and to establish and maintain a shared monopoly in their chosen field. Most of them call themselves “professionals”. <br>\n&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>In order to jack up their pricing structures above the normal market levels, they contract with government plunderers to enforce their rules. They sell this idea to the public by claiming that their rules protect the public from unscrupulous and incompetent practi-tioners. In this way they virtually eliminate competition. As a result, every commercial activity that requires a government-issued <em><strong>license</strong></em> is <em>controlled</em> by a cartel.<br>\n&nbsp;</p>\n<p>In effect, the government steals your right to contract freely, as the US Constitution supports, and <em>sells it back to you</em>. In the end you pay through the nose for the services of doctors, lawyers, dentists, veterinarians, plumbers, electricians, financial advisors, accountants, and <em>many</em> others. According to Business News Daily and the Institute for Justice, as many as 1/3 of all jobs in the US now require a license. <br>\n&nbsp;</p>\n<p>It is of interest to note that in other countries, where these licensing requirements don’t exist, the same or similar services can be had at a fraction of the prices charged in the states. In such countries, many tangible products are also far cheaper because no license is required to sell them. Good examples of this are pharmaceutical products and natural medicines. It is impossible to really estimate how much cartelization costs the consumer; but it clearly represents a form of plunder comparable to the others we’ve described.</p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Prisons and Jails</strong> Data \ton the true cost of prisons and jails is difficult to come by, but the best estimates I’ve seen indicate that the penal system overall costs the public about a trillion dollars a year. \tHalf of this cost is borne by the tax-payers and the other half is derived from the inmates and their families. It is also noteworthy that among federal inmates, the number \tincarcerated for “victimless crimes” is typically 6½ \ttimes the number incarcerated for violence and property crimes. <br>\n &nbsp;</li>\n  <li><strong>Fines and Forfeitures</strong> To really understand the dynamics of fines and forfeitures, it is necessary to first understand the definition of “crime”, because \t<em>only</em> <em>restitution</em> for a crime can morally justify confiscation of a person’s assets. <strong>In the simplest of terms, a crime is an act that creates a </strong><em><strong>victim</strong></em><strong> – a real live human being who has been killed, physically injured or constrained, or whose property has been stolen or damaged. </strong>All the law dictionaries agree on this point – or \t<em>did</em> \tthe last time I looked. \t &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Strange as it seems to us, most of the plunder in the form of fines and forfeitures is a response to so-called “victimless crimes”. The organizations responsible for this form of plunder usually attempt to cover their asses by calling the acts of <em>their</em> victims “violations” or “infractions” - thereby claiming that their victims may be <em>treated like criminals</em>, but without some or any of the protections criminal law usually provides to criminals. A jury trial, for example. Or evidence beyond mere accusation. &nbsp;<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Civil Asset Forfeiture</strong> is performed by cops based upon <em>their </em><em><strong>suspicion</strong></em> that the asset they steal was obtained by your participation in a crime. Based solely on their <em>suspicion</em>, they can take your cash, your personal valuables, your fancy car, and even your house and your bank account. In most states the burden of proof will be on you to prove you didn’t commit a crime to acquire your asset. This is a very expensive undertaking and rarely results in retrieval of your assets.</p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/north_america/americas-current-economy/police-civil-asset-forfeitures-exceed-all-burglaries-in-2014/\">Armstrong Economics,</a> in 2014 the Enforcers and Plunderers confiscated (stole) some $4.5 billion in the US. According to the FBI the total value stolen by burglars that year was only $3.9 billion. So now the asset confiscation based on suspicion exceeds the proceeds of all the country’s burglars by more than 15%. &nbsp;<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Fines levied by judges</strong> comprise an interesting aspect of the Plunder State. According to Boston Consulting Group, between 2009 and 2016, north American banks paid fines of 204 billion for their misdeeds. Yet there is no evidence that any of that money went to the victims of bank fraud. Compared to the magnitude of typical banks’ fraudulent operations, $29 billion a year is really trivial – a small piece of the cost of business-as-usual, as far as the banks are concerned. <br>\n<br>\nAt the other end of the scale – the end at which most of us operate, traffic courts are hugely successful Plunderers. Consider the facts reported by <a href=\"https://www.statisticbrain.com/driving-citation-statistics/\">StatisticBrain.com</a>. According to them:</p>\n<ul>\n  <li>Speeding tickets alone reap $6.232 billion a year in the US from 112,000 people a day. This doesn’t count all the other victimless non-crimes for which people are ticketed - “infractions” like improper lane change, failure to signal, driving while intoxicated, broken taillight, phoning while driving, driving without seat-belt, driving without a license, without registration, \twithout insurance, etc. <br>\n <br>\n None of these behaviors are crimes; yet if one objects to or resists this roadside <em>assault</em>, one can be maced, electrocuted, bludgeoned, knifed, shot, or caged. These folks are certainly <em>treated</em> \tlike criminals. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br>\n<strong>Stolen Wealth</strong> <br>\nFrom the foregoing, certain conclusions seem obvious:</p>\n<ul>\n  <li>The <strong>Ruling</strong> Classes have \tstolen, and continue to steal, <em>vast</em> \tamounts of financial wealth from the rest of us.<br>\n</li>\n  <li>Between the “war on drugs”, the “war on terror”, and the rise of the modern police state, the <strong>Rulers</strong> have managed to legalize their whole system of plunder, thereby making it very difficult to resist meaningfully.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Plunder is the world’s biggest industry. It takes different forms, but is \treadily recognized by the pain and impoverishment it inflicts.<br>\n&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>If the current circumstance isn’t quickly challenged, it could easily lead to extinction of our entire species, because the <strong>Nobility</strong> \tappear to believe they can survive a \tthird world war – and seem bent on provoking one – to maximize their profits and plunder.<br>\n <br>\nMeanwhile, millions of people worldwide are suffering and dying on a scale never seen before. In the past century the Plunderers and \tEnforcers have killed almost 300,000,000 of their own people – <em>not \tcounting</em> the effects of warfare. <br>\n <br>\nThe most important conclusion is, perhaps, the realization that it is the <strong>Ruling</strong> <strong>Classes</strong> that are the <em>real criminals</em> – not the non-Rulers \twho are being preyed upon. If you try to keep what you’ve earned, the <strong>Rulers</strong> \tcall it “tax evasion”. If you attempt to help someone else keep \twhat <em>they</em> have earned, they call it “money laundering” or “conspiracy”. \tIf you manufacture silver coins that could be used as money, they \tcall it “counterfeiting”. If you manufacture and sell natural medicines, they call it “drug trafficking.” The pattern is simple. The <strong>Rulers</strong> \tinvariably accuse their potential competitors of doing what they \t<em>themselves</em> are doing.<br>\n <br>\nSo in my next post I’ll begin to address the question of how one can \tpush back with <strong>MKF.</strong> <br>\n<br>\n<strong>Until then, Live free,<br>\nBob Podolsky</strong></li>\n</ul>\n</html>",
